Good food but worst customer service. The wait time has been horrible when dining in but since he is usually short on waitresses and other personnel I have given this place multiple chances until I decided the wait was not worth the food. So today I tried to order through Grubhub to avoid dealing with the owner and the long wait time. So I make my order and the estimated time is 1hr which i thought it was acceptable since I'm home and I can work on other things while I wait for my order. Well 90 min later my Grubhub driver left after waiting there for like 30min to get the order. So I decided to cancel my order and eat cereal. So here I sit at 8pm almost 2 hours after placing my order and I am hangry. I recommend this place if wait time is not a problem and you are not bothered by bad customer service. read more

This place is a sheet show. I never got to the food, only iced tea (instant) in a plastic cup with a mix of ice tray ice and bag ice. Customers coming in having a cussing contest with what I assume was the owner. I just wanted to leave. I asked to pay for the tea ($4.06), when I expressed shock for the pricy instant tea in the solo cup the owner said he sells a ton of it. Not to me! read more

Go to the curry house instead. Went for the first time with my fiancè for his birthday and we will never come back. I ordered the choley with medium heat and it was so sweet it made my head hurt. I also ordered a flatbread filled with potatoes but got nann instead. I ordered aloo matar (potatoes with a tomato sauce) as my second entree because I could not eat the choley and they brought me the wrong thing twice. First they brought me a chicken and rice dish (Im vegetarian) and then matar paneer which has cheese. Both of these dishes were 10x spicer than the "med" dish I ordered previously. The Pakora was delicious and my fiancè's vindaloo was ok. At least he gets all my entrees as leftovers because they charged us for all the wrong food they brought us. We were the only people in the restaurant too so it wasnt a table mix up. Edit: The response from the owner is so unprofessional. I told them my food was wrong the two times they brought me wrong thing. I asked them to make the original dish more spicy and they refused to but thanked me for the feedback. Maybe staff that undertrained shouldn't be alone in the restaurant. read more

Absolutely fantastic! I had the butter chicken that came with biryani rice, and it was delicious! The server was super nice and very attentive. I will definitely be back! read more

The food is good, the service and atmosphere leaves much to be desired. The first time I went with my family, the owner and an employee, possibly his wife, were having a discussion directly behind my table. He pulled her over and, three feet from us, told her, "when you do that, you take money away from me. Don't do that again." It was unprofessional and immediately put me on edge. Because I don't eat Indian food that often, I told the waitress that I like all foods and to pick her favorite spicy dish for me. I am not kidding when I say I sat there for three minutes while she determined what to order for me. Perhaps she was an indecisive person but it was just another odd instance that she couldn't recommend a dish within an appropriate amount of time. The owner came over while we were eating to chat. He mentioned he wanted our email addresses numerous times and asked us to review the restaurant online. Then, our waitress attempted to clear the dishes before we were done. We were 1 of 3 tables in the restaurant and it was a poor decision on her part. OVERALL: Good Indian fare, close to Atascocita. Order To-Go and pick it up but don't waste time with eating in until they train up the waitstaff. read more

Me and my boyfriend came her for a casual weeknight meal not expecting too much. What a pleasant surprise. We both had the Chicken Tika Masala, I had mild And he has spicy. Both were perfect to our liking. The chicken was very high quality white meat, tender and the sauce was the best I have ever had not greasy at all. I can't remember the name of the Paneer dish we split as a side, but it was made with paneer and puréed spinach. It was absolutely delish. They also served flavored naan, I had the plain and he had the garlic. The owner and chef Russell, was so welcoming and and even offered to give us a tour of his kitchen and freezer. I'm so glad to have a family owned establishment such as this in Atascocita. I'm looking forward to many more meals here and trying new dishes. Thank you Russell. Curry Sultan - Indian Near Me - Humble, Texas

The food here is very tasty and well worth a visit. I do wish however that the owner would not solicit customers to write online reviews to combat negative reviews. There will always be people who are impossible to please. The food here is delicious and can stand on its own without soliciting positive reviews. Most smart people read these reviews with a grain of salt. read more

First time here we got the naan, chicken kuorma, and the butter chicken. It was delicious and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. You could definitely tell it was authentic Indian cuisine. We wish it was closer to our house so we could order take out! read more

Very good Indian food! Very good service as well. Garlic Naan is really good. Samosas are good. Recommend Lamb tika Masala or the beef kofta. read more

There is authentic Indian food and there is unique food. Chef Ramaswamy at the Curry Sultany USA is truly both! The food was fantastic. I have been all over India and had Indian food in London, and this was at that level. We asked Chef Ramaswamy to not hold back on flavor and asked him to bring us what he thought we would like. The samosa was great, and the main dish (shrimp vindaloo) was perfect and packed with flavor! Totally recommend this place. read more

Didn't get what I ordered. But being hungry, ate it anyway. Service wasn't as good as others have mentioned. I like this place. But this visit was not that great. Hope it was an off night. At least they're discounting my meal, since I got the wrong item. I'll be back... but disappointed tonight. read more

We had the veggie appetizer with the tamarind dipping sauce, garlic and cheese naan, Lamb Biryani, Lamb Vindaloo, and Beef Kofta. AMAZING!!!! We each ordered something different so we can try out the different dishes and we were not disappointed! We love that there were big chunks of meat and not tiny cubes (like what other restaurants serve). We will definitely be back! Great local find! read more

Quiet unassuming little restaurant in a Humble shopping center. Not busy the two times I've been. The garlic naan was to die for, they'll bring out samples of some items. If you're adventurous or nervous about trying Indian stop by and they'll walk you through it. read more

Delicious! And I love supporting small, local businesses.

Got butter chicken (extra spicy) delivered and it was piping hot and SUPER GOOD. Pretty good portion. Would recommend for others!

Order food and an hour later our order was still not ready. Found out it had been sitting in back for 30 minutes while they were trying to fry our shrimp that only takes 3 minutes to cook. No apology no empathy. Don't waste your money or time just go to The Curry House. They have their shit together there. My order was placed at 6:08. I called my spouse at 6:58 and the shrimp for our order was still not cooked. The rest of our order had been waiting. Either way it was not properly resolved. We will not be returning. You still want to argue on social media. You have my number you could have called me to resolve this. read more

My husband and I have ordered takeout and dined in at this restaurant, and we always find ourselves coming back for more. Our favorite dish is the Tikka Masala and we love the naan. Ordered food from here to go. They were 45 minutes to closing and my sibling and I did not want to stay out too late. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating when we changed our order to go. Now lets talk about the food. It was delicious! I love spicy food (I can handle ghost pepper spicyness) and their meal was flavorful as intended. Heck, I would order the spicy level to a 4 or 5 next time for my taste buds. I ordered the lamb vindaloo and got some garlic naan bread to go with it. The naan smelled delicious and tasted just as good. read more

Highly disappointed. Ordered appetizers and naan, and it took 50 mins to arrive. Upon arrival, order was not correct. I was told I had to pay with cash, however the driver did not bring change. I called and asked for the items that should have been delivered and was told it was too close to closing, and I would not be able to get it. The young lady who took my order was rude on top of all of it. I will not be ordering from them again. read more

I first came across this place when I was getting soup to-go from a nearby restaurant. After getting better I decided to try it out because I've always wanted to try Indian cuisine. This is hands down the best food I've ever tasted. The food has great flavor and texture. Don't get me started on the naan and rice. OMG their homemade lemonade with mint is delicious!! So far I've been only three time. The first was by myself. Second I introduced the cuisine to my younger sister who feel that n love with the food, and recently on my last visit I finally convinced my mom...now she likes it. Next person to get in there is my dad. Did I mention the owner speaks fluent Spanish! read more

Curry Sultan - Beef kofta is amazing! Chicken tikka is sooo yummy and the Pakora is the best I've had! - Indian Near Me - Humble, Texas

I was very surprised to find this gem in the northern suburbs of Houston. I was a bit amused by the modest storefront vibe, but in that little place was a powerhouse of flavors, and the kindness of the owner. I've read other reviews and consider myself fortunate that the chef/owner was on the premises when I visited. I found the food authentic to my memories of times in India, with items worth from the Punjabi tradition and inspired by the south of the subcontinent. I'd like to visit again. Good work! read more

We all loved our meals, especially the beef samosas. Russell greeted and treated us like family. We will gladly return.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area! Excellent service and amazing food. They've moved fairly recently so make sure you go to the correct address. Shop local. You won't regret it. Our family favorites are the Butter Chicken, Paalak Panter and of course the Tikka Masala. read more

So I wanted to try this place the other day because of the reviews, but when I went there I quickly decided otherwise. The guy at the counter seemed like he was smoking way to much weed! The guy who runs the place is very arrogant and seems way to into his own rear end to care what any one else thinks. Very rude! I decided to give it a shot a few days later, may be the guy just had a bad day or what ever. We all get those. I was sitting at the table when I noticed a whole family of roaches running across the kitchen floor. I already ordered so I was oh god I hope they were just a figment of my imagination. Well when I received my food I was met with more bugs running around the floor in the kitchen. The guy who brought my food had to dance around them. I was done at that point I told him no and walked out the door. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! read more

I found this place maybe two years ago and knew nothing about Indian food, but the owner was very helpful. If you go you have to get beef samosas! For people that are new to Indian food, you can't go wrong with butter chicken or biryani. Don't be upset if you pay a little more than chili's or if your wait is longer than 10 minutes. It's authentic food, they cook the food when you order it and it's worth the wait! read more

My wife and I enjoy the food at Curry Sultan the food has always been great quality. We do to go orders more so than to dine in because of our schedules. I appreciate the owner for hotshotting the rest of the order to our home to correct an incorrectly prepared order the last time we got takeout. Not many people will admit mistakes and take corrective measures on their own to keep his and his restaurant's reputation and integrity. Its easier to blame others but his actions speak to his integrity. Thank you. read more

The first time I came here it was a good experience but the second time I was disappointed. They are HEAVILY UNDER STAFFED! The owner was there the first time but this time nobody was there but 3 employees. The host a huge amount of orders by the cashier and even I waited 15 minutes before he was taking an order on the phone. When I got my lamb kabobs I was disappointed because the host had my stuff in the delivery bag laying sideways and it looks like I'm short a kebab. I have other things to say since my ex is a chef but I won't. I hope they can get back on track this restaurant has a good reputation such a shame. The food is /was good! read more
