Had not been for mani/pedi in a while. Star Nails, formerly Moon Nails, did such a wonderful job. My feet looked more like a cows hooves but now they look great again. Heavenly foot and leg massage. They invested a lot of money and everything has been professionally renovated , all brand new equipment, even down to the towels Already made my next appointment for March. I had my acrylic nails removed and now it will take me a long while for my natural nails to regrow and be strong again. Still have some acrylic residue left in some of them but in March I will get manicure again too. read more

I went to star nails and spa to check out a new place and they did not disappoint. they were very friendly, had a fast check in process and started working on my nails right away (it wasn't busy). they seemed to have remodeled recently and it looks great! i asked for round squared dip powder nails and the girl did a great job. will be coming back. read more

My daughter stopped in without appointments I live in California ithad broke 2 nails. I did state I would do a mani and pedi if "2" people could work on me. One started my pedi, but I kept saying I needed someone to start my mani. I can't tell you how many times they kept saying " their coming." And they would start talking in their native language. As my pedi was almost done I finally said " they're not coming, just finish my fingernails " as they had soaked in remover over 30 min. The owner did complete my finger nails-streaked and rough edges! I just hate going into a salon and they say they can do something when really they just want the dollars. And 5 days later my gel manicure is lifting. Total waste of money. I'm going to my professional manicurist tomorrow. read more

I went here a couple days ago & the Navy went all the off!!! I'm in the military so I have to get my nails a certain way and she did it exactly the way I wanted. Katerina did my nails, she was nice, even though picking out my colors took awhile and she hinted at me taking awhile to choose was messing with her time, she still did a good job and even cleaned my nails so she gets the 4stars but what I don't like is I called to schedule an appointment was told a price, came in the price was 10$ more than while doing my nails the man got upset at the price she was charging so they added an extra 10$.in the end 55 for sns nails plus tip. I'd prefer welcome nails then because for the same price I got drinks and an arm massage and didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable. .. and so we're clear the initial price I was quoted was 30 for a fill. I originally went here Bc I had a ball to go to, It had good reviews. I called ahead asked if they could do a matte black & lace design coffin nail (I'll show pics) & pedicure, told them I was in a rush. I walked in & I had 2 ladies waiting. I was excited. I show the lady the pic, she says they'll do gel. I said ok. After all the woman stated multiple times she's done nails for 23 yrs. She asked if she could use White for the under coat. I assumed they didn't have gray. Nope she used white for the glitter she put on. My nails ended up being uneven, long, thin, high gloss w/ glitter & way overpriced for what I got. Nothing like what I asked for. Literally 2 days later one nail broke & they looked so bad I went to another salon to have them fixed. He had to take off all but maybe 2 nails Bc the were unsalvageable. I'd go here for the pedis but don't let them touch your nails. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I've been here twice and each time was worse than the last. They do ok with pedicures but DO NOT let them touch your nails. Overly excessive and aggressive with the cuticle cutting to the point where each time I've bled and they've had to use that blue styptic stuff and the older lady who did my gel today didn't make a single brush stroke that didn't require her cleaning something up with her trusty brush and alcohol. I'm sure I picked a crappy gel color but instead of telling me that she just kept trying to heap it on so what I got was a streaky mess that looks like I did it. At first I thought I had found my forever shop. I was wrong. I gave the place 2 stars because I love the pedicures 9 time out of 10. Lately though, the techs have not spoken much English at all so they don't do as asked. But the last few times it has been ridiculously down hill this recent time had angered me beyond belief. I asked them to remove my acrylics (I can't have them for school) I wanted a manicure with the same color that was on my toes. She attempted to remove my acrylics but didn't complete the job. She pulled at a hangnail and tore it off breaking skin and causing me to bleed. She then used the same polish that was on my toes, and after she painted my nails. She said "they're ugly let's do glitter" my nails were uneven and the polish was streaked. She then picked the glitter herself and added it without asking. Even after i asked her to paint the parts she missed she "fixed them" yet there's still parts she missed. HOW COULD THE SAME POLISH THAT WAS ON MY TOES PERFECTLY COME OUT SO HORRIBLY ON MY NAILS?? It's because she did not do them appropriately. I'll add pictures so you can see for yourself. I've also attached a picture from a previous time where the guy totally screwed my nails and sent me home as picture with an added topcoat. I'm far from pleased. STAY AWAY FROM MOON NAILS! EDITED TO ADD: I've added another picture of my nails to demonstrate that she did a second coat of glitter on my middle finger so the glitter is no longer opaque on that finger. The place is very clean and my nail tech uses packaged tools for my feet and not just dipping them into sanitizer. I like that the nail side and the pedicure side are separated. I was greeted in a timely fashion, asked if I wanted a beverage and if I wanted the massage chair turned on. The only downside is that my feet haven't been done in a while and my tech kept sighing. I stopped in for a gel manicure and was happy to have no wait, a very friendly nail tech, and a clean facility. That said, he murdered my cuticles with 4 of them bleeding and still sore 2 days later. The attention to detail just was not there. I left with rough edges I had to file when I got home and nail polish around my nails, on my finger tips, and somehow even on the bottom of my fingers. I'm not super picky about my manicures but that much pain should not be part of what is usually a relaxing process. read more

This place is big with nice chairs. They offer you a drink. My tech took her time and didn't rush through the massage. And the deluxe pedicure she used some type of lemon scrub that smells amazing!!! I was a loyal customer until today. I have getting my nails done by David every two week for over a year. Lately I started to notice, he didn't have much conversation and he wasn't as friendly as he use to be. I just figured he was having a bad day or was having some personal things going on. We all have bad days. Two weeks ago, I went in and David started my nails (no conversation mind you), but as soon as this lady comes in, he started talking to her and totally dismissed me as if i were not in his chair. I was irritated at first, but kept calm and focused. He then told me to wash my hands and I did but as soon as I finished, I turned to return to my seat and the lady he was smiling and talking to was now in the seat. He told me Moon will do your color and my purse was move to her chair. At this point I was furious! I felt totally disrespected and dismissed and on top of all that, she messed up the nail color and had to redo it. I was upset I paid and left. I prayed about it and decided to let it go and try again. So today i returned (May 17, 2018), and as soon as I went it, I was treated as if they had never seen me before. Remember i have been coming here for over a year, every 2 weeks getting my nails done by David without any appointment. All of a sudden, i was ask if I had an appointment because if not, any one could do my nails. I couldn't believe this! If making a appointment was the issue I would gladly have done so if I were told I needed to. But not ONCE was i ever told to do so. Now this been said, I left and I will never ever spend another dime there. And I will make sure all of my friends and family know how this place treats their loyal customers. read more

Multiple times I've been here, I've waited for over an hour when they were not even that busy, they just appear to show preference to some customers than others .This place has TERRIBLE customer service. Was waiting here with a friend for over an hour and assured that we'll be next, then it seemed that a regular customer walked in the door asking " do you have any time now?", the owner assured her they did -- did not mention to her that she had to sign in like every one else. I only gave this place 4 stars because I only go to have my eyebrows done. However I love the way this Spa is set up. It is very nice and clean and the staff is nice. The older lady, Erica, is very nice and not pushy. I also liked that even though they are busy at times I don't have to wait long to get my eyebrows done.
