Called Quality and a real live human answered... And he was an actual plumber named Terry, actually fixing something for someone (at 6:30 PM). Took my info and said they'd get here tomorrow, and try to get here in the morning. The next day I was told I'm #8 on the list and they should get here that day. The jobs were more involved than expected and I got bumped to Friday AM (by then it became clear that this was a Galveston- wide calamity, and the demand for plumbers was insane!). My plumber called mid-morning to say he was enroute, and took care of two split outdoor pipes in a couple of hours. He even reattached the bird netting attached under the deck! They answered, they showed up, they fixed everything... For a new client, in the midst of a disaster. Quality will be my plumber from here on out!

This wasn't mentioned and caused delays. Be home during the install if possible--it's helpful to see how things are done and learn yard care tips. Ask for a brush-up service around 9-12 months after install. (Ours is still new, but we'll update once that happens.) Regret: We didn't upgrade to Cool Turf. It heats up just like the weather--something to consider if you live in a hot climate. Our Experience: We chose Big Tex Turf because they matched key items from another quote, had great reviews, and guaranteed completion before a big home event. We paid in full, so can't speak to financing. Our sales rep (Zach) started strong, but was hard to reach after booking. When weather delayed our install and left a large sand pile in the street (a safety and HOA issue), we couldn't get a hold of him--even the install team had trouble. I had to step in and offer a temporary tarp/cone solution myself. Tip: Texting a team member is more effective than calling. Calls go to the main office. Despite the sales rep gap, the installation team was excellent. They were efficient, professional, and finished the job in one day. Cleanup was great, and they came back as early as 7 AM to resolve post-install questions. 2-Year Follow-Up (as of 5/14/2025): Almost two years later, customer service remains solid. We've had a few normal turf issues and they've addressed every one quickly. The lawn still looks great--we're overall very happy. JC Roofing replaced my roof this past summer. The crew did an excellent job, as far as I can tell. But when the boss came to collect the second half of my payment, I just happened to discover that there was an entire piece of siding missing from my house - located just between the roof line and front porch overhang. Apparently, the roofers weren't even going to tell me about it! When the boss came for my check, I pointed it out. His first excuse was that it was a paint-related issue - which they are not responsible for fixing. When I dismissed that, he then made the excuse that the crew must've removed whatever material was there so that they could finish the roof. I argued that, if that was the case, then the crew should have left that material/property there instead of discard it! What the roofers left behind is a completely exposed part of my house because they removed and discarded a piece of siding. My house now looks horrible to anyone who notices it from outside. I should have withheld the payment until they fixed it, but I naively trusted the boss when he promised that he'd have someone come out and look at it. So, I made the final payment. Of course, I never heard back from them. Now, I am left with this missing siding that exposes my house. I am unable to add a replacement siding or paint over what's exposed because I don't have a tall enough ladder. I don't want to have to pay $400 for a ladder just for this! I called them back, asking if they would at least loan me a ladder so that I can fix it myself. They agreed, promising to come the next day. They never showed up and didn't even bother calling me to tell me not to wait around! When I called and asked why they never showed up, they said they could not lend their ladder because their insurance policy forbids it. This is inexcusable poor corporate behavior - whatever happened to customer service? They still argue that this was a "paint-related issue" which in customer contracts it clearly states is not their responsibility. However, this was NOT a paint issue - this was the removal and disposable of personal property. They should've never discarded property off my house in the first place; then, hid it from me; then ultimately refused to help repair what they did. I paid nearly $10,000 for the roof - the least they could have done is repair their own damages or at least helped me be able to repair what they've done. I still don't know when I will ever get around to repairing the damage they left behind. My advice to other customers: You can hire this company for doing the bare minimum - building a decent roof. But do not expect them to go beyond that bare minimum - not even when it includes just a basic fix for a mistake they made themselves.

We had a leak and fortunately for…read moreus, they were able to postpone another job that had no leaks so that our roof could be installed quickly, thus preventing more leaking. They replaced all the flashing and all shingles. What a BEAUTIFUL JOB! Though our roof was only 10 years old, the previous roofer not only used the wrong nails which were backing out, but also left gaps in the flashing, all of which were creating repeated leaks during the past 3 years. In addition to using the right nails, JC Roofers hand nailed each shingle, instead of using a nail gun. And they did a great job cleaning up when finished. They also hauled off stored left over shingles from the previous roofing job, as well as left some extra shingles in the event that I need them in the future.
