Every time I pull in for gas, which is priced better than most in the area, I encounter a guy behind the register that looks like Chris Stapleton, he is always nice, wishes everyone either a good day or a blessed day. SoCal (all of Cali, too?) gas prices have still been on extreme high over some other States, I believe, so this gas station was no exception. Surprisingly, I uncovered that it went slightly down $4.59 from the sign out front, So I decided to stop by for a pump since I went down 1/4 tank left. I just took away a star for the generally high gas prices anywhere in Cali. Overall, it's actually a convenient gas station to stop by. My former UNIK station either closed or changed owner so didn't drive that way: plus, this gas station was on the way to Westfield Santa Anita. Customer service was fast and efficient, I'll make this my next favorite gas station here in Arcadia, CA. when I'll be back again. read more

Needed to stop by to grab gas before heading back to the IE. This AMPM location is close enough to the freeway to where I could grab gas and go. The prices are not bad either, maybe a few cents cheaper than others. It wasn't too crowded when I pulled up and seemed easy to navigate in and out of especially being located on a mainstreet. read more

So reviewing a gas station might seem trite and plebeian, but hear me out. This gas station is great for many reasons. - Large size with 16 pumps, so you don't have to wait. - Large size so you can drive in and out of easily, or back into another lane so your gas port is facing the pump. - Very affordable, even though located near more affluent cities. - They have squeegees for a quick window wash. - Very clean store filled with snacks and drinks. - Fast service at the register. ...and the best for last, the BEST reason is Kris, he's the whole reason why I even bothered with writing a review. If only there was a "Kris" at every establishment, how much better the world would be. Over the various times I've filled up gas here and had Kris, those 30 seconds of interaction can turn your day around. I'm not good at the "you look like game" but maybe Harvey Joel Osment? He is a dynamic employee, diligent and gives 110%. He has a genuine upbeat and friendly demeanor with an infectious smile. Keeping things fresh maybe switching it up to Spanish when counting out change or saying hello to regular customers by name. There's a guy here behind the register, he's usually around in the morning time during the weekday. Always cheery, really takes everything up a notch. Quite a character. I like this Arco, strategically not too far from the freeway. Also Veterans, the new VA Health Clinic is right next door. Anyway they have a good breakfast sandwich the croissant w egg and sausage. I think it's better than what the fast food restaurants offer. In California only, there's a .35 fee for debit. Probably not Arco's doing because none of their Nevada locations do this. You can thank our crazy gas prices for that. Sometimes it gets crazy there like a keystones cop crazy, trucks, cars every which way, so it might be better to go at night or early morning. My only beef is the air hose, needs to be replaced. They had duct tape on it the last time, I have new tires now but paying $1 and fudging around with it wasn't fun. read more

And the gentleman behind the counter comes out and starts yelling at me to move my car. I said move it where? He said anywhere - but you need to move your car now! Remember when you were in the fifth grade, and your teacher introduced the concept of fractions? Here's a refresher: as the denominator (that's the bottom number) gets bigger, the fraction gets smaller. Neat concept, right? Apply this basic upper elementary tenet to your next tank of gas at Arco. It seems folks get all huffy about the 35¢ debit fee per purchase. In protest, they'll go across the street and purchase gas at the 76 station for 35¢ extra per GALLON. ...which brings us back to that elementary school math... Remember multiplication? If you buy 10 gallons of gas at Arco, your 35¢ fee works out to a total of... 35¢, or 3.5 pennies more per gallon than the listed price on the board. That same tank of 10 gallons will cost $3.50 more across the street. Yeah, I know you've heard all about the additives and low grade gas and that's baloney-- do your research, and unless you're driving a high performance car that requires premium fuels (aside: this probably also indicates that your financial station in life is such that you make no distinction between 35¢ and $3.50), it doesn't matter where you purchase gasoline in California. Save some money, Casanova, and buy your girl a flower from that guy on the corner with the money you saved on gas. As for this station, it can be annoyingly crowded at times, and a ghost town at others. At night, there's a little old man working the joint who will mirror whatever emotion you show him. He sometimes struggles with the register, and you can throw him pretty quickly with some fuzzy math or giving extra bills to get specific change... But he's usually nice if you're nice to him. Usually ;) Arcadia PD stops here often to use the restroom and get coffee. Nice guys and gals in blue... And the restrooms are decent too for a gas station. The lottery ticket machine gets turned off at like 4 pm (all right, slightly later than that) so take your big winners to 7 Eleven. I've sometimes suspected it's because the night guy can't work the machine, or the boss doesn't quite trust him. Who knows? Coffee is usually fresh-ish. I don't eat gas station heat lamp foods, so no idea about the quality of that wrinkled, gray hamburger-like abomination sweating in its own condensation under a heat lamp and wrapped in damp paper since the Clinton administration. But I'm sure it's delicious, you should totally buy it. The best thing about this AMPM is the ice at the soda fountain. They have both pillow ice and that crunchy ice. Nothing slakes thirst and soothes your founto-testine like a 78 oz. fountain drink filled with that crunchy ice. It doesn't fit in my truck's cup holder, but balancing it between my knees while I drive helps me develop multitasking skills. All in all... It's a gas station, kids. Their sodium halide lights attract moths at night just like everyone else's. read more

The store and gas station itself are really clean. Every shelf is organized and easy to find anything. The employees are polite and nice. But the line was too long. Also, I took cup of coffee and it was too hot. Even with cardboard covering it was hurtful to keep it in hand. read more

Why do I go to Arco because they have the lowest price gas of all the stations around anywhere I go. The only thing is that they only take cash or debit card which is probably why they are the lowest priced. Some of the locations have great staff too. read more

These people are cheats!!! The price will be one thing in the morning and then halfway through the day they raise it up $.04 to $.14 more and then in the middle the night thy lower it again to the lower price and then halfway through the next day they will raise it up again. They're cheating their customers that drive by them in the morning and say "hey that's a good price I'll come back later" and then they come back later and it's much more expensive. Waiting for a pump is common. Prices are good, but it is always crowded and drivers are crazy. Also the piped music and ads are annoying especially as they play simultaniously. I prefer to pay extra and go to the station across the street. read more

.35 cent surcharge for debit cards so best to pay cash, always busy because usually lowest prices in the area, staff are mostly friendly but might mess your gas order up every once in a while (assign wrong pump) because they are so hoppin', interiors are well maintained and clean compared to most other places read more

I hardly go here but I was in the area and this Arco location was very cheap. I like this one better than the Arco on Rosemead and Foothill because it's less crowded and there aren't bums hanging around it asking you for money. The pumps are new and you can pay outside without having to go in. I'll continue to come here if I'm in the area. The lot is also spacious so it's easy to get in and get out. read more
