I'm glad pharmacy is still open when this world pandemic is going on. However due to social distancing, when you come to pick up your Rx, forget about HIPPA and be ready to yell out your personal information and what prescription you are taking to the person who is 6 ft away at the counter and so that everyone around you can hear your name, DOB, address and what health condition you have. I'm also glad most of the staff working at the counter are wearing masks to protect themselves at work, however, if you are an elderly with trouble hearing, standing 6 ft away, it's really hard to hear what the counter clerks are saying back to you with their masks on. After the pharmacy counter staff named Sammi, with her mask on, calling out "patient last name C", I wanted to make sure if she's calling out my name since there were quite a few people waiting around at the same time. I asked her, "you mean first name C?" Sammi then rolled her eyes and said "whatever, first name C then" loud enough to where I could for sure hear her. It's not just whatever. It's disrespectful. If you don't like your job and don't want to work, please don't show up with an unprofessional attitude disrespecting patients. However, on the flip side, so many people have lost their jobs or gotten a paid cut at this time, you should be grateful you still have a job! After I let her know I didn't appreciate her unprofessionalism, she used the only authority she had, and that was to send me back to the end of the checkout line. My husband and I are both healthcare providers and we like CVS offers good prescription discounts on goodRx. However, from now on though, I'll warn all my colleagues to avoid sending their patients to get Rx filled at this CVS location. Also when patients ask us to call in Rx for them, I will make sure to offer alternative pharmacy options. read more

This pharmacy department has to be one of the worst in the area. The staff is not friendly at all and very unprofessional. The girl that was "helping" me must be new or a trainee. Whatever she pulled up on screen was "out of stock" so she asked another person and the other girl just said "yea, pick whatever". For a professional pharmacist, stating "whatever" for prescription medication is pretty alarming. After all that computer input, she didn't confirm that she was done with me until I asked if I wad done. Like I said, very unprofessional. Getting my COVID-19 vaccines, Moderna Doses 1 and 2, at CVS South Baldwin was simply the best. The website was so straightforward and easy to use; I also loved that doses 1 and 2 were scheduled at the same time. In store, getting my vaccine was so convenient, efficient, and comfortable. This is the CVS that I come to pick up medicine from. I understand that the pharmacists and workers have long shifts. During my visits, I've often been helped by a pharmacist named Wilson Lam. He is extremely rude to me and I've chosen to ignore it many times. However, this afternoon, as I was waiting for my medicine, I saw that he was working with an elderly couple. The elderly couple were really kind and patient despite Wilson Lam treating them horribly. He raised his voice and constantly scolded them when the couple asked questions. I'm utterly speechless at how their customers are treated even more at the fact that it was two elders who had difficulty hearing and walking. read more

NO TO CVS! Changing our Family Pharmacy from CVS to any other pharmacy now. First time to this location and experienced bad service too soon - Once is enough. I changed our Pharmacy to this one as it is the closest but it won't hurt to go somewhere farther with good or at least decent customer service. It seems like there is a lot of better ones than CVS especially than this location. Reviews of others about some employees here were true, especially with the Pharmacy Tech Stephanie C., the lady with punky colored hair and nose ring (I think it's called a bull ring). I went there to pick up the masks provided by the fed on the first day available, and the clerk at the pharmacy said to us they are all out and they are not going to get them anymore. On the first day? I looked over the clerk shoulder, and I saw there were a bunch of them in the back room. I wonder why they are not giving them out? Most likely, they keep them for themselves. Large location, open 24 hours, has a pharmacy and CVS minute clinic. That is all the quick positives I can think of this place. Even though it's such a large store, the pharmacy and CVS minute clinic has a long wait time. This is because they have the same number of staff as a smaller CVS but just with a large floor plan. So if you have any questions or need help finding a product you often have to go up to the cashiers and ask them. Even though the items are on sale, you can find a cheaper price on Amazon.com. The item selection is paired down, with a focus on cheap brands at a mark-up. Good for snacks and sodas, like a giant 7-11 but any home goods you'll most likely find prices marked up. read more

This is one of the few 24 hour CVS Pharamcy in the area. I think the next closest one would be on Main Street/Las Tunas in Alhambra. However this is almost twice the size!! It really has everything here from food to small household appliances to a huge section of beauty/skin care/make up products to office supplies. This store seems to be well stocked of all the items they offer. I went in there recently to buy mostly household cleaning supplies and they had all that I was looking for. I just didn't like the fact that I had to get an opened box of the Swifter starter kit because some previous customer had opened it to check. They only had one left of that starter kit and I didn't want to drive to another store to find another one. Luckily I checked the box to make sure all the parts were there, so I bought it. Make sure you sign up for their card so you get rolls of coupons! If you don't use the coupons though, it will be on the pricey side. The only thing I would suggest in improving this store is creating a prominent area for people waiting in line. When there are only 2 cashiers at checkout, having a "form a line" area would be useful so customers do not start forming two separate lines. read more

This used to be my go-to CVS for its Minute Clinic and easy drugstore goods. It's fairly average as drugstores go, but this last incident left a bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately, it's not directly about CVS, but the customers it serves and allows to run around do contribute to the overall shopping environment. My mom and I were shopping moisturizers. As normal customers do, our cart was parked nearby as we browsed. Then this customer 2x the size of my mom in height and girth pushes up with her cart, saying "YOU guys have to move." No hint of "excuse me" or "pardon me." This wasn't a language issue or an unfamiliarity with social etiquette. Fine, we naturally scoot because we're not at CVS to block randos and we can overlook small acts of rudeness. Then, she sprinkles our moving with remarks of "more, more, more, more" and swatting hand movements until she's clear. My mom frequents this CVS, and let's just say I'm disappointed she has to deal with these types of people probably more often than once. read more

This pharmacy sucks! If it wasn't for the fact that they're open 24 hours I would never want to step in here again. I don't know if they accept too many patients or the staff are utterly incompetent. The worst experience was today when my doctor called the office at 4:30pm and by the time we went to pick up the medication at 6:15pm we were told they didn't bother refilling the prescription or done the write up yet and we had to wait 20-25 minutes. A FREAKING HOUR LATER (not an exaggeration I took an image of the coupon on my moms phone with my phone because her battery is dying and the time stamp showed it took an hour). By the time they finally call our name and when I showed them the coupon I have the lady has the nerve to berate us for not showing the coupon first! What the hell is their problem?! Meds aren't cheap and it's not like I'm asking for them for free. If they didn't slack on my prescription I could have shown them the coupon then. So she sends us to another man to fix the price and he fixed it and then gave our meds to another pharmacist to REFILL OUR PRESCRIPTION AGAIN. After 75 minutes I rushed to get out. So freaking rude. I can't thank enough this 24 hour pharmacy who actually has a pharmacist on duty to fulfill prescriptions. my husband had terrible cough and I had to get a prescription for antibiotics. Other CVS doesn't have 24 hour pharmacists but this location does. I called to confirm that they were open and the pharmacist on duty on a Saturday night confirmed antibiotics was available there. I love the fact that this pharmacy is open 24/7 even on major holidays, but I was disappointed when they had me waiting 40 minutes to tell me that my Rx was not available because they don't have it in stock. They should have checked first to make sure they had it in stock before telling me to wait for 15 minutes for my name to be called on the intercom which they did not or give me the option of going with an alternative medication. Moving forward I will fill all my Rx at AllCare Pharmacy in El Monte. It may not be a 24/7 pharmacy but at least they will not waste my time by telling me if they have the medication in stock. Sorry to leave you CVS for my future Rx. I am giving you 2 stars because I was lucky enough not having to wait in line for more than 10 minutes. read more

i usually don't mind this cvs it WAS my favorite cvs stocking wise. i excuse the long wait time and slow printer but today really did it for me. i had a coupon that i sent to my card and also have a digital print and if you're a long time shopper of cvs like me you know how the coupons work and if they don't scan you can type the barcode for it that's on the coupon. or the coupon code that is also on the digital print the guy refused to take my coupon saying i should have it printed . but i sent it to my card and it disappeared but i have the digital print which is proof it didn't expire yet he still refused to take it the cashier lady next to him told me to print it at cvs and just pay for the print. like maybe she doesn't understand the concept of coupons? lol i'm starting to think maybe it's because they're racist. they're willing to take other ethnicities nonphysical coupons but won't take mine. oh well. i have no problems at the other cvs for taking my digital coupon. because once u use it it invalidates it from being used again anyways (: so welp there goes ur $100 sale read more

This pharmacy CANNOT get its act together! We left them years ago, but now our insurance says we have to use them. Dropped off the information last week to transfer one single prescription. Explained that they'll have to call the doctor to get the updated Rx, that it wasn't a simple transfer. Went in several days later and yup, you guessed it, the update had not been made. They said it would be a few more days. Not only was ours wrong, but the people on both sides of us were complaining that theirs were wrong too. We haven't used this pharmacy in probably 20 years and they STILL suck! Filing a complaint with the insurance company immediately! There must be something else we can do so we aren't forced to deal with this incompetence. read more

This person was legit lecturing me and loudly asking why "Kaiser" had called in my prescription?! Just had the most horrible experience. As my 75 year old mom and I were standing in line, an employee wouldn't stop yelling at us to use the self check out. We thought maybe she was telling us we had to use it because the regular check out wouldn't be able to so we walked up to it. She then started grabbing our items and continued to yell as us about using bags or not. We asked many times for her to step back and keep 6 feet of social distance. She refused more than once and also was taking off her mask to drink from a cup on her hand. I turned to the regular check out cashier and asked her to help us instead since they had prior barriers in place. I had to asked the other employee to leave us alone multiple times until she finally walked away from us. The "self check out" machine is adjacent to the regular check out, with no social distancing barriers. Our cashiers name tag said she was the operating supervisor. After I told her our concerns including caring for a high risk at home person at home with cancer, all she said was that she'll talk to the other employee. read more

For passport photo make sure you print out the coupon. They don't take anything electronically. Supposedly they don't get reimbursed from CVS for electronic coupons ‍. Everybody know that it's take forever for a cashier's at CVS to cash people out ( I strongly believe that it is their up-selling strategy.) and I always expect to wait at least 5 to 10 minutes to shop with them ,but this location take the cake. ( Meaning, they are the worst! ) Cashier are slow as usual but to put icing on the cake, (most but not all of..) their employees always give customer a bad attitude, trying to express their miserable feelings ( indirectly) toward guest/ shopper. Sometime they even argue with customer about a long waiting time etc. " I only have two hands.", Loudly said that " I can only help one customer at a time" ( I over here other guest said they didn't even rush them, why they have to say that?..., When customer request not to get the receipt, some of them will tell customer that" Trash is in the front!"( Which make people feel like they try to tell us to just take it or something along those lines.) These are just some example I experienced/ witnessed. I wish there's a Rite aid or Wall green near me so I can shop there instead. No wonder this place only have two stars. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. EDIT: ADD I just read through other people review to make sure that my review is fair and accurate for them and I came to a realization that this CVS location actually don't give a dam about customer service at all. I needed a TB test clearance for a new job. I learned that certain CVS locations have something called "The minute clinic". Its like a Dr's office except in a drug store. The Minute Clinic offered the TB test i needed and it seemed like the most convenient option for me. It's a spacious store and was pretty organized for the most part. The makeup counter was a bit of a mess but that's pretty much the case at any drug store lol. So back to the Minute Clinic... it only has ONE person working...which is stupid.. And because there is only one person working, the line moves very VERY slowly. They don't take insurance for most of their testing which sucks because they charged to not only perform the TB test but also to read the TB test 2 days later. I also found out that you can save your spot in line ahead of time so that you're not just waiting around in CVS for hours. YES, I did spend a lot of time waiting around there and Yes, I did get suckered into buying a bunch of stuff i don't really need. So, if you need a quick diagnoses or test, i would recommend the Minute Clinic. Just make sure you go online and check in from home to save your spot in line ahead of time! read more

Chole, the cashier at the front checkout is by far the worst experience I have ever encounter. CVS sent me 25% coupon in the email and usually I sent it to the CVS card. Normally, checkout, the cashier will ask you if one would like to use the available coupon. Laura and Rosie are always very kind and very helpful. This morning, I went in and brought essentials (been going to this CVS since 2004), and here comes the cashier Chole, doing her normal scanning and etc. However, Chole, did not ask me if I like to use my available coupons that are on my CVS card, and went to another register to perform some other duties and told me the amount I need to pay. I've gently reminded her that I have a 25% coupon on my CVS card, Chole proceed to "tap" her keyboard on her register extremely hard. One can see that the register was shaking violently. And then she proceed and said "...anything else?" This person should never be at the register to help anybody, because doing her job bothers her. I have also called the management and complaint about her behavior. There's no need to slam her keyboard so hard in the first place! read more

It has taken about 2 hours to get a partial prescription order. First, it took me 40 minutes of standing in line, finding out there's no prescriptions waiting for me, me calling my doctor to make sure they sent the prescription, the pharmacy not finding anything in their fax machine, me calling my doctor to find they sent the prescription once more, and standing in line to find out that the pharmacy was finally be able to obtain the prescription from their outdated technology. Then it takes the pharmacy technician 20 minutes to manually type all the prescriptions in (at least I assume that's what they're doing since they seem to type forever..). Add another half hour to wait for the prescription to be filled and another half hour to stand in line to finally get my prescription. The employees don't seem too happy working here either but I don't blame them. The frustrating technology and the fact that they are understaffed are holding everyone back. read more

I waited in line for what seemed like an hour (I think it was, actually). I played Sally's Spa on my boyfriend's iPhone .. for like 4 or 5 mother effing rounds dude. DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG 1 ROUND IS? I finished a whole level!!!!!! NO JOKE. So after someone is finally able to help me, she tells me they have my prescription but they didn't type it up yet, so she tells me to wait another 15 minutes. 15 minutes later .. the guy asks for my insurance card, which I do not freaking have. I call my mom to give him my insurance # or whatever, he tells me to wait another 15 minutes. 20 minutes later my medicine is FINALLY READY. I felt like I spent my whole night at that dang pharmacy. (haha I even met a lady while I was waiting who told me she paid a kid $1 to stand in line for her while she napped in a chair ... FOREAL? yes foreal.) In conclusion, this pharmacy sucks. Hire more people or something, my gosh. The pick up line feels like a Disneyland ride line. It was like I was waiting for freakin' Space Mountain, except the only difference between CVS and Space Mountain is that I DIDN'T EXPERIENCE AN AWESOME RIDE TO MAKE UP FOR THE LONG ASS WAIT.
