Three stars because if you've been to one, you've been to them all. This is a larger, more spacious CVS than others and offers the same merchandise as any other. Many items are under lock and key. Many seasonal items and lots of Star Wars stuff. Overall, a good CVS that offers much of what you need from such a neighborhood pharmacy. read more

I've had my prescriptions sent to this pharmacy for decades and the decline in customer service is extreme. There are always long lines and if you have questions about medications, you'll have to ask Google because these people don't answer the phone. It's so unprofessional. If you're disseminating medication, you have to be able to make time to answer questions. That's really important. It's not a candy vending machine. These are prescription medications that can have side effects or contraindications with other medicines. read more

worst experience ever CVS on 885 central avenue NY on Monday 10/17/2022 i got a money order at cvs and the bank told me to return to CVS so that they can write my name on it. As i've never done it before i didn't know how to use it, so i return to the CVS hoping that they will help me with the money order they've provided me on Friday 10/14 but instead of receiving help or explanation the cashier an arab lady even accuse me to try to make a dishonnest transaction,luckily i met a nice customer(lady may God bless her)who was there at the same time, she was the one who finaly took her time to explain me how to use the money order CVS has given me and i was finally able to use my money order! read more

I give one star because I cannot give zero star. I have been a loyal customer of this pharmacy for more than 10 years. In the first eight years everything went well and honestly I received very good service. However, in the recent ~2 years, for some unknown reason they changed the way how they treat their customers. I have to take a controlled medicine following my doctor's instruction. At first, their prescription refill and pick-up policy is reasonable, which allows me to have 1 to 2 days flexible time to go and pick up my the medicine. But recently, they only allow me to pick up the medicine on the exact day I am out of it. It causes me tremendous inconvenience. There have been several times I actually had sickness but I still had to drive to the pharmacy and pick up the medicine. I talked with my doctor about this. After consulting with his colleagues who are familiar with pharmacy and medication policies, my doctor told me none of them heard such kind of ridiculous policy imposed by the Federal or State government. So they think such policy is purely from CVS. I tried to communicate with this pharmacy's staff and even its manager. Their attitude is extremely rude. Before letting me finish my words, they just walked away. At the beginning of this month, on the particular day they allow me to pick up the medicine, I called them at 9am in the morning and requested them to refill the medicine so when I drove to their pharmacy, I can directly pick up the medicine without any more waiting. Their response is very rude again, telling me only this time they can let me pick up the medicine before 10am but they usually do not release such kind of medicine before 10am. I told them I am out of medicine and I have to take medicine that morning at around 9:30am. They did not give me any response or explanation but directly hung up the phone rudely. Finally I decided to switch to a new pharmacy. I am a normal citizen and due to my health condition I have to take medicines. BUT I am not a criminal or a parolee and I should not be treated like a criminal or parolee. I still deserve good service, not rude treatment. If a pharmacy causes more trouble than the convenient service, then it is time to switch and leave a negative review to them! read more

Booked a test for 2:20. They called the day of and said they were closing early but promised if we came before 2:00 they would be able to do it. We came at 1:50 and said that no one was there to help us, and were extremely unfriendly. Cannot believe it read more

I give 5 stars for this pharmacy. The pharmacists are really nice and they always have my medications when I need them. The staff in the pharmacy are helpful and polite. I highly recommend this pharmacy. read more

Today must have been a low energy day at pharmacy. I come to this CVS every year for my flu shot. But this year was strikingly different. I didn't receive a greeting. No hello, or good morning, or even a hi. The technician in training wasn't rude, but he definitely wasn't pleasant. Far from it. The pharmacist who gave me the shot was nice enough. I don't know, maybe everyone had a bad morning. I only visit this location one a year, but I always come because they were friendly and the service experience was pleasant. This year was not the case, I'm not saying they were rude. But they definitely were NOT friendly. read more

I have bronchitis was ordered a albuterol inhaler today and don't have the $20 for a copay. I routinely fill my families scripts here and never have needed to ask for my medications without paying a co pay. I was denied my medication and I am very frustrated I feel like the pharmacist was rude and could of waived the fee for today and been paid another day. Guess I'll suffer until I can afford to breath in 2 days. read more

One of the worst stores in the district. Nothing ever gets stocked, there is always a huge line at the register with one person working. Typically a debate or an argument about politics, religion, immigration or some other controversial topic. The place is maybe 500 feet from where I work, I just want to get my stuff and get out, I don't want to live there, chit chat, or make friends. Sometimes I will go in for acid reducers, or pain reliever but they are usually out of stock of my normal brands so I have to make due with what they have. I take a lunch and go there regularly to get an iced tea, maybe a quick snack, to take with me while I take a walk since I sit at a desk all day. Many times I do not get a chance to take that walk and I am even late back to work on occasion because of this place. The drinks are stocked very rarely, I wait in line for 10 minutes waiting to ask someone to grab one from one of the four cases in the back. I sometimes wait for the rest of the line to go before any other employee is summoned to help me, I can see the cases from the window, they always remain untouched. All of the drinks missing from the case, all week, are typically from me, same cases, same everything. Once in a while the coolers will get stocked, very rarely, maybe once every seven or eight days, then you watch the drinks slowly disappear, you watch the cases slowly get stacked on top of one another in the back and it starts all over again. One guy tells me he can't stock the drinks because he has back problems, as he is holding a case of drinks in one hand, and lifting his shirt to show me his back belt with the other hand, are you kidding me? Another person can never understand what I am asking for, even though I ask for the same thing every day, and a third is more than happy to help but she is usually off doing the work of two people, when she is working. So... I just started reaching my arm in and grabbing my own can out of the cases, since they are right there, but after about a week of this, again the only cans missing from the four unmoved cases in the back were from me, they tell me I cant do that anymore. Whatever, i'll walk a block down the road to get my drinks from now on, probably take me less time anyway. Funny how they charge a convenience fee on this stuff when its not very convenient, not that my drinks will make or break the company, but they are in business to sell crap, they should make it available at the very least 50% of the time...
