Fantastic! I have been bringing my cans and plastic bottles for recycling here for years. They always offer a great rate and accept a variety of different plastics, aluminum, and glass. Even on busy weekends, they always have plenty of bins available to use for sorting. They are constantly washed down and feel clean. The wait is never too long - they have us in and out super quick. The business has definitely grown recently as I have noticed they have more workers now. There is ample parking too. I would also add that the owner of this place is fantastic. He has such a genuine spark that is so refreshing to see. Even though I come back every few months, he will remember what we chatted about the last time like a friend. A great guy with a great business! Will definitely be back! read more

I tried this place for first time yesterday (Saturday) and will say I went on the wrong day at the wrong time because it was crowded and took a while. However, multiple people there, said it was the best place for recycling in the area. I concur...the husband and wife team had it down to a science, kept the line moving and were extremely friendly. I will be back...just not during the busiest time of day. read more

I live in Modesto and this is for me like a 15 to 20 min drive, but I had been coming here for about 7+ years now because they pay plastic, aluminum, and glass at a good price. It's own by a very nice couple, young too. They're very welcoming and clean how they maintain their business very organized. I recommend you come bring your recycling here. Also before I forget, they do not take or recycle copper, but if you ask them, they'll guide you and I think the brother of the owner has his own recycling place somewhere in Modesto where they do buy it from you. Check them out and trust me, you won't regret taking your recycling stuff here. read more

The owners are very kind and helpful! What I love most is that it's super convenient since it's close to home and they accept almost all types of recycling.. not major bucks paid but better than nothing! You do have to do your own sorting which isn't that bad if you sort it at home and bring it ready to cash in! read more

Went to this recycling location for the first time after reading the yelp reviews. I can honestly say this is a good place to bring your recycling to. Usually this is my favorite place to recycle. Today is Saturday and these guys are not the people I'm used to. I arrived about 3:55 and they said they were closed. I really meant to get here earlier but my truck needed to be jump started which took some time. It just seemed rude to me that I wasted my time and gas money coming here because they said they're closed. I told the guy it wasn't 4pm and he said it was after 4 already. I told him no its not. It seemed like the truck parked sideways blocking the place and these guys were busy talking and I interrupted them... read more

Used to take my recycles downtown before I found this place. Super easy to get in and out!

We had a lot of plastic water bottles and a 32 gal can of smashed aluminum cans. This place is not far from where we live so we went there. They were so busy but the line moved quickly and the three employees were working so hard and fast and still were friendly. I will definitely be going there from now on. read more

For years I took my CRV aluminum cans and plastic bottles to Modesto Junk. Several months ago they discontinued accepting CRV and their explanation was because of the virus. I waited and waited until a week ago I read on their website that they had decertified the business from the CA requirement so they were no longer obligated to take them. I searched and found GO Green close to my home and wrote them for pricing information. I received an immediate response with detailed information. Fantastic! My son has now taken two loads to them and his experience has been very pleasant. We have more to go and I will finally be able to clean out my own junk yard. Many Thanks to Go Green for providing a much needed service to the Modesto area and offering great service to boot. read more

Great customer service. Very quick. Much better than Modesto junk. Great prices for cans and bottles

There are better places to take your recycling whether you do it for the extra cash, or simply just to recycle recyclables. For starters there is only one guy here by himself, it says open from 9-5 but if you come when he is on lunch, well your out of luck unless you want to wait 10 min to an hour (I don't know, I didn't wait) Secondly it says open to 5 but if you come at 4:45 or even worse 4:55, even if all sorted and it would take 3 min, he may already have left and if he hasn't he won't take your stuff. I have gone 3 times during their stated hours of operation and not gotten service. Lastly I don't know if it's intentional or just their rate but you will get less money, I got 9 bucks here one time and the next time I went somewhere else and got 17 with almost exact same amount, give or take a pound. I will not be going here again even though it's the closest place to me, there is simply no reason to. read more

First time going to a recycle center! The experience was great! The owner/attendant was very friendly. Facility was clean and organized. We had 6 to 8 months of recycled items from my husband's love for beer. It was in and out, under 5 min. We made $51! Woohoo! Thank you! read more

Go Green Recycling Salida - Recycling Center Near Me - Salida, California

Great place to take in your bottles and cans. There are trash bins piled up for you to pour your recyclables into and then you just drag the bins over to someone at the scale so they can be weighed. A printout giving you your price is then handed to you and you move to the tiny window to collect your cash. The staff are not over-friendly, but they are not jerks either. Just doing their job in this ridiculous heat. My only advice is to call ahead of time to see when they are taking lunch. Almost every time I have gone to drop off recycling, they have been closed for lunch or a break...even though it's business hours and it's always at different times of the day. It's usually for a half hour at most though. I think they have to take breaks whenever they can (when it slows down), so the times vary. read more
