Our entire experience with Cut Rate went well. We were greeted and offered help upon entering the store. Jessica helped us to pick out our vinyl plank flooring, explaining the differences between all of our options. We also picked out a carpet. Both of our choices were in stock, which meant we didn't have to wait for them to order and receive it. We placed our order on a Wednesday. They started the project the following Monday. We've had Cut Rate do a few tile jobs in our home over the past 5 years. We are very pleased and always return to them when a new project arises. Their prices are already reasonable, but they will also match online competitor pricing if you find a similar product cheaper. The work is always done correctly and in a timely manner. All the girls there are sweet and know me by name, even though it's been months between visits (yes, I have had a lot of home improvements projects)... how often do you get that in a big box store?? Where do I begin with this wonderful family owned business? I am quite the picky customer, pretty indecisive as well. When we embarked on redoing our hardwood floors back in 2018, Jena and Jason were so helpful. Jason came out and measured on several occasions and Jena was so patient with me in the showroom. After months of back and forth on my end, taking multiple samples home, and trips back to the store with about every question imaginable, I selected a hardwood and carpet. Jena and Jason did not once pressure me. They both, and their staff were so helpful and happy to answer any and all of my questions. Their quote was very competitive and I appreciated the explanation of all prices included in the quote. The job was done quickly and the gentlemen who installed the flooring were very kind and respectful. They were so thorough they went as far as to ensure I liked every particular board that was laid. The customer service did not stop after install. Jena checked in several times after install to ensure we were happy and satisfied. Jena went the extra mile when I ended up not loving the carpet that I selected originally. She did not rest until I was happy. We were so happy with the customer service, price point and product that we are now using Cut Rate Carpet to install flooring in our new home. As long as we live in Brazoria County, Jena and Jason at Cut Rate Carpet will be who we go to for flooring. We ordered an in stock carpet from cut rate to have installed. The day before installation, we received a phone call stating that the shipment of carpet had not come in. Jenna was so apologetic. She suggested us getting another carpet (at a more expensive rate and them covering the cost). We opted to just wait for the carpet to come in-another 3 days. Again, the day before installation was to take place we got another call from Jenna stating that yet again, the carpet shipment did not arrive. Again, she was apologetic and we could tell that she was genuinely sorry. We ended up selecting a different carpet that the store had in stock that was significantly higher in cost and still paying the same rate. We were frustrated at first, but things happen beyond our control and we know that. We thought about going somewhere else, but stayed with cut rate because of the wonderful customer service we received from them. read more
