The first time I came here was maybe more than a year ago and they had terrible service. Then I went a few weeks ago and wow! Everything has changed. They expanded the area and redecorated, making the place more spacious and welcoming. The timing of the orders was good. I ordered the Bharta Makhni (which is: Roasted eggplant pureed and then cooked with garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, and cream). It's my favorite dish there. However, I think I'll try their lunch specials next time because you get alot of options and items, so it's the best bang for your buck. Really really good food! They ask what level of spicy you want, and they got it just right. Had the chicken kabobs, which comes with rice, naan, and a fried crunchy piece of yum. Hands down, the best Indian food I've had. The owners and employees were super nice and welcoming to everyone who walked through the door. The food was excellent- I had the dinner special with chicken masala (medium curry)- the naan is AMAZING. I wanted to order more, but had to stop myself from going into a food coma. The prices are reasonable- about $10 for the dinner special. The restaurant is the perfect dive. I don't want to oversell Curry N Kebob. The Chana Paneer lunch special today was fantastic. My husband ordered the Chicken Makhni, also quite excellent. Good portion size, speedy service and easily the best flavor of all of the Indian restaurants I've sampled since moving to the area. A must try! One of the co-owners recommended the Shrimp Paneer with garlic naan. I will be trying this next time. I believe the co-owner I spoke to was Sam, and he was out front taking orders today. Very charismatic and obviously passionate about the food and business. Eager to know what people thought of the experience. I don't come across people like this very often. Sad excuse for Indian food. You gotta keep in mind that in a college town cheap restaurants that serve large portions get good reviews. The quality of the food, cleanliness of the restaurant, and service often go unnoticed, or at least not commented upon. Good Indian food is hard to find in Colorado but Curry n Kebob does a terrific job. Absolutely love their dinner and lunch specials with the thali concept. Very reasonable price for a TON of food. My family ordered the chicken jalfrezi, chicken kebob, Chana, and the korma, as well as some chai and mango lassi. All were phenomenal and had great flavor. Atmosphere isn't the greatest being a hole in the wall fast casual concept, but appears to be family owned and operated so they have a vested interest in customer satisfaction. Garlic Naan was awesome. Chicken Kebab's were great, with nice heat. Chicken Saab was delicious and flavorful. Lamb masala was very good but could have been spicier (I ordered hot, but Kebabs were hotter. Could have accidentally swapped the heat preference during the order by mistake). My partner and I do weekly take-out from here because Indian is definitely one of our go- to favorite cravings. We could be considered hardcore Indian connoisseurs. I'm thinking we average about 2-3 pick-ups a month and supplement with take-out from Tandoori Grill as well. It is just a longer drive for us to go to south Boulder than Curry n Kebob's central location. We noticed that the food could be a little inconsistent but for the past few months it has really stepped up front & center and been consistently delicious! We usually get the chicken kebob and the bharta baingan (eggplant), both medium-spiced. We also get an order of regular and garlic naan. The naan recently has been absolutely perfect! Thick, doughy and soft. The eggplant and chicken kebob both have a great spice and flavor profile and I love the raw spice soaked onion that comes with the kebob. The chicken kebob has some incredibly strong spices on it..and it is tastes amazing but if you want something more mild, then I would suggest ordering something else. I must disclose, that I have not tried more of the menu offerings because the kebob and eggplant are so good that there is really no need to deviate. The atmosphere is fast casual which I think works best for take-out. The prices are also very reasonable and much appreciated! Curry n Kebob is a great addition to the Indian dining scene of Boulder. Would love to see them lose the styrofoam and have more green/compostable to-go food containers. If that adds an extra .25 per entree, I am happy to pay it to not have to interact with and perpetuate the use of styrofoam. read more

"Too busy" was the excuse that they couldn't make roti. Consequently, the white naan was left on my plate as a tribute to lack of customer satisfaction! Dal soup was mainly broth, but flavor OK. I am so so incredibly happy! A long time ago, I used to work at an Indian restaurant, and keema mutter was oneof my favorite things. We ate here today because I was hungry, it was close, and I saw "keema" on the menu. So very delicious, and fast too! And they had duck and goat on the menu. Lunch can be had for as little as $7.95. I've been here with my friends a few times, but I recently brought my mother along with me as she'd never eaten here before. After proclaiming that it was "the best Indian food she's ever had", she tucked the two leftover naan from her meal that she was too full to finish into her bag and snacked on them the entire drive home. This place lifts my soul into the clouds every time I go! I'm dumbfounded that a place so rare and precious could be in Boulder, right next to my home. It's cheap, delicious food with views of the Rockies. I mean, isn't that the agreed upon trifecta of awesome?! I think so. The food is incredible in it's simplicity. The naan is doughy (not sure that's traditional style but my American stomach loves it!), the rice isn't dry and the vindaloo dishes are so flavorful! Did I mention their lamb cooking skills? I just stopped by here last night and tried out the following items: - naan & garlic naan: regular naan was a bit doughy, garlic naan had good flavor - chicken tikka kebab: cooked well, seasoned well, very tasty! - bhindi masala: seasoned well, although i would prefer more tomatoes - chana masala: very spicy, good seasoning, tasty, but cream based (which is not really my cup of tea) Service was friendly and attentive. I'm still madly in restaurant love with Curry N Kebob. Probably my favorite place to eat in Boulder because of price and taste. On average, we go three times a month, sometimes more. Owners are super friendly and know us by now. Whenever we (my guy and I) go, whether for lunch or for dinner, we split the chicken makhni or the chicken tikka masala (whatever is on special). They give you a big silver platter that comes with a generous portion of chicken with heavenly sauce, lots of rice, delicious naan bread, a deep-fried onion tumbleweed, and a small cup of the dessert of the day. We buy extra rice and naan, since we split the platter. It's an extremely superb meal -- for $12ish (counting tip)! That's $6.00 per person ... amazing price, particularly for how good the food is. If you want to go it alone, Lunch special is only $7.95 ... and I believe dinner is $9.95?? Either way. It's cheap. Cheap is good. If you are reading this review, and you're on the fence about going, my input is this: absolutely. Get off your butt and go eat some of the most delicious food in Boulder. I was excited to come here after reading all these reviews. Unfortunately my experience was less than I had hoped. My paneer masala was very runny, my rice was undercooked, and my naan and masala were both BURIED in cilantro. It's a very overwhelming herb, so it did take away from the overall dish for me. The place was very busy, so we had to wait for a seat (lunch rush), and there aren't a lot of seating options -- so be prepared for that. Overall, I've had better. But the prices here are great and from what I saw their daily lunch specials are nicely priced as well. read more

For their lunch or dinner special, Curry n Kebob's Chicken Masala is unbeatable. Probably the Chicken Masala anywhere. And when it's all said and done, you're out the door for less than $10 (completely stuffed). The rice, naan bread, and the friend onion are all incredible. On the right day you'll get a yogurt with cinnamon for dessert, but usually it'll just be canned fruit. Seven day a week, the owner is always there, which is very cool to see. Think a spiced up version of tomato basil soup with delicious tender chicken inside, all served with amazingly soft naan bread, delicious condiments, fried onions, and perfectly cooked basmati rice. And then there's the value. At $8 for the lunch special, you'll get enough food to feed two normal humans or one competitive eater. We went here and got the dinner specials, which supposed to come with rice, nan and a desert. We asked what the desert was and they say rice pudding. The specials selection was underwhelming. Nothing on the menu looked like it was anything special or unique to this restaurant. When we got our food, the food was really bad. Instead of rice pudding we got pineapples from a can?! The nan was very obviously store bought and reheated in the microwave. There was one other green soupy thing I didn't know was it was but it was disgusting. What is there to say about Curry and Kabob that hasn't already been said? My partner adores this place, so it's a shock when I realize that we don't swing by nearly enough. The prices are reasonable the service is quick - both in the restaurant and via delivery. The food is always fresh and the prices are stellar. This place has expanded over the last year due to how amazing the food is. The lunch specials (especially the vegetarian curries) are very flavorful and they give you generous portions of rice and naan. The eggplant curry with peas gets me very time! My wife loves Indian cuisine and she said that she hasn't had it in a long long time so I went searching for a place to take her for her bday. She was stuck between this place or another that we found that served alcohol. Yelp helped to make the final decision and we decided to go here purely because of all the positive reviews. We pulled up just before 7pm and the place was packed! We walked up to the door but didn't see any place to sit inside and started to have second thoughts about eating here. Just as we were walking out the door, 2 tables opened and we made a bee line to a booth. We grabbed some menu's and within seconds the booth was clean and a waiter was asking us if we had any questions about the menu or the daily specials. We put in our order and watched as the people streamed in and out of the door. Our wait for the food was between 15-20 min, which was impressive for having something made to order. I can't say that I've ever been a big fan of Indian food, but after eating here, I definitely am now. The curry's spice was made to my specifications, the temp of the food was piping hot, the naan was better than naan should be and the portions were generous. We were so impressed with the food, we put a order in for a couple of entree's to go so we could have them for dinner the next day. So, are there any downsides? It's not the price. You can get a helluva meal for just over $10 (including tip) out the door. The only downside that comes to mind is the lack of seating. The place is small, but that must be just to keep all of that flavor locked up inside. read more
