To start off this review i wanna say that i am writing this because of something i witnessed while i was at the store with my children just the other day, i took my children in there to let them see the animals while i over heard the owner "Jorden" and his wife talking to an emplloyee of theirs accusing the employee and another employee of starving animals and saying that they didnt do anything and that the store was gross. Needless to say i was in a couple days before and had looked around alone and they young red haired girl was the sweetest ever and really took time to talk to me and answer all my questions also the man employee that has a country accent was soooo helpful he knew so much and they were cleaning and feeding all the animals for the good hour i was in there. But when i came back the second time to find the owners being completly rude i was so disgusted, "jorden" the owner looks high and talks very slow and sounds very uninterested in talking to anyone, his wife was complaing and holding their screaming baby which other customers along with me were grossed out by because she was talking to a customer while holding the crying child and her breast was lactating...ya ew. Their children run around the store screaming with play toys and they are not doing anything to even seem professional. These people do not know how to run the store at all, it sad when the actual owners are horrible at taking care of their own store and the hard working employees are being mistreating infront of customers when i clearly witnessed them doing such a great job and they were my reason for coming back. I give this place no stars because of what i witnessed. Ive also read other reveiws on here about them and i completly agree, its like these owners dont care about the animals they just wanna sell them and not have to care for them with there ALL ANIMAL SALES ARE FINAL AND NO REFUNDS! And dont forget the smell when you walk into the place when their children are there, it smelt like dirty diaper and throw up, when i went in there previously it smelt like pinesol and lysol (clean). They really should consider getting out of the buisness for sure! Or at least never come in and let the employees run it, they were doing a much better job! read more

I recently came here about 3 weeks ago to purchase my own snake. As I already own 2 tortoises and 2 geckos, I was hoping to try out a young corn snake. Immediately when we stepped in, a lot of the animals were separated into their own respective groups, insects/arachnids, reptiles, and I'm assuming mammals in the back. When we stepped into the reptile area, immediately we saw a large amount of reptiles, most notable of which, a burmese python. Each animal looked very healthy, well fed, and overall above average for a pet store. The snake we purchased was an anery (or so I believe) and they informed me on when to feed it, which, by chance was that day. I also purchased some feeder mice to last a few weeks, and, considering they're all gone, I'm coming back this week to purchase more. The animal I brought home ate, and has eaten every week each of the 3 times I first offered it food. It is a very healthy and happy snake, and I held off on posting a review until she shed. And today was that day. Without any assistance, of which I typically need to offer my other reptiles, I wandered near her cage, and saw a perfect shed left by her. I was overjoyed, and considering she has so much personality (hiding under her 2nd layer of substrate, resulting in me panicking because we were told she was prone to escaping. Another example is her always falling asleep when handling and going up my sleeves.) I can't wait to return to this store to buy new food, bedding and decorations, and buy new supplies from here when I get a new pet. All in all, this store has reasonable prices on products, whether their purpose be necessity or pleasure. This shop is definitely above average, and to me, worth going out of my way to visit. read more

Custom Creatures is a great store! I went in the other day after i moved to the area to find food for my reptiles. they carry all the sizes i needed and the prices were great! I like the personal one on one you get from the employee's there. they know their stuff and were very knowledgeable about the animals they have there. I paid $3 bucks to watch the HUGE monitor they have eat a rat! It was kool to see how such a big lizard eats! They Specialize in exotics and have alot of kool unique things to see like the Axolotl's, those are kool. I will defiantly be back and this is now my store! They are convenient, helpfull, clean and nice to talk to! thanks custom creatures! read more

I was just in Custom Creatures yesterday and me and my friend bought 4 sulcata tortoises from you guys and spent $440 in total and when we came back to try and return a tank and a bulb today we were told on the phone that we'd be able to return the items. So we drove 30 minutes to get there for them to tell us we aren't able to return the items or exchange them at all... The lights the bulb didn't fit the light fixture we had already and we just had an extra tank already so we are very disappointed in our experience with you guys and won't be coming back or recommending this reptile store. My husband and I love visiting Custom Creatures. The owners recognize us on sight and we're always in there. The place is always clean and the owners are always friendly and ready to lead a helping hand. We always go to get our frozen rats for our snakes and have never had any issues. Buy 10 get 1 free!! We tend to buy in bulk. Great looking snakes and reptiles. All around joyful establishment. Owners are very knowledgeable. I have a couple snakes and I am always in at least a couple times a week buying rats. I love the comfortable atmosphere. I love the owners (AWESOME Customer Service) and their employee Mike. Everyone is very knowledgeable and gave me extreme detail about my snakes that I didn't even know! Best place to go buy your exotic pets because they take really good care of them. Great family owned shop. Always has plenty of feed on hand at about the best price in town. Purchased a quality large sized custom made terrarium for cheaper than anywhere, even online and it has worked out perfect. Also purchased a baby albino boa for a fair price and he is a little sweetie. The shop is very friendly and knowledgeable about reptiles. Tarantula prices are absurdly high. Conditions are sub-par to say the least. Shopping here feels like you just went to some animal hoarding meth addicts trailer. It's a shame since they're the closest reptile shop to me, but honestly I'd feel better giving my money to a soulless big box pet store. I'll be going to Arizona Reptiles or AE Herps from here on out. read more

After moving into the area, I had to find a new place for feeder mice/rats. They were super patient with how picky my needs (and my reptiles) were and, though it is very crowded, all of the animals were well kept for and they were amazingly nice. Definitely recommend for new reptile owners and those who need any sort of food/accessory. read more

GREAT reptile place. I get crickets her often and I love the way they charge you for them. After you purchase so many you get so many free and they even give you member card thing where you buy so many mice (or something) and you work up to free ones. Great incentive. I love coming here. read more

I used CC for a few years for feeder rats for my pythons. It was frustrating a LOT of the time, as they usually did not have the size that I needed, and I had to go to a different Tropical store. Everyone here is super friendly though, and can answer your questions without issue. read more

Found out today their animals are 90% surrendered that they are profiting off of. Do not shop here. There is a beardie that was surrendered, unknown age, unknown health history, unknown anything and they are selling for 400$ read more
