Terribly expensive!!! Asked for professional installation of outlet for TV and COAX. They took way too long and did NOT move the electrical outlet. Rather just gave us an extension cord that looked horrible. I purchased longer cord a used cable guide to keep from dangling on the wall. I've used these guys in the past and had decent results. Recently downsized from a full audiophile system to Sonos Arc and Sonos sub with new flatscreen tv. Called Custom Tv & Stereo to set an appointment to ensure proper install and discreet wiring. Spoke to the installer who told me he would check the schedule and call me back; but he was fairly certain he could get to my install, Friday 1/19. He said he would call me to confirm. The guy never called me back. I prepped everything expecting him to call Friday. Removed flat screen, pulled all speakers, amps, etc, believing he probably just forgot to message me back. Friday arrives and still no call/ text. In frustration I decided to get ahead of the work and hung the new flatscreen solo. 8pm Friday night I text the guy and inquired about an appointment. He apologized and said he thought he could get to me that day but his crew ran into some complications at another job. I'm a business man and know things happen but a phone call would have been nice and professional. I can't run my business this way. I wouldn't be in business long lol. I'm now stuck attempting to find someone to finish this up on a Saturday before flying out for work on Monday. Thanks man. You really screwed me read more

A special shout out to Gil who spent an hour on the phone with us on a Saturday to help us through some unusual issues with our tv and receiver. He has tremendous patience and worked it all out. These guys are great. We have used there services for about 15 years now. From setting up an entire surround sound system with HD tV when the technology was new to installing speakers in back yard and simple home visits to reprogramming remote controls. We employed Custom TV & Stereo 20 years ago to install a whole-house stereo and movie theatre in our home. They were outstanding. The technology has changed substantially and it was time for upgrading. We checked around and got other bids. One bid was double that of Custom TV & Stereo...double! They were charging for drop clothes, screws and installing things we didn't even need. Went to Craig. He gave us options. We upgraded to 4K SXRD Home Cinema Sony Project, Marantz Flagship Receiver-11 channel, Panasonic Flagship 4K Ultra HD Blue Ray, Universal remote...and we were good to go. They installed everything perfectly, ran us through the operation and adjusted our sound system. It is outstanding. We upgraded Xfinity 4k box and Netflix Premium (4K). We were having difficulty with darkness prior to the upgrade due to the new technology being used. The upgrade is perfect...we can see every blade of grass. I have used Custom TV & Stereo on two occasions. The first instance was in my back yard in which they connected a television and stereo. They use quality equipment and whether I'm listening to music, watching the UFC or other sporting events the entire back yard can enjoy it. The second instance was a much more complex job. An entire room had to be renovated before they could start. They recommended a first class contractor that was clean, diligent and a great craftsman. An 85" television had to be installed with surround sound. Security camera wire, cables for a very active server and a host of other internet wires had to be moved to an entirely different location all while 4 people were working in a real estate office next door and they did so seamlessly. The cables used to occupy a five foot area and they organized them into a one foot area in a different location. The learning curve on the new equipment which involved 5G and smart phone controls for all of the equipment required a few visits which they had no problem doing. They also took calls on a Saturday night. There is no one you should contact in Stanislaus County for a Home Entertainment system than Custom TV and Stereo and you will be sure you will receive top notch work by honest and wholesome gentlemen. read more
