Negative stars I had read the reviews for k&k and had several PC's monitors and keyboards . I checked the hours on their website and yelp and headed out from Tracy driving almost an hour in the rain and wind arriving just before 3:30 ( their posted closing is 4 pm). No one was there . I called and was told that they had went home at 2:30 because no one had come in... I told her I had driven an hour from Tracy , her answer was that I should have called first , really didn't care that they had inconvenienced me ... I didn't see anywhere that I needed to make a reservation to drop off .... wondering how people like this stay in business read more

Super Fast! Great Service! I had 5 TVs to Recycle to E-Waste. Called K&K.. they said to Bring the TVs on down.. Took over the TVs to their shop. They were super fast, filled out some paperwork, and they unloaded all the TVs.. Super Fast. Super Friendly.. will definitely use them again if I have any e-waste. read more

They could have better signs on where to park, there are several business in the area and it wasn't clear. So I parked near the front and walked all the way towards the back with a medium sized printer in my arms to recycle. A nice young man came out of the building to meet me and took it from me. I did not have to pay anything to get it recycled. read more

Nice and helpful people. It was an easy in and out. Thank you for having this service open and available to the public. I could be a bit difficult to locate since the Oakdale Road and Sylvan Road area has a lot of traffic. Long Time Residents of the area that have gone to Budget Tire for years:...... K & K is located in their old shed in the back of that business lot. The newer location for Budget Tire is next door, but don't use their driveway, use the one after theirs to take you back to the lot next door. Hopefully this will help someone. read more

So, I've used K&K before. I liked them because they were free, and friendly. HOWEVER, I went today to recycle a printer and some other things. Now (within the past 2 weeks) they decided to start charging for plastic waste. Only $5 for printer sized things, which is not that bad, a bit irksome because it's not advertised anywhere (Google listing or on their website); BUT what really burned my bum was that it's cash only! I was doing this for a business and don't carry petty cash (if it was advertised, I might have been prepared). So, instead I'm turned away with a "sorry (not sorry)" from owner's son. Don't get me wrong, the person helping me nice and respectful and clearly was tied to policy, but his good attitude didn't do much to recover a wasted hour of my day. So, they get 2 stars. 1 for actually recycling electronic waste, 1 for friendly service. They lost a star for being hard to find, and 2 stars for not advertising their payment practices. read more

Been searching for a free e-waste place and finally found one that takes microwave's. Some of them don't take them, and alot of the places charge you. This one is free. So people out there if you have any e-waste take it to K & K. They will take it off your hands. read more

I went here for the first time. It wais fairly easy. HASSLE: Almost no hassle, but I had to give my contact information and sign something because I was dropping off a CRT monitor. When we drove up, we could see a warehouse full of electronics (we didn't see an office to check in), and when we poked our head in, someone came out to help us unload and make sure everything we had was acceptable. FEES: Since another review mentioned a fee, I asked about it and was told that for the moment (at least) they are paying a high plastics fee, so there IS a fee to recycle printers ($5 for small, up to $25 for larger printers). I took in a VCR, boom box, a computer tower, an old modem and a CRT monitor and didn't have to pay anything. LOCATION: The space is behind other businesses, and the entrance is a bit hidden and narrow. If you accidentally drive down the wrong "alley," you may have some issue backing out. The signage is pretty good though, so if you have time to study the signs, it should be easy to find. If you're on Oakdale Road driving toward Sylvan, the entrance is on your right, after Post Office Road, and immediately after the telephone pole. To exit, you'd continue to the left and exit back onto Oakdale road under the billboard. read more
