What truly sets this shop apart is the people who work there and how deeply they care about the animals in their care. Jason knew so much about the individual snakes and was able to tell us which ones he felt comfortable letting my daughter hold and interact with and why. He knew which snakes were more head-shy, which had been around kids more often, and which had different temperaments. He patiently let her interact with several snakes until she fell in love with a beautiful six-month-old ball python. Since then, we've come back to the shop many times and have always been greeted with so much enthusiasm for this exciting new adventure in her life. They have taught us so much about creating the right enclosure, including the warm and cool sides, humidity, using moss, the importance of proper hides, heating, and so much more. John even gave us the sweet suggestion of having my daughter wear a shirt and then place it in the enclosure so her snake could begin getting used to her scent. Everyone took their time with my daughter, treated her with kindness and compassion, educated me without ever making me feel silly for asking a million questions, and gave me the space I needed to become comfortable and confident with bringing a snake into our home. When asking the manager about the stuck shed, he said it was very common, which is not true with proper care. I have over 10 snakes and have never been an issue. The dart frog tanks were bone dry. Earlier today, I called to ask if they had male veiled chameleons in stock. The employee put me on hold for a couple of minutes, came back, and confirmed they had "a couple" available. A few hours later, my boyfriend and I drove out to the store specifically for that reason. When we arrived, the same employee was immediately unfriendly and gave us attitude the entire interaction. We asked again about the male veiled chameleons, and she again told us they had them in stock and directed us to the back. My aunt also asked about jumping spiders, and the employee responded with the same rude attitude while showing them to us. After checking the reptiles, we spoke with another employee who was actually very helpful and knowledgeable. He explained that they DID NOT currently have any male veiled chameleons available and wouldn't be getting more until next week. He gave us detailed information and was polite the entire time. The issue wasn't just the misinformation, it was also the employee's behavior throughout the visit. She repeatedly stared at my family in an uncomfortable and rude way while we were speaking with other staff members, and every interaction with her felt dismissive and hostile. What's especially frustrating is that this is the same employee who previously sold me a snake and provided me with incorrect husbandry information at the time of purchase. Before visiting the store, I had already done research on the snake I was getting, and later realized that much of the advice I was given was the opposite of what the snake actually needed. Thankfully the snake itself has done well, but inaccurate care information can seriously affect the health of reptiles if customers don't know any better. I understand everyone has bad days, but this is now my second negative experience with the same employee. It's disappointing because behavior like this reflects poorly on the business and does not create a welcoming or professional environment for customers, especially compared to the much more helpful service provided by the other employees I've interacted with.

They have some awesome bearded dragons babies available. I don't recall all the morphs but do recall seeing leatherback. The huge snake and iguana did convey so those house pets are still there.
