We came to Parker Place looking for some old time Hong Kong eats and were not disappointed. Almost everyone in our group of 11 went to get cart noodles from Curry Kitchen. I decided to go simple and went with a lai fun noodle, pig's blood, and curry fish balls. When it came out with Chinese broccoli, I thought that they got my order wrong, but it turns out that they include it with every bowl - nice! You can also add in satay or beef innard sauce to the soup. I can speak Cantonese but my reading of characters is limited - the lady taking my order was so patient with me and super nice. She had brown hair in a ponytail with double piercings on both ears. (Thank you for being so helpful with a smile!). My husband got egg noodles with beef stomach, curry fish balls, and tripe. Grandma got "oil noodles" with plain fish balls, beef lung, and pig's blood. Since beef lung isn't allowed in America, we also got an extra side of that as well, and it was very tasty. My brother and I are often disappointed with pig's blood in America because the texture and taste never compares to those in Hong Kong - neither did the pig's blood here, but it is probably the closest we've had outside of HK. Prices of the cart noodles were very decent as well - $5.50 for 2 items, $6.50 for 3 items, $7.50 for 4 items, and $8.50 for 5 items. Our three noodle bowls with side of beef lung came out to about $23, not bad. It was fun eating something that tasted good and reminded us of HK! read more
