I had cane here many years ago to get my eye brows done but lived far and just today in a hurry to get my nails fixed walked in with 30 mins of their closing time but Johnny and his wife were beyond welcoming. I tried this business out because it was close. I made an appointment. When I got there no one was there. I waited and finally a van with people came And someone signaled me in. There were dirty towels strewn all over and bugs by the pedicure chairs. They came in and cleaned up and sat me in a chair. Finally someone came, gave me a color swatch and started on my pedicure. It went OK except after having left I noticed he missed half of the toe nails on three toes . Next off for a manicure and a gentleman who said he was the owner sat me in a chair next to a horribly messy corner and started on my nails. They were dipped nails. He chatted away and finished. The nails were OK so I paid. The price and tip were high I thought. No price chart. Made another manicure appointment and this time he was busy and his wife did them. She came in only minutes before 11 and I picked a color. He talked me into Acrylic nails. She just started doing them. I had picked a color. She never one time talked to me. He went to take over and grabbed another color she gave him. The wrong one. I was tired of being there with kids distracting them from myself and everyone else (and I like kids) so I said nothing. Paid without a tip and left. My nails looked like chips of ugly paint on my fingers and not even shaped how I wanted them. They were so ugly!! Went to Oasis and got beautiful nails, great service and the color I wanted. Earned her a $15 tip! Too many mail places to go to this dirty, poorly ran one. I have been to 5 different places here in HH. Each one I had been bad. I was hoping based on some of the reviews that this place would be better. Let's start with the actual place itself. It looks clean until you start to look around as you sit there waiting for them to begin. It's not clean. It's old, run down and the windows are filthy. Which might not be a big deal to down but it shows the lack of concern for the place. No pride in their establishment. Pedicure: For a deluxe at $35 there was nothing more than hot towels between that and a regular pedicure. No massage other than to rub the lotion in. BUT with that being said the technician I had took the time to cut, shape and really clean, buff and soften my feet. The nail polish was not cleaned off around the edges. Not a big deal next time I shower it will come off. There was no care taken when ladies come to these places to relax and walk out feeling wonderful. Manicure: In the past a manicure has, no matter where I've gone, except here in Tx; has always been warm water soap soak with beads or rocks. Then they trim your nail, push back the cuticles, trim the skin and shape the nail to end with a top buff. Once painted and done there was always a nice hand massage. This place soaked off my nail polish (dip polish) with my hands submerged in acetone!! The stuff melting off my nails was now gooey and stuck to my hands. How gross! The entire time I was having my feet done my hands were soaking. He was on phone instead of paying attention. Too long! Once I went over to the nail area, the technician did not clean off my nails, didn't clean around it, didn't push the cuticle back, no shaping or buffing. He cut them, too short (I had beautiful long nails when I walked in). Now they are short and stubby. I wanted a French since they were long and would look nice. But he had to take the white so far down my nail due to him leaving NO nail for paint that it looks bad!! They are now thin and bend back so easily. I'm furious!! None of my nails are the same length. They hurt. I will NOT be going back!! read more

Very expensive for a fill & gel polish. Nails were chipping & lifting at a few days. What a waste of money.

My husband and I had a really good experience at Cutie Nails (Harker Heights, Tx) months ago. However, we went back last month and it was NOT GOOD AT ALL! The husband was upset with his wife & carried it out into the business (unprofessional to say the least.) Our pedicures (by another male there) were the best thing out of that whole experience. Johnny polished my toes & gave me a full set of crap on my hands. Once we got home, I was able to really look at my hands and toes and OMG , I swear it looked as if he did them with his eyes closed. The nails were SUPER thick acrylics and when he polished them they looked like little chicklet candies! I went back early the next day to get them fixed and the color changed & he charged me $40! So basically I paid OVER $200 total for a pretty sh*tty service! ‍ Lesson learned for sure! I will NEVER EVER EVEEEEER return to this place and definitely will NOT recommend to anyone else. read more

Best experience getting a full set and pedicure. I came in around 12:30pm and was helped immediately. The uncle did my pedicure. I went with the basic pedicure with regular polish. He did great on it and the foot and leg massage was much needed. Johnny did my full set of with gel and I have to say it looks A M A Z I N G. She was rushing to get back to stuffing her face with her pizza she just bought and could not do a decent job. I guess I got what I deserved. In town visiting my family and the girls went for a pedicure and we were all very disappointed with this place! No debit/credit cards could be used. Cash, or an alternative method of payment. We all got a $45 pedicure that in the end was $60!! A $15 up charge for gel polish, which is ridiculous! NO where did the "menu" have that written. Also our choice said "deep tissue" massage. Not even close...if we had wanted effleurage and butterfly kisses then we would have asked for that. One of my nieces didn't even have callus removal. All 3 of us had our polish put on all the way over our cuticles and one had polish up on her skin. My toenail shape was completely changed and looks terrible. So just buyer beware. This is my second time at Cutie Nails. My first time was awful my acrylic nails were curved and ugly. I did not like at all. However I did enjoy my pedicure and decided to come back for a second time. This however was a big mistake. On Friday, October 1 my mom, sister and I went to pedicures. Upon ending our service it was time to pay just as the last time I came my sister and I were informed that we could pay using card or Zelle or another Payment app. We decided to use Zelle and used the information Anh gave us and checked before sending as well as looking at all the signs within the shop. Anh explained to us that we did not pay and that she did not recieve our money because she did not get a message or an email informing her that we had sent her a Zelle. We expressed to her that sometimes when we Zelle people it always does not show a message or an email but it will show in our bank account. We even showed her the transaction receipt which showed her information and the amount of money that was sent. She refused to accept this as proof and questioned our bank when we informed her that we banked with USAA she informed us that USAA does not directly deposit in minutes we said this may be true but it will deposit within 24 hours(in which it did). Still she refused to accept this and made us pay AGAIN. So we both paid 2x for a service that we only received once. Upon charging our cards she informed us that she would call us when the Zelle went through and that we could come back and bring our bank statements for a refund. I believe that is highly unacceptable. I should not have to come back and show a bank statement for proof when the business was the one that charged me twice. In addition one should not advertise Zelle as one of the payments when in actuality Zelle is not one that they actually accept this is false advertisement. It is now Sunday and the Zelle payment has been received by Friday, October 1 as of 5:51pm yet I have not been contacted. I do not recommend this place at all. The service was good but overpriced $48 for a pedicure not to mention they have their kids toys scattered all over the salon and one customer tripped on the toy and neither Johnny nor Ahn told the child to pick it up. read more

My aunt asked for nail designs and he told her to go on Pinterest to get a nail design. The guy rushed my pedicure as if there were other customers in there. Went for a mani pedi (regular paint). I felt ripped off because the pedi was to be $28 and mani is supposed to be $12. They charged $43 for both. Not sure if they thought I was some dumb girl who couldn't do math but I knew then I wouldn't be back. My toes are eh. The color I picked is bright and some of it is on cuticles. Not super noticeable but I'm meticulous so I notice it. What I was more annoyed about was the manicure. 1) the paint was so thick I knew it would never last. 2) they did it at the pedi chair so it wasn't precise at all (not because there were no chairs bc there were) 3) It chipped THE NEXT DAY. I get it, salons want to sell gel since it's more expensive. It doesn't work for my nails. It peels off in sheets on me. I wound up taking it off completely and painting them myself. Won't be back. My first experience in this salon wasn't great but I went back on the recommendation of two friends. The key is to go early in the morning when the owners are providing services. The salon is a little cramped and I found it weird that there were a bunch of family members of the owners piled on a sofa just watching everything going on in the salon. I like that the salon has several brands of gel polish that match the regular polish (not sure why more salons don't have this option). This way my fingernail gel color matches my toenail regular polish without have to "try" and match the color. My friend and I both went on a Tuesday about 10:30 for just simple manicures with no polish. There was an older woman "working there" who spoke no English. We told her what we wanted and she proceeded to give us manicures. She did mine first, she applied cuticle stuff to my cuticles and proceeded to hack at my hails. She cut part of the nail to the quick, leaving the other half of the nail. After she was finished and I paid her, I had to file all my nails to one even length. She did not soak either of our hands. My friend, even worse. She hacked her nails also and cut the sides of her nails, she had a couple of bloody nails. When the phone rang, this worker would hand either one of us the phone (remember she does not speak English) for us to answer. Never again. read more

I would like to start by saying the staff is friendly but sadly they are misleading in explaining their options. My daughter wanted a full set of acrylic nails with regular polish and the owner Johnny picked out the gel polish for her because it was more expensive. She had a regular polish already picked out but he came back with gel polish instead. He said you can't put regular polish on acrylic nails. I have been getting my nails done for many years and it is perfectly acceptable to get regular polish on acrylic nails. She felt as though it was her only option to get the gel polish. Sadly, I wasn't around to witness the conversation and my daughter felt mislead. She is a young lady and she saves her money to do nice things for herself from time to time.
