The salon itself is beautiful...very artsy, chic, and full of positive energy. What stood out to me most was how well everyone worked together. You can tell this is a team that truly enjoys what they do and supports one another, which made the whole experience feel so genuine. I was referred to Mayko after seeing the amazing job he did on my nurse's hair, and I knew I had to book an appointment with him. It ended up being one of the best decisions I've made. I was beyond impressed. My hair had previous damage, and after speaking with other stylists who seemed nervous to even touch it, Mayko came in with confidence and completely put me at ease. He knew exactly what he was doing. The final result turned out even better than I imagined. He's definitely earned my loyalty. Nese, the owner, was also so warm and involved throughout the salon, helping wherever needed and making sure everyone was taken care of. This was easily one of the best salon experiences I've had, and it was absolutely worth the 45-minute drive. Looking forward to my next appointment.

I recently went to Cutt-N-Up in Sterling, VA, and had my full beard expertly trimmed down into a sharp goatee. The barber listened carefully to what I wanted and delivered exactly that with great precision. The customer service was fantastic-friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. Treated like I wasn't welcomed there from the moment I walked in. Then was subtly insulted in their first sentence. I never got a straight answer when asking questions. For example: "How much is a hair cut?" (Should have asked before the cut) They charged me $30. I saw another receipt that shown $20 which, I see now coincides with other reviews. For the quality of hair cut, I'd argue $20 was too much. read more

I get there at 9:15 to be early. Not one person asking me who I'm looking for. What my appointment is. Just every barber not paying attention. Then 10 mins go by and I'm asked who I'm waiting on. Then looked over in his direction and looked at me with no explanation. I'm not worried. I know it takes some time to finish someone up in front of me. Well 9:50 comes around and still nothing. I booked my appointment for 9:30 for a reason. I have to work. I'm not just hanging out all day. So I tell them I'm leaving and they tell me he's almost finish but at that point I legit have to get going for work. I then get in my car and the barber comes out the store to my car saying he's ready, if I'm ready. Like what? I've been ready. Why would I want to get my beard trimmed by someone that isn't paying attention to the time or making time for me when I originally scheduled? So I left and never trying Sharp Line Cuts again. I was living in NYC for 12 years and never had an issue. Usually walk in and asked who I'm there for and if I have an appointment, my seat is ready. Again I rarely complain but this was BS. The lack of help, lack of communication, overall bad. And it's not like there aren't other barbers in the area. You guys can't afford bad service with all the other businesses around. I left and went to another one, got in and out faster than I was sitting at Sharp Line Cuts. Anyway, I suggest going anywhere else.
