I didn't even have an appointment scheduled and just walked in. Waited a short while, maybe 10 minutes or so and got a fantastic hair cut. Keep in mind that this was my first time here. I never heard of this place until I looked it up on Yelp. The barber took their time with it, using a comb to make sure the fade was just right. I think his name was Besem. I could tell that the shop was good because all of the young guys going in there to get a cut. They were busy, but still found time to fit me in. The price was $46, plus a $5 tip as requested by Besem. A little pricey for a haircut, but he did an outstanding job. I usually cut my own hair, but after this, I can see leaving it to the professionals more often. I highly recommend this spot. read more

I don't complain about bad business ever. I just take note, and keep going. I booked my appointment for 9:30am a few days ago. Got a text yesterday to confirm, I confirmed. I get there at 9:15 to be early. Not one person asking me who I'm looking for. What my appointment is. Just every barber not paying attention. Then 10 mins go by and I'm asked who I'm waiting on. Then looked over in his direction and looked at me with no explanation. I'm not worried. I know it takes some time to finish someone up in front of me. Well 9:50 comes around and still nothing. I booked my appointment for 9:30 for a reason. I have to work. I'm not just hanging out all day. So I tell them I'm leaving and they tell me he's almost finish but at that point I legit have to get going for work. I then get in my car and the barber comes out the store to my car saying he's ready, if I'm ready. Like what? I've been ready. Why would I want to get my beard trimmed by someone that isn't paying attention to the time or making time for me when I originally scheduled? So I left and never trying Sharp Line Cuts again. I was living in NYC for 12 years and never had an issue. Usually walk in and asked who I'm there for and if I have an appointment, my seat is ready. Again I rarely complain but this was BS. The lack of help, lack of communication, overall bad. And it's not like there aren't other barbers in the area. You guys can't afford bad service with all the other businesses around. I left and went to another one, got in and out faster than I was sitting at Sharp Line Cuts. Anyway, I suggest going anywhere else. read more

Had an appointment, waited an hour for the barber (Eric) to show up and he walked in with a bag of KFC saying he 'slept in'. Was just about to leave but waited a little longer -- looking back, I should've left. I asked for a 2 on the sides/back and to taper it off without going to skin, and a quarter inch off the top. Eric spends the first 10 mins after I'm in the chair cussing and looking for his missing phone, then he pops out a bag of peanuts and starts eating it mid cut. He proceeds to give me a mid fade and takes at least half an inch off the top and makes it way too short in the front, completely ignoring what I said. Worst cut experience I've ever had in my life, make sure to NOT book ERIC by any means necessary at all ever in your life. Never booking this guy again. read more

I walked in this afternoon without an appointment. This business has an appointment app, but I was unable to access it. However, I did create an account online. I was assigned to master barber Melina. She was very knowledgeable and professional. She asked me all the right questions and took extra care and patience in executing the haircut that I wanted. She has a great professional demeanor and is very articulate. The barbershop was not very busy when I went in. It is very tight on seating and a small, waiting area. Scheduled online (impressed); Arrived early at the appointment; there is no host or greeter (not impressed); I checked in online (impressed); sat in waiting area for 23 minutes (not impressed). Questioned a barber about my scheduled appointment. Found out the barber that I scheduled with took a walk-in while I was waiting without calling my name out, calling my cell number or sending me a text, like the checkin process indicated (not impressed). None of the Barbers have visibly displayed name plates to assist with identifying the individuals. I don't even think I saw their licenses displayed. The barber told me that the online system is broken, the owner knows and nothing he can do. Then, I asked why wasn't I called or texted and advised that the owner has access to those numbers but not the barber. (not impressed). I was advised that their system is down and I should have said something. I got tired of waiting in line at a typical barber, but spent more time at this one with a scheduling system. (not impressed) I did my part but epic fail from a customer experience. Then, the website indicates that each cut is finished with a hot towel and hair wash. I was offered neither and received neither. (not impressed) My haircut was good, but the amount of effort to get it was more than at a barber that costs less than $20. I am so glad that we found this barbershop! For starters, I'm very impressed with the app and appointment system. It is easy to schedule an appointment and check in upon arrival. The prices are reasonable and, the shop is very clean and has plenty of seating. The barbers near the front of the shop always welcome us as soon as we walk in the door. My son (age 5) has been seeing Tyrone for haircuts for about 4 months now. Tyrone is extremely patient and professional in addition to being an excellent barber. He is really a master of his craft. He consistently runs on time and has not kept us waiting even once!! It used to be difficult to convince my son to sit still for a haircut, even on my lap, but he has developed a rapport with Tyrone and now goes right back for his appointment and jumps into the chair by himself. NOT WORTH THE PRICE . I went here because my normal barber wasn't available and I was on a crunch for a haircut. I walked in I was greeted nicely and set up with a barber. From the get get go the barber was just rude and not personable as someone in this profession should be. Throughout the haircut he was just rough with the clippers nicking my head constantly without any concern. When I finally finished the haircut I told him I had a skin fade in my head and I had only just said medium fade. His response to this was "you didn't tell me that." When I asked if he could do it he said "Thats like 2 haircuts and I have another appointment." Looking at the haircut the hair wasn't even blended properly to even categorize it as a fade. So much effort just to get a haircut. Im certain some of this headache was at some point to limit exposure of covid but its so extra. You have to download an app and put a credit card on file before they will let you book your appointment. Also appears that once that card is on file you can't remove the card info. The app is a little tricky to understand but eventually I was able to book my appointment and did so days before I was leaving the country for vacation. The day of my appointment I wake to a text at 6 something in the morning saying the barber I booked had to cancel appointments, and that I could go online to reschedule. I selected another appointment for what I assumed was that day and proceed there later for my haircut. Once you arrive you have to check in with the app. I sat waiting in my car for the barber to respond to the check in. He was outside on his phone, then he left briefly, then he sat on his phone again once he got back and 20 minutes later he responded only to realize my appointment wasn't until the next day. The app shows the date but then you have to tap on it and it reveals no appointments available and I had booked an appointment for the following day. So what happened is my original barber had requested off and the owner forgot to turn off his online booking so he was still getting appointments. Instead of ensuring people were rescheduled same day, Frank just said fudge it, here's a text, figure it out. No "hey this person isn't available we made a mistake can I reschedule you with so and so", or here is money off your next cut, sorry for the inconvenience. The guys there were "booked" so they couldn't help even after I explained my situation. I then pleaded with them to give me info for another shop as I needed my hair cut pretty desperately at that point and they acted like they couldn't name another shop initially and after telling them I needed to be in another country the proceeding day they finally coughed up a name. Granted it wasn't the issue of the barbers there, but it wasn't mine either. The other place botched my cut but it was my last resort outside of trying to do it myself, and they took me same day as a walk-in with no notice. I can't review the other shop because I forgot the name immediately after I left because I had not intention of returning. Same with Sharp Lines, DO BETTER FRANK! read more

We live in Ashburn and didn't know if we could find a barbershop that could handle the hair of a mixed race child in the local area. We walked in and everyone was friendly. Sharp Line Cuts was very clean and well lit. At first we tried to have our son sit in the chair by himself but that didn't work. Got a great haircut and beard line up by Frank, the owner. Booking the appointment online was super simple. Also, I liked how when I arrived at the shop, it was just a matter of checking in through an iPad kiosk. The future has arrived at Frank's joint! I arrived a little early, so I kicked back in one of the comfy lounge chairs in the waiting area and paged through a couple of the up-to-date magazines for reading pleasure. I made an appointment with Kiro (probably butchering his name) after a horrible experience at another shop. I always get a skin fade with a short faux hawk on top. The guy at the other shop completely ignored what I told him to do, and I was scared to try anyone else. I walked into Sharp Line Cuts and the shop was nice. The girl at the front with the pretty smile was very friendly. She checked me in and I only had to wait about 5 minutes before the barber called me to the chair. I showed him a picture of how I like my hair and he took it from there. He stopped half way to make sure that I was happy with the length. I told him I liked it a little shorter and he fixed it right away. He took his time and did quality work. The only thing I missed was the straight razor and hot lather finish at the end to edge up the lines. Other than that, for $26 it doesn't get any better. Being a female, finding a cool barber is kind of awkward. I liked this shop because there wasn't all the salon gossip and unnecessary talking. Terrible service! I drove all the way from Fairfax to here. I used to be able to call and set an appointment. This time I called, they changed. When you call it automatically lets you know it's sending you a txt message and that is how the appointment is booked. So I followed all the prompts and it gave me a time for 4pm April 15th. Only to get here and they're telling me I don't have an appointment. Even after showing my confirmation, they said I should come tomorrow. I told them I work and I can't make it tomorrow. So now I'm in the lobby with 3 boys being treated as a walk-in cause they say I didn't make an appointment. One guy kept telling me I should download their app, well that is not helping me now being that I'm already here. I went in for a line up for the first time. He gave me an explanation for what he planned to do. He was very personable and informative. The other gentlemen were cordial and personable as well. As a woman going to a barber shop, I didn't feel intimidated at any time during the hour I was there. Everyone was respectful with how they spoke around me and gave the best hospitality. I know them all by name now. My only concern is the expediency. I don't think it should have taken an hour for a line up. I expected 30 minutes at the most especially since there wasn't a wait time. This has been the only place I trust to cut my sons hair. My first experience was not the best, I was in a rush and let the 1st person available cut his hair. Big mistake-my son left with a patches in his hair and I was not happy. Needless to say, that barber is no longer there as far as I have seen. I went to Kathy, and she did a perfect job! As I watched my son getting his haircut-I looked around and noticed the great customer service, the barbers really engaged with their clients and overall relaxed and happy atmosphere. I have stopped going there effective today. While the barbers are fine, they have NEVER kept an appointment on time (normally they are anywhere from 15 - 45 minutes late) and today, despite the fact that they have my cell number and my email address, when I signed it (right on time) I waited 30 minutes ONLY TO BE TOLD that my barber wasn't in (I understand folks have emergencies, but not telling me via email, phone, or even when I walked in is in my opinion inexcusable).
