AMAZING service! Ryan is INCREDIBLE--fast, fair, friendly! Ryan solved my unique issue so quickly and was so patient with me. He was professional, fair and knowledgeable. If you are looking for the BEST locksmith in OC, call Ryan immediately. (I asked if I could Yelp him, and he actually said, "I don't think I even have Yelp." Well, you do, Ryan...and your customers love you!) I had used Ryan once several years ago, but "locksmithing" needs don't tend to come up too often. Before reaching out to Ryan this time, I called two local locksmiths--one wanted me to sign a waiver re: damage that might happen (before they would even come out) and the other never answered the phone. Then, I remembered Ryan and am SO GLAD that I did! He was here the next day (even called to see if he could arrive 2 hours before his scheduled appt) and was so professional. He solved my problem and then some! read more

Mr. Warren was great. He was professional, punctual and provided expert service. His level of expertise in comparison to the locksmith that came the day before and could not provide a key to the motorcycle is unmatched. read more

I didn't even know Custom Lock & Key was on Yelp! I wasn't asked to write this review but he deserves one. As a Realtor, I use many vendors for a variety of services. I am very particular about who I use. Over time you discover, some are good just for a time. Ryan of Custom Lock & Key is great every time and he comes from a family of skilled locksmiths! I've used Ryan to pick, key, rekey and replace locks on hundreds of properties in OC ever since I first used him in 2008. In the last 13 years Ryan has been my primary, go-to guy for any locksmith services. In fact the only time I've used someone else if there was a scheduling issue which is very rare. I refer him out to my clients, friends and family. Seriously, you don't need to call anyone else. He's a man with skill and integrity. You don't need to worry about being over-charged or ripped off. Ryan to be among the nicest, professional and without a doubt the most reasonably priced mobile locksmith in OC. Thank you for many years of great service! read more

This review is long overdue. Ryan is always in contact immediately, gets the job done, makes contact with the tenants directly to schedule, works at a reasonable price, and goes above and beyond! E-invoices, clean quick work. Couldn't ask for more in a vendor! read more

Mark is awesome. Always quick and gets us exactly what our business needs in a timely manner. Thanks! Highly recommend.

Mark was exceptionally professional the entire time I had contact with him! I called him around 7:30 am because I was unable to get into my garage due to closing the door from the inside without having the portable opener with me. He offered to come over as his second appointment, but I opted for a later appointment. He was on time and checked out the situation before jumping right in and telling me to change everything (as most do). He made me an key for my emergency release lock, which I did not have before and changed the electronic lock with two new keys. Price was under $100 for new lock, three keys and his service call. Would definitely use him again in the future for any lock/ key needs I may need and I would recommend him to anyone who has the need for a professional, good priced, timely locksmith. :) read more

I am a business owner and have used Custom several times for keys etc but yesterday was the first time I needed a major job. I recently moved suites and did an expansion and remodel. Everything in my clinic is gorgeous and new except the main door. I think the door knob and closer mechanism are circe 1965. I called them yesterday about 10:30 am, Mark was at my business by 2:30 and had installed a brand new door knob, lock and closer (now no more people thinking the door is locked when it's not and it doesn't slam shut ) Mark was quick, cleaned up after his mess to the last crumb and I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable charge at the end. I could not be HAPPIER!!! Thanks Mark for your PROMT service! read more

I was referred by a FOB company, and they did not disappoint. I worked with Mark and he was fast, personal and gave me his best price which was very reasonable. We had a Schlage Keyless entry lock put on our office door and he got it right (not an easy lock by the way). He was thorough and cleaned up his mess when done. It was such a pleasure doing business with them from A to Z, I would HIGHLY recommend them! Courtney~ Corporate Resource Analyst MAAS Companies Newport Beach read more

I contracted Ryan Eley (Custom Lock and Key) to change locks in Company office and shop. I was extremely impressed with the professional manner that Ryan completed the job at a very reasonable rate. Ryan even went the extra mile and fixed a door in the shop that was skewed and very difficult to close. He took the initiative to realign the door at no additional cost. It was refreshing to deal with someone who was good at his profession and took pride in doing a good job. I highly recommend Ryan and will continue to use him both personally in my home and in my business. read more

I'm giving Custom Lock and Key the highest rating. Service & professionalism goes above and beyond. Mark came out and went through my entire home with me. I called Custom Lock and Key when my mailbox key would not work. Mark suggested I try using WD-40 which did not work. We agreed on a time and when he arrived, looked at the mailbox decided it was the key and not the lock. I retrieved my extra keys and they worked perfectly so the lock didn't need to be replaced. I highly recommend Mark and Custom Lock and Key and will definitely use his services again, when needed. Mark was very professional and kind. read more
