I have to give this place a 3-star because the service here was very good. The workers were super nice and explained everything to me (since it was my first time going). I didn't feel rushed and we actually had a nice conversation! But I must say, the food just didn't taste very good to me. My friend and I each ordered different things (the teriyaki burrito and the tofu burrito) and I just wasn't a big fan of it. Since taste is totally objective, you may love this place. At the least I can say that the atmosphere is cool and the employees are great. My suggestion is to give it a try and see for yourself! read more

Went in and only ordered a smoothie on my thirty minute lunch break. I was order 196. The guy proceeded to make the smoothies for orders AFTER me. Then I gave them my ticket once they realized mine hadn't been made yet. The guy then proceeds to MAKE two other customers smoothies after I had told them I was still waiting for mine. I again told them I hadn't yet received my smoothie and I FINALLY got it after waiting 20 MINUTES for it. I rarely complain about bad experiences but this was just ridiculous. read more

This review is for their delivery service. My co-workers and I ordered Currito for delivery yesterday for a work lunch. I entered my address for delivery and placed our orders. I got a confirmation saying that it would be delivered in the next 30 minutes. I got a call 30 minutes later asking where we are located. I told them where our office is and she said she was on her way. 15-20 minutes later we still had no food so I decided to call the restaurant to see what was up. The man I spoke with said our delivery woman would be here in 5 minutes. I went downstairs to wait for her outside. While waiting, she called me and said "Um I tried to call you 3 times and you never answered. I was there and I just left". She flat out lied to me. I have perfect cell reception in my building and never showed a missed call or voicemail, and I had been standing right out front for quite some time and never saw her. As I continued to talk to her she then just admitted that our office was too far for delivery, since they only deliver in a 2 block radius. Yes, we are much further than 2 blocks, and I didn't even realize that they delivered on foot and thought they had a car. So at this point it's been over an hour since we placed our order and past lunch time so I talked with her to figure out my options. My only option was to come pick up the order in the store. We had to drive there during our work meeting time to pick it up and were never offered an apology for the woman lying to me, not even a discount for how insanely they messed up our delivery. My suggestion would be to outline on their website where they deliver to, because as a customer it is not clear at all - or at least call me right away and tell me that our office is too far and have me come right then to pick it up. And perhaps let the delivery woman know that lying to a customer is just going to make them very very upset and want to write a yelp review. On the bright side, I do like the food here and hopefully will get over this bad experience to be a repeat customer. read more

At first it seemed like your typical Qdoba or Chipotles, but a close look at the menu will tell a different story. It is not just Mexican burritos, but burritos from around the world. The Meditarranian burrito is a great with Feta and cucumbers. The summer burrito is loaded with black beans and mangos. There are many other types to choose from, so don't think just Mexican. The term "without borders" definitely applies here... read more

I came here for lunch, and ordered the Buffalo Bowl with the blue cheese crumbles. When I got back to my office- there was no blue cheese! I sadly ate my bowl anyways, though I could have walked across the street to get a replacement bowl. I wrote a review online and heard back from their GM almost immediately! He sent me an offer to come back and give them another chance on him. I am sure glad I did! Their bowls are fresh with tons of different options to fill. You get a little less than Chipolte, but their options are more varied. The buffalo chicken bowl is really good, and so is there greek style bowl. Thye also have a really awesome rewards program for repeat customer, which is really great. read more

couldn't give this 0 stars. so one is good enough. I go to the Kennwood location often. and i was closer to this one today so i stopped by. i went in at about 6:30 and they close at 7. when i walked in they were already cleaning up and almost all the food was put away. service was terrible. i got a bowl and a smoothie and waited a good 10 minutes before it was made. keep in mind i was the only one in there. they gave me generous portions which was nice. but the rice is undercooked and crunchy. while i was in there a lady came in and said the rice was no good. so i know i'm not the only one. the bowl itself tastes no good. i took two bites and couldn't finish. i've never had a problem with the other location but i will never go back to this one. horrible read more

As a Xavier student, I have eaten Currito more times then I would care to admit. Perhaps unfairly, the good things about Currito no longer phase me and I have seen more than my share of the bad. This particular location is certainly better than the Xavier location in terms of service. Mainly because this location is forced to be very efficient and the Xavier location employs college students that probably don't want to be there. That being said, Currito does have decent food and there are a few reasons why I may voluntarily choose Currito (although that rarely happens now that I've graduated). The main reason why I like Currito is its variety of flavors. Even Qdoba can't match the overall breadth of options that Currito has. For instance, in addition to every traditional burrito topping, currito has the option to choose Buffalo, Terriyaki, and Thai-flavored burritos. These options are all very tasty, even if the quality of ingredients is sometimes lacking. Try Currito if you want a new take on the burrito scene but don't expect a life-changing experience. read more

I go to this location all the time its my favorite of the chains largely because of customer service Stacey and Phillip are the absolute best they know my order before I tell them and my children can tell if Phillip or Stacey don't make the burritos/bowls. They are all great but Stacey and Phillip have that special touch. I have been to the one in Clifton also but as stated there is a difference. I have to say I am not really that impressed with the place. I work downtown so I wanted to try something new in the square area. The line did move fast and they seemed friendly. I did like the fact they had smoothie drinks. I got a strawberry smoothie and a build your own. A little on the pricier side but all in all the food was good. The bowl did seem bigger than what the competitors around seem to give but I don't know if that is because they are still new to the area or if that will change. For now it is ok, nothing too special I thought for another burritos/taco place. read more

I ate here over the weekend, and it's a pretty standard place if you've ever been to Qdoba, Moe's, Chipotle, etc. They do have a lot more interesting options here though, and I was pretty pleased overall, but I do think the steak was a bit on the dry side. I was curious what Burrito's without borders meant, but it was obvious when you looked at their menu, their Burritos are based on different cuisines. Even though you can totally customize your burrito, when I first go to a place, I tend to order a predefined items just to get a feel for them. I had their Thai variation. It was excellent, a little spicy but also lighter than many burrito's. I did takeaway, so I cannot comment on what it is like to eat their. They have 2 assemble lines (it is set up like subway or chipolata), so the line goes quickly. I will definitely be back and try something else. Another thing I like it that there are 2 sizes of burritos (they also will do bowl versions too). For a quick lunch it is worth a visit and a nice addition to the southeast side of downtown. read more

So I am Chipotle's biggest fan. To the point where I eat there at least weekly. But I've gotta say - Currito is slowly working it's way up on my favorite list. It's not surpassed Chipotle yet, but it's getting close! I don't go for all the fancy schmancy stuff at Currito (read: hummus, tofu, etc.). I get exactly the same ingredients as I get at Chipotle (rice, chicken, two salsas, and cheese). I also add some broccoli just to make myself feel less guilty. It is delicious. Trust me! read more

I'm used to the more jovial places of this local franchise (i.e. Hyde Park location and college campus locations). This location is massive; definitely makes sense though why they have several lines with lunch rush downtown because there's not many options. I'm not a big fan of them. I had a free Currito card and didn't feel like cooking for I was soon to go on a road trip so just capitalized on this. This one was Tragic. To begin, the two other people who were semi-patiently waiting (the elderly woman reminded me of an underdeveloped extra from Golden Girls was so rude) mentioned to me that they've been waiting for some time because the only Currito rep at the time who knows how to work the cash register was gone for the moment. He was next door talking to the people from the mini-mart next door who were moving and he was upset that they were just going to leave unannounced not saying their appropriate goodbyes...like seriously?! You have patrons waiting 10+ minutes for something like that. This isn't a C level melodrama. The meal was standard. Compare to Q'doba/Chipotle this is for sure pricier. I got a strawberry Nutella milkshake which always hits the spot...honestly Currito should just stick to milkshakes and their massive chocolate chip cookies and honestly they'd do fine if not better because the food doesn't really do it. Also was surprised they changed pinto with lentils options like that's enough...I get they try to drive in the lane of a healthier, fresh option but some toppings they have don't really make sense to me. read more

I go to Currito downtown often and enjoy eating here with my dad. Autumn always provides excellent service along with others, and the food is always great, my favorite burrito is the teriyaki. read more

I had lunch there today and the food is very good. My biggest complaint is that the noise level is VERY high. It has poor acoustics so any noise gets amplified. But they make it worse by cranking up the music too loud. I guess if I were a bar person it might be something that wouldn't bother me, but I like to be able to have a conversation without having to speak really loud. With that change it would be 5 stars for me! read more

The food is really good here but the staff is the reason I give it two stars. The workers acted like they hated dealing with people, and I saw the server touching the phone and cash register with his dirty glove and going right back to serving the food. When I asked him nicely if he could change his glove, he gave the dirtiest, nastiest look. If you don't want to observe good hygiene then why work in the food industry?? Really disappointed read more
