*** By appointment only *** I initially came here on Sunday which I later realized the office door was locked. Luckily a gentleman named Sherwin was preparing his van and he was able to diagnose the issue on the spot. [Issue]: My car remote control was not working and somehow my car's windows kept rolling down. [Dianoise]: Sherwin said the issue was due to bad remote signal and not a battery issue. To fix the issue, he will need to reprogram my key. I told him that I can't do it right now so he removed the battery to prevent my car windows from automatically rolling down. He even showed me a trick on how to manually opening/closing windows with the physical key by (1) unlock the driver's door with the key and (2) within 10 seconds of returning the key to the central position turn the key in the unlock direction and hold it there. He didn't ask for any service fee but I still tipped the man. [Visit]: Couple days later I called the office number and asked for Sherwin. He eventually called back and we scheduled an appointment at my place. He stopped by my place with his van and was able to reprogram my key in approximately 15 minutes. The cost was $80 for one key and my remote key was working again. [Conclusion]: Sherwin is the man - amazing service and very friendly person to talk to. read more

I recently got a new to me ride that only came with 1 key fob, but getting it made at the dealer was $$$$. The most cost effective solution would be to procure aftermarket keys and program them myself. I still needed a locksmith to cut the blades. I searched around and other places were more expensive, or they would refuse to cut customer supplied keys. By far, this place has the most reasonable prices to get the key blank cut. read more

Instead of having me be charged for a whole new key for around $300, he suggested I speak with a dealership, will do tomorrow since it is Sunday. I cannot express how much we loved the service of Mike at Advanced Lock and Key. We were stressed, our stolen truck was found, we had no keys for it, but could get into the truck with a key pad. We called a "local family owned" locksmith first off, thinking that would be best. WRONG. The guy did a bait and switch, telling us we had to buy they keys that only opened the car. Threatened to call the police on us. Finally got rid of him and decided to call AAA to get some help. BEST IDEA. AAA sent out Mike from Advanced Lock & Key. Mike called us first and when I told him we had been sitting by our truck for 2.5 hours, he said he would get to us as fast as he could. I also told him of the problem with the other locksmith. Mike assured us that if we had the correct documentation, he would make us a key that starts the truck. He also mentioned there would be no fee if he couldn't start the truck and he would initiate a tow for us through AAA. Mike worked diligently to make a key and refine it for the truck. Due to some issues with my key fob, I first went to the dealership to get a rough estimate and of course as expected would be costly. I was referred here to Advanced Lock & Key. I spoke with an employee Mike, explained my situation with him, and he really helped me out. He was kind and patient to explain to me what the issue was and replaced both my key fobs for a very reasonable price. How did this business even get good reviews?! I usually write good reviews but this service was RIDICULOUS. Number one: Not qualified. He does only car doors but took the job anyways when we took a foto and explained it was a house (garage) door. Number 2: Came with a nasty attitude. Misunderstood the location directions and raised his voice within 1 minute and refused service. Argued with me about the location when I'm the one that lives here and know the streets. Number 3: When he finally found the location, he was taking calls while servicing and left without opening a simple door (refer to #1). Wasted 1.5hrs of our time. Must call a real locksmith now and start over thanks to this business's unprofessionalism. Go somewhere else if you want the job done!!
