Nothing special about this CVS Pharmacy. Just your normal drug store. However, I come here often. It is conveniently located near my house. They have a Chase ATM inside, so I always stop by to grab some cash prior to going out. It is also a convenient place to grab a bottle for pre-party purposes. Its nearby and relatively quick. Don't believe whatever they told you!!!! I wanted to buy this makeup product and they didn't have it, asked a cashier and he told me the stock is going to come on Friday. So I came on Friday, and they didn't have it. I came on Saturday, and they didn't have. I asked a cashier guy again, and he told me they have the shipment already and they will display on racks tomorrow. To be safe, I came on Monday at 9pm, and my god!!!!! They still don't have it!! Count your medication! Twice in recent months the pharmacy has miscounted the medication. I didn't find out until later at home. Went back to the pharmacy and told them about their mistake. Of course they didn't admit to anything and said they double count them. My advice is not to trust them. Count them yourself in front of them. They should be audited. Stop here on my way home from work on Fridays and there's always a bunch of people holding up Bernie sanders signs and flags which is fine but they take up all the cvs parking and come up to your car as soon as to pull in wanting to know where your political allegiance is and they've pressured me to buy a $5 Bernie sticker every time! Funny cuz the lady was holding a sign that said "NOT FOR SALE" while trying to make me buy a sticker. Too much of a hassle especially after a long day of work. First I sat down at one of the photo kiosks and went through the process of selecting our photos. After I clicked "print", I got my receipt, and was told to wait until someone else's batch of photos finished printing. I walked around the store for a few minutes, and when I came back, all I saw was a plain header sheet... no picture. The employees looked around, said it might've gotten mixed up with the previous customer's pictures, apologized, and asked me to print again. I went through the process again, waited again, and this time, I watched the header sheet come out with nothing else before or after it. They were about to ask me to try it again until somebody realized the problem... They don't have 3x5 paper there!!! They never have, and they never will. Plus, they never removed that feature from their kiosk, they don't have a sign warning people about this, and they don't even provide an error message in the header sheet! What a terrible way to run a business. I got my money back, but not the 45 minutes of my life back. read more

ordered photo prints online. cvs website said if we sign up online, we get free 25 prints. so i made 2 orders, 1 for the free 25 prints and another order to pay for. when i went to pick up, the only had 1 order....and it was not the free one... they couldnt find my other order so then they had to do reprints but did not know how long it would take... so i left and went back later, and the prints were finally done. BUT it charged me again, so ofc i was pissed, i mean these were supposed to be my free prints. so i told the man and he said its okay.. in the car, i looked at the pictures and realized my pictures were zoomed in, so some parts of the picture was cut off... horrible. never coming here again. 2 stars because the man was nice enough to search everywhere for my missing order and gave me reprints... read more

Shoutout to John for the great customer service. I had a few makeup items to return. He was nice helpful and had a great attitude. I went to a different cvs location in rosemead to return items and the lady gave me a super hard time and made me feel uncomfortable returning some makeup items that were only used once. I gor to the store right before 10:00 pm due to the longest traffic signal and the man in charge said he could not let me in to grab my medicine. After a couple of minutes of pleading with him, he said he couldnt let me in cause it was 10:01 p.m. if he had mot wasted time refusing to let me in, he would have had no reason to deny entey before 10. I usually don't have a problem at this CVS except once I bought candy that was over a year old and it looked like it was moldy and burned with a lighter ( totally weird considering the wrapping was okay). But today I am totally frustrated with this CVS Pharmacy. They told me that my prescription was ready yesterday and now today, they have to refill it. I have been waiting for over 20 min and am still sitting here wondering if they ever clean this place. It's dirty as crap and they are missing like half of their gift cards. Called just to see if they carried a specific prescription. Waited on hold for 42 minutes!!! When they finally answered, they said they didn't have the prescription in stock and couldn't find the prescription. Called doctor to transfer prescription to Wallgreens or SavOn. SavOn has no problem receiving the prescription and had it ready in half an hour. read more

I honestly avoid this place at all costs because the checkout is always unbearable. Why are there only two people tops when checking out? It's not like they have fantastic sales! The store is pretty much a mess and the merchandise is, well, bleh. I went use a money gram , which I always use me and my sister. I went to checked out and the clerk with purple hair said she couldn't process it because the identification card had a middle name and the money gram didn't. I use money gram all the time and no one puts a middle name maybe a intial but no middle name. I gave her the identification card which i selected on tbe money gram and i gave her the reference # too. She still said no i asked for the manager he looked at it and said no too. He said for me to go back and redue it, so i did and the money gram still didnt ask me for a middle name. I felt they were being judgmental or acting as if my claim was fruadulent. Because i still dont understand and dont get what was the issue. Ths manager told me to go to another cvs , but i said why whats the point if it needs the middle name allegedly. So i left in rage lost out on 40 bucks . i took a buque of flowers and tossed them in the street... This still makes no sense , money gram wasnt the issue cvs was. I dont really come here that often but my usual CVS didnt have the medication I needed to pick up for my uncle and this place did. This CVS has more of a dimmed setting than most but it's pharmacy is more busy than most ive been to. Their pharmacists seem really young but knowledgeable. Every time I visit the pharmacy, the line takes a long time-regardless of how many people are in line. The worst time is when I came in, waited in a line behind one person for about 15 minutes, then I was instructed to wait in another line behind 3 people for another 15 minutes. The nice and efficient lady typed a bunch of things into the computer for a few minutes. Then I was instructed to go back to the line I was originally in which ballooned to 5 people. Here I am still waiting in line and I've wasted a good amount of my life getting a $28 refund and I've had plenty of time to type and edit this review. I'm not sure why things are so slow here considering I never spend a lot of time at the window and there seems to be a good amount of employees behind the counter. read more

Well it's a great location. However not only the pharmacy but the whole store is understaffed. I see no help wanted signs. The parking when busy is a living nightmare and don't bother with the drive thru window unless you have some time to spare. I must say the pharmacy staff is nice and always greets me by my name. If they had told me about all the issues that we needing to be fixed I would have only been twice, which I would have been fine with. Filled wrong Rx. Gave generic instead of brand name for thyroid med. Tried to pass the buck to doctors and said they should have checked box on Rx order for "no substitutions". Called their BS. Said doctors DID!. The pharmacist checked order and, lo and behold, the doctor did. Then tried to say substituting generic for brand name doesn't count as a substitution. WTF?! This is the lowest of the low. Not only did you make a mistake, you can't own up to it, blame someone else, and the reason for it all is to make a buck. Brought my wife here to pick up her birth control prescription that she dropped off on Monday June 27th the pharmacist working told her she could pick it up on July 21 a month after it was due, after realizing my wife had to speak to the pharmacy to let them know that they messed up, after the pharmacist checked they made her wait 15 mins then filled ask to speak to who was in charge of the pharmacy 3 times and never got to speak to anyone.... I wouldn't suggest this place unless your looking for A malpractice lawsuit against the pharmacy!!!! read more

My bf and I came to this CVS store to buy wrapping paper and tape to wrap a bday gift for a kids birthday party. We were running late and had this giant gift to wrap and asked a staff member to borrow scissors and what not. Anyway, in the middle of trying to wrap it, the staff member... who's name is Maria :) just decided to jump in and help cuz she saw us struggling. I really do avoid this place at all costs, its not pretty, the lines are always ridiculous and the selection is pretty limited. For the most part, the service is just okay, no smiles, no nothing. What also is ridiculous is that I had to ask the pharmacy for help getting keys to open the curling iron/straighter cabinet because I was ignored by the people at the front desk. read more

With the cost of prescription drugs these days, you'd think this CVS pharmacy would treat customers with more respect and show appreciation of our business. I absolutely dread having to deal with Stephanie. She always seems disgruntled and entitled. After literally standing in front of her for 20 minutes while she keys away at her keyboard and swiping away at her cell phone, she never even bothers to acknowledge you in line. Once she decides to assist, it's like talking to an ATM machine. I went in to pick up an existing prescription and decided to fill a separate one while I waited since I was there anyways. When she finally fills my prescription she then says it will take 1hr. When asked if I can wait for it, she just casually states "if that's what you want to do". Basically she could care less if I have to make two trips, etc. No mention of whether they'll let me know if it's ready sooner, etc. She clearly needs to choose either a different work environment or career choice because she definitely lacks people skills. If I could I would give is 0 stars. Worst pharmacy EVER they weren't rude or anything but they seem completely incompetent. I went yesterday to get my prescription, I dropped it off and they said they needed to verify with my doctor and it would take about an hour. They called me an hour later saying it was ready and it was going to be about 30 dollars I said okay I'll be right there. I go and they tell me the total was going to be 80 dollars I decide to get it regardless and they ended up telling me they didn't have the medication brand they prescribed me. REALLY?? So they say that they will get it by noon tomorrow ( which is today) & that they will try to get me a better price. They claimed they were going to call me...No call. I call them around 2:30and they sounded like they were clueless and they needed to talk to someone to see if they got it in today. AGAIN, they said they were going to call me in a hour.....It's 5:30 and I have received no call or notification. They need to get it together. read more

Yuck. Ok maybe not totally as I was served by a really nice cashier up at the front counter here the other day, but the pharmacy girl I dealt with? Forget it, and I mean that. I stopped in to ask what it would cost to fill a prescription I had been given. Just a simple task really. When she told me the price I decided not to fill it here. You'd think I had a contagious disease the way she coldly handed back my prescription with a get the hell out of here kind of demeanor. I won't be coming back to this pharmacy ever again that's for sure. It's no mystery as to why my mother goes to Walgreen's just up the street. I don't usually shop at this particular CVS as I go to another one in San Gabriel for the most part. That one is much cleaner, well stocked and the staff is usually nicer. I doubt anyone at CVS corporate or even store level reads these reviews but beware, some of these people they hire are complete idiots and really nasty. Dont come here. The service are terrible! The store manager is a clown. He is acting as if he knows everything. I bought a vicks vaporizer and accidentaly lost the receipt anout 2 days later i came back to return the item because its not as good as i expect for my 2 months old son. i had to buy a better ones. He simply refused it and even asked me what would i do if i were him and he will be in trouble for allowing 25 dollars item returned without receipts. I gave it to him to keep as chrismas present. Pharmacy part is ok...just don't ever buy anything from the regular store. Because if you have to stand in line, you will always find that they only have ONE cashier...despite the 10 people in line. This drive-thru pharmacy has the longest wait of any drive-thru business I have ever used. I only go there because I'm required to use it by my insurance and it's very close to my home. I shutter when I see more than one car in line. I could understand if they were short-staffed but that can't be if there are 5 employees inside and they alternate between the drive-thru and the customers inside. And it doesn't happen only occasionally, the inefficiency is routine. I would prefer to go back to using Walgreens. read more
