I have been employing Chris's services for 15 years, and am *always* more than pleased with his work. The first job he performed for me was on my 1972 Dodge: he replaced the headlamp switch and its connector. Absolutely perfect! Now I have a 2004 Crown Victoria 'P71' ("The Outlaw", as I call it) which is me daily driver. Firstly, Chris repaired the brake light switch (a common malady with the P71's). The amount of tedious work involved was executed so neatly that I can't tell that any work was done! Certainly, I had 'before' and 'after' images to refer to (e.g., visual reference), so I know that he'd repaired the wiring. Again, absolutely perfect! Now, as of this date (31.07.2022), Chris performed another miracle on me Crown Vic: he replaced the A/C compressor, Accumulator ("Received-Drier" on some models), Orifice Tube (think: 'filtre'); flushed the climate control system; got the dash vents to work (no small feat on these cars!); and finally vacuumed (i.e., ran air through the system to eliminate any moisture and remaining contaminates) the system. The Honda Dealer had quoted me $3,700 to change out the entire engine wiring harness. I took my Genesis to Chris for a second opinion after the dealership told me that my head unit was bad which would cost me $3400. Chris told me that was not the case That in fact it was simply a fuse for the amp. He fixed it for $90, which was just the diagnosis fee. He is very efficient and honest. Absolutely the worst customer service EVER! Took 2 weeks to call me, I called daily to check in the car no answer! Finally got a hold of him and he cussed me out! This guy is an absolute joke, doesn't care about customers! Maybe he has some personal issues or something but come on! I showed up twice he was closed! Ok I have never been there, but what AIl just witnessed today I am shocked by the owner Chris's behavior towards a customer. I was with a friend who needed a copy of an invoice that he has not supplied her with and he asked her are you the one who gave me a bad review on Yelp and she said yes and he told her F$#! You!! For one thing I can't believe he said that to a lady and next he is a business owner and told this to his customer instead of rectifying the situation. I would never go here and would not recommend. He would not give her a copy of the invoice. There will also two guys in the parking lot who witnesses this and one said he is always like that. In reply to his long response it still does not excuse your foul language towards a women and a customer. Forget the bad reviews that you have read about the owner of Custom Wire Works. Chris is a good dude and did a great job with my car. He was referred by another shop and did not disappoint. He worked diligently to find a power drain in my car that even the BMW dealership couldn't find. When I picked the car up he took the time to show me what he had done and how the drain was gone. Thanks to Chris at Custom Wire Works! He was professional and friendly and really wanted to make sure I was happy with the service I received. He took the time to diagnose, explain the problem (low power to ignition switch) to me, and break down the cost. He was considerate of my time and work schedule, and offered to stay late to finish my car if I needed it for work the next day. It is always painful to spend money on car repairs but I really feel like his price was fair if not straight up generous given the amount of time and effort that was put into fixing my car. Chris was great when he worked on my car, but that changed when he took posession of my father-in-law's car. He had it for over 2 weeks..was told it had a vaccuum leak when it was dropped off and informed that a smoke test had been performed with no concrete diagnosis. I would call to check up and get no reply. Then he said he needed more gas to do some test (left it with 1/4 tank) so brought him $20 to put in it. No update for a week ... then gets upset when my father-in-law wants his car back. Said we were rude and "harrassed" him by calling for updates. He was using the car as his own!! There were his tools in the back seat when the car was getting reclaimed!! Stop blaming others when you do not call people back and have their cars for weeks on end!! Very unethical!! read more

Just called this business asking if I could make appointment to drop my car off so that he could look at it same day. I was told that's not the way it works you leave the vehicle and I will take a look at it when I can get to it. I then asked you mean I could drop it off and leave it there for several days before you look at it, and the answer was yes. While I understand that this may be his policy it was the way the message was delivered with a very rude arrogance . I am now subject to believe some of the reviews I have read below that this Business owner is a rude individual. I am so happy, finally! I've taken my car all over town and spent money at three different garages before finally finding someone that could fix her. Everyone has said they could fix the problem and yet when it comes down to it, I just keep getting a list of parts and services that I supposedly "need" and the problem remains. This is in response to Chris comments. Now I really know that this guy has really lost it. not only is he crazy but he is a liar. I never refused to have him look at my vehicle. I had called Chris because my boyfriend had called me and told me to call Chris since he was working. He didn't tell me exactly what they talked about just to me to call to figure how we would work this out. I called Chris and did ask him about the warranty on computer he installed. He all of a sudden was on the defensive saying he had already had told my boyfriend twice what he could do. I said that's fine and was starting to ask him a question but Chris kept talking over me and wouldn't let me finish. He was the one who raised his voice and then insulted me. I finally had to tell him look calm down all I was trying to tell him was if he could work with us since our vehicle was already at another shop for another reason and they were the ones who found the problem with computer. By the way the jeep dealership is where the car is and they are trying to get a hold of Chris to resolve this but he is not cooperating. The dealership is who referred me to this guy. My friend also witnessed what type of person Chris is. I went yesterday to get a copy of my Invoice since the dealership was asking for it i dont think i got an original one and thats when he told me me" f$#k you!!! You wrote a bad review on yelp about Me" I was still trying to call yesterday to find out if he could look at my car even after he cursed me out cause I guess I'm desperate to get this fixed. If you have never blurted out "and that's why I love you" to your mechanic, then you have not been here. But when you come to see for yourself, bring a camera because you're about to see an Endangered Species... An honest mechanic. This mechanic shop is just a guy named Chris that does fantastic wiring and electrical work on automobiles. Over the years with my 2002 ford mustang (which is apparently wired like Christmas lights pulled out of storage for the first time in years) has had so many electrical problems. Alternators, wiring issues within the steering column, anti-theft issues, i once shorted every light in the running system when trying to hook up a tow hitch (yes i put a tow hitch on my mustang). But i bring it to Chris and am just shocked when he quotes me the repair cost. I suppose i am so used to being overcharged by regular mechanics. this guy is cheap, this guy isn't particularly fast but hes certainly trustworthy and if you are willing to leave your car with him a few days, i bet when he calls you with a price you are going to be shocked with how inexpensive the repair costs for the difficulty and amount of time he puts into it. i really can't recommend this guy enough, I drive from Riverside to use him, if you are anywhere between Temecula and here, and your car has something even slightly electrical wrong with it, use Chris. Our regular mechanic referred us to Custom Wire Works when they determined the problem with our daughter's convertible top to be an electrical issue. Chris gave us an estimate and said that if he didn't think he could fix the problem, he wouldn't even charge us the diagnostic fee. Luckily for us, he decided to take the job. He gave us a fair price for the repair and guaranteed the problem to be fixed.
