I had high hopes from the reviews and didn't want to drive to Lynnwood from Marysville to fulfill my craving, but this place was mediocre at best. The samosa was the only thing that was better than "ok" and everyone in my group came hungry for lunch and only ate one out of our three lunch buffet entrees. Maybe it'd be better if we hadn't gotten the buffet-style lunch options, but the lack of spices on all of the dishes left a lot to be desired. read more

Holy smokes! I've been craving Indian food for ages and just found out about this place. One of the best things about this restaurant are the owners, Deep and Binu. They are so nice and really take their time to help you choose the dish you want. I really like Butter Chicken but protein isn't really agreeing with me these days so Deep went into the kitchen and graciously prepared the dish for me with potatoes instead. The Butter Chicken Sauce is to die for! I got the Tikka Masala for the mister with a spice level of 4 which he said was spot on. Their rice is truly the best I've ever had from an Indian place, so fragrant and fluffy. We also had the Aloo Tikki which were a little small but delicious. The mister really loved them but they were a little on the spicy side for me. Along with that we had two Samosas and two Garlic Naans. Both are HUGE! I've yet to try either because I'm still full. I'm thinking midnight snack or breakfast. For dessert I bought Besan (both burfee and cashew), mister said they were both fabulous. I really want to eat more but I'll wait until I'm hungry so it will taste as yummy as it did earlier. P.S. They had the Sunday Buffet set up while I was there and it looked fantastic. This place is awesome it inspired me to actually write a review. Its by the 7-11 by my house and I always thought it was crappy because it was just a little place in a 3 business strip mall. I totally underestimated it. Best prices, awesome food, I mean the dishes really come with some passion behind them and the owners are awesome and very hospitable even to the point where I feel like I could just go there and say hello any time and they would be cool with it. I would recommend that you stop by and give them a chance and make yourself a new once a week hangout. You will feel very welcome and get a outstanding meal in the meantime. Never had a bad experience here, and I've been going for over 6 months now regularly. The family that owns Curries cares so much about their food and their customers experience, it really shows! They're the kindest people and they make amazing delicious food. I usually try something different every time, but my personal favorites are their saag and tikka masala. The garlic naan is perfect as well, and when I really want to pack on the calories I order a mango lassi, also delicious. They also are very considerate of food allergies which goes a long way with me. We've spoken with the owner before, he gets most of his meat from locally owned responsible butchers, another plus! Wow! Finally we have a place in North Seattle that can match the flavors of North India. I mean authentic, flavorful food that is easy on the palate. The menu at Curries is a good mix of commonplace North Indian dishes as well as some ethnic gems like Sultani Murghi, Nawazi Korma and Amritsari Fish! Can't praise their Goat Biryani and Tandoori Chicken enough. The meat in their dishes is always fresh, well cooked yet very juicy. And then there is the owner Mr. Sidhu who is always friendly and makes sure to visit your table when he is around. His passion for food and keen eagerness for your feedback always shows. The owners (mom and pop) was super friendly and sweet, but our server Haylee was rude. I think she needs to step back and remember she is in the service industry. Ex 1:While she was putting down the food she was saying which dish is what and started walking away while she was in mid sentence. As if her body was being pulled away like a magnet before her mouth can finish speaking. why would you not finish saying your sentence and THEN walk away? If you are going to walk away while putting something down why bother saying anything at all? It wasn't because they were busy. We were the only table there. So I don't know what her rush was. Maybe her chatter was more important than having manners. Ex 2: The whole time she looked mad at us whenever there was interaction between us, but when she walked away from us and started having chit chat with the other server she was all smile and giggles. As soon as she came back it looked like I was her worst enemy. Haylee was rude from the moment we sat down and I felt that it ruined the dining experience especially knowing how nice and kind the owners + son + employee at curries was on Casino Rd *. Curries was the first place that caught my eye and I'm so pleased that me and my family went and enjoyed their amazing food.
