I recently had a 3 car garage coated with their coating system. I was skeptical as it was not an Epoxy system, however myself and everyone that has come over has been thoroughly impressed with it. The install was great. The owner came and gave me a quote and he was nice enough to arrange a weekend install from his installer Kyle. I was working 12 hour shifts all weekend so my wife dealt with everything. Kyle was professional and communicated throughout the process. The only negative i can say is that the receptionist was difficult. I tried calling at least three times to get information as well as waited for a call back that never happened. The management are unprofessional and very unorganized. I met with the owner Gary who does a lot of sales pitch and was very friendly on our first and only visit, but once you sign the contract, you never see him again not to mention that every measurement he took was wrong and not accurate. I have no idea what he was measuring for 3 hours and eventually I had to do the drawing for him, but still on the delivery date they brought a wrong size cabinets and shelving and also missing brackets. I left few massages and emails for Gary, but he never called and just bunch of text after text with apologies and excuses. finally, he put me in contact with warehouse manager person name James who is also partial owner and things even got worst. James was a major jerk and pain in the ass and at one point he had the nerve to ask me to keep the wrong shelves. Are you kidding me? I spend over twenty thousand dollars, and he is offering me a 12 inch shelf instead of 21 inch originally contracted. it took 3 days to just do the closets with parts missing , wrong shelves, and they left nails , screws , and cut metal debris all over my carpet and bedrooms. Broke the glides and never replace it and didnt even install the cabinet doors. on the 3rd day their two installers told me that they are quitting their job at custom garages and mentioned they are tiered of all the bullshit from management and specially James. a week later two new installers came in and did the garage cabinets and seems like they did know what they were doing and finally this nightmare project was done. I would strongly recommend staying away from this company. read more

I've called Custom Garages twice to find out more information about customizing my parent's garage. I've been really happy with the helpful customer service both times. My first call was answered by Carrie and she was very courteous and professional. I had questions about pricing and she explained that since every garage and customization is different, the owner likes to come and look at your garage in order to work with achieving what it is you want for your space. My parent's have a lot of boxes in their garage housing my old grade-school report cards and probably even some of my sister and my old dolls and other stuff. I think they imagined we'd have our own children by this point that would be playing with My Little Pony and Glo-Worms, freeing up some of the space. Nope. My second call to Custom Garages was to inquire about all the "stuff" currently in their garage. I wanted to speak with a technician who does the installations and James was given my call. He works with cabinet installation and said the walls where they work need at least 6 feet of clearance around them with no personal items. He told me a little more about the company and the entire process. It was really helpful and I appreciated the time he spent talking to me. While I don't think that taking on the task of cleaning out my parent's garage is at the top of my to-do list, I think that an organized area would really be beneficial to them. I had done a garage improvement (epoxy and cabinets) with another company in the bay area (I'm not going to talk bad about the other vendor over Yelp, but please send me a private message if you want the details). Unfortunately for me, there were some repairs that I needed done on my epoxy and cabinets and the other company stopped replying to my texts, phone calls, and emails. In a pinch, I was fortunate to speak with Gary and Carrie from Custom Garages Inc. While they said that they typically don't perform repairs on jobs that other companies installed, they listened to my story and agreed to come out to take a look and see what help they could provide. Even though I was not a customer with a big job, they still treated me as a valued customer - scheduling a time, showing up on time as promised, giving me advise on the best solutions to take, etc. I wish I did this job with Gary and Custom Garages Inc. from the very beginning. Never once did they put down the other company, they just wanted me to get my end result right. Within a couple of weeks, they were able to come out and fix my cabinets and epoxy floor (usually coming overtime after they were done with a job that was near by). As angry and sour I was at the other company for bailing on me and our commitment, I forgot all about it because Custom Garages made me have faith that there are still honest and good contractors there that take pride in quality and customer service. Gary Martin from Custom Garages came out to my house at the end of last year. At the time, I was planning to have my garage floors coated and cabinets installed. Wow! What a fantastic experience buying garage cabinets from this family owned business. From my first interaction with Carrie Spencer to my final interaction with their cabinet installer, I thoroughly enjoyed the process. What 's special about this company is that they build the cabinets from scratch which enables them to customize the cabinets size to fit whatever configuration you desire. Equally important, they cut out the middle man (no franchise fees) and are able to deliver a custom cabinet for 20% less than standard stock cabinets. The quality of the materials is also first rate. Hard to imagine why anyone would buy garage cabinets from anyone else. Their website could do with a makeover, but don't let this deter you. Just remember that you are buying cabinets and NOT slick marketing from a franchise company. We chose many variations of cabinet tall (2 different heights), upper and lower with counter tops. I also got the floor done which I think took it over the top. Very satisfied with the service and end product we received from Custom Garages. We have a fairly small garage and just needed a row of cabinets, small bench, wall storage for bikes, etc and a re surfaced floor. Gary came to our house and presented the basic design in a CAD overview which was in-line with our budget and then it was a go.
