This place has by far the best curry I've ever had in my life. My boyfriend and I both work down the street from here and he suggested getting take out a couple weeks ago. We've been there three times since. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is well worth a trip to West Casino. We decided to take my parents there last night. We both knew exactly what we wanted- them... not so much. One of the waiters (or the owner- I'm unsure) came over and went through the menu with them thoroughly- You could tell he wasn't in a rush which was nice. We got a round of vegetable Samosas before our meal which were fresh out of the fryer with a couple dipping sauces- those were amazing! Everyone got their own curry, garlic naan (except I got roti- whole wheat!) and shared the tandoori sampler. We ordered the Palak Masala (spinach curry with lamb), special curry with lamb, special curry with chicken and Baigan Bharta. All of them were great- no complaints whatsoever. The meat was tender and juicy (not common with Indian restaurants in my experience) and the curries were crazy flavorful. The garlic naan is moist and chewy like it should be- the roti is the same, but less flavorful (that's usually how it is- you sacrifice some flavor when ordering whole wheat- whaddayagunnado). The rice was great too- not too wet and blended well with the curries. The tandori sampler had some different meats on it- I think chicken and lamb. The lamb here was the best lamb I have ever had at a restaurant- no joke. When the waiter came and asked how we liked the meal, we were all very complimentary which led him to tell us that they buy fresh local produce twice a week and fresh (never frozen) meat locally, as well. Here's the best part (in my opinion): They don't add cream to their regular curries or naan. In my experience, the best tasting curries from your average Indian place actually have heavy cream in them. Explains why they're so good and filling, right?? The waiter told us they don't do that. The dish I order (Baigan Bharta) is made of roasted eggplant that is crushed and mixed with spices and vegetables (and some oil, I'm sure). No dairy! You know they're doing something right when the food tastes better than the competitors who actually add fatty dairy to the food. If you're a fan of Indian food OR have never tried it, do it. It's relatively cheap compared to some other places and so worth it. read more

I always go to Indian restaurants with the worst experiences/food. It's probably been 2 years since I've had Indian and I decided to give this place a try since I recently changed my diet to meat-free. I ordered to-go just in case I didn't like it. I told the guy over the phone that I wanted the most popular veggie dish with garlic naan. He ordered me the mutter paneer or something. I got SO hungry after the gym that I just tore into it once I picked it up. The man behind the counter was so nice and told me to pay after my meal. My first bite was extremely hot (not spicy) which is a very good sign with me and it was so f*cking goooooood. I ate the majority of it and saved some for my bf to try and he loved it too. Went here on a recommendation by a friend and was more than pleasantly surprised to find good Indian food in Everett; it was some of the best I've had in Seattle as a whole! We ordered and ate family style: Baigan Bharta, Curries' Special Curry with Chicken, the Navratan Korma, and the Chicken Biryani. Curries' Special Curry was saucy and and more red than brown, and wonderfully buttery. The Chicken Biryani is sort of their version of fried rice, with fennel and other aromatic spices. It was yum. And you'll just have to come in and try their Curries' Special Curry. The owner of the restaurant came and briefly shared his story about how the restaurant started. This is definitely the kind of place that wants to be personable. I have yet to try the all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet (from 12-3) for only $10! First visit today, on my wife's recommendation. She came based on Yelp reviews, or we would never have been by here. Today we came for the Sunday brunch, an AYCE buffet of 10 dishes for $10. Tandoor chicken was perhaps the best I've ever had. Period. They use never-frozen meat, and marinade for at least 12 hours. All the other items were as good as any, but I could certainly come here and eat only tandoor chicken. Very hospitable, family-run business. No tree nuts on the buffet! Very quiet on Sunday. I am so particular about my Indian food, as having lived in India for a while and Curries is definitely not a bad option at all. I always judge the base of good Indian food vs bad Indian food on their Chicken Tikka Masala. The good ones will have little oil and be creamy and delicious and not taste like it's a can of tomato soup with chicken pieces. And the Curries variety was quite delicious. The owners were great and informative about their food. I also tried the Palak Paneer and Baigan Bhartha, which were both delicious vegetarian options. I also got the garlic naan. All of the food fed me plus 2 hungry boys with plenty left over and the whole bill didn't break my wallet either. I also tried their barfi, Indian dessert bars which were nice as well. They said they got them from Canada and they tasted fresh and pleasant. Overall I really enjoyed my food from here and shall definitely be coming back. The only reason it got a 4 instead of 5 stars is that the location, inside a small strip mall can be a bit hard to find parking and I wish they served their buffet on more days than just on Sunday. read more

This is a little hole in the wall next to a 7-Eleven. The people are very nice and they keep their restaurant very clean, servicing the tables and clearning things when people are immediately done eating. We went there for lunch and got their "Lunch" menu which is basically cafeteria style. The butter chicken was very good. I ordered a samosa and it was amazing and a plus at only $1.25! Hubby and I finally stopped in today for the Sunday buffet. I think there were about a dozen options with an awesome blend of meats and vegetarian dishes that are all sooooo good! The butter chicken was amazing, but so were all of the vegetarian dishes I tried. We left stuffed and completely satisfied. Everything is also kept really fresh and is changed out frequently. There is no chewy, nasty old food here, just delicious food that's about as fresh as if you'd just ordered it. Also, for a buffet where you serve yourself, the employees were incredibly nice and helpful. They were on top of refilling the food and water pitcher while also offering help with whatever questions someone might have. All in all, I think it was awesome, and I definitely plan on coming back to try their normal menu! Give them a try! read more

I was craving butter chicken so yesterday it was rainy, and dreary. I went into the restaurant the host was wearing his mask, the boy that was bagging the food was wearing his mask and then I look in to the kitchen. The cooks were not wearing their masks . Let me tell you what I do, I am the head chef at a memory care facility. We have been on lockdown since March 3 that means that my residents cannot see their family members. Can you imagine not being able to go visit your parents or aunts and uncle's? It's horrific. We have set up zoom and do window visits. All 49 of my residents got tested in April, 31 tested positive. Since then 27 have gotten their wings and crossed over the rainbow bridge. I cannot tell you how disgusted I am when I see things like this. I am considered a Frontline essential worker. This is not a hoax, this is not a joke. I WILL YELP THE FUCK out of every restaurant I go to that is not following procedure. Masks are mandated by our governor to be worn when ever you go into any type of facility. It also really saddens my heart, so many of my friends and their friends have not met anyone that has contacted this virus let alone died from it therefore they don't feel that it's real. This little "hole in the wall" is the best Indian food I've eaten, maybe ever. Don't dismiss this place because it's tiny and in a terrible location. I had the butter chicken with rice and naan. It's was the perfect blend of spices and flavor, and they do not skimp on the chicken. I also tried the samosas. All I can say is, YUM! It definitely satisfied my Indian food craving. Whenever we want a very satisfying meal on date night, we head to Curries. It is guaranteed to be the most flavorful delicious meal. I originally went to Curries quite some time ago and recently went back to give it a try after having explored some more Indian restaurants up north in surrey BC (so much amazing Indian food). Originally I had thought this place was pretty good, but after having expanded my spectrum of Indian food I was left disappointed this time. This place is also not strictly vegetarian like it says in the category, they serve chicken and other meat dishes. Rest aside Indian food always has plenty of great vegetarian options which I absolutely love about this food. For my food I ordered the channa masala and malai kofta (two dishes that are easy to gauge taste wise between Indian restaurants). The masala seemed overly cheesy to my liking and with only 4 cheese balls seemed like a small portion compared to many other Indian restaurants I've tried. I thought the sauce was too creamy and it lacked the taste I was craving. The kofta was better, but again not as delicious as other places I've been. The portion as well is smaller than the price implies and they should give more food for how much you pay. I also am not a huge fan of this rice, I ordered naan separate, but I'd wish I could just swap them out and ditch the rice altogether. Upon checkout the man ringing me up also snuck an extra dollar charge onto each dish for some reason, making me spend over $20 for two entrees that aren't very big. I'm not sure if it was because I asked for naan, but regardless I felt ripped off by his action to charge above the asking price. Upon exiting he told me that he'd love to hear how it compared to Surrey indian food, I don't think I'll be back to be able to tell him it was a sad attempt and not even comparable to the delicious authentic Indian food found in Surrey. I'd love him to go up there and learn there pricing system and recipes, he could learn a lot. They charge less with bigger portions and the food is 5x better. It's like comparing Taco Bell to real authentic Mexican food, there's too much that is wrong to find anything that is right. Their food is excellent. I had the Tikka Masalla and it was flavorful, fresh, and just all around satisfying. My girlfriend had the Palak Paneer and felt the same way. The staff was very friendly and more than accommodating. He was giving out samples of their desserts, which is how we bought a half pound of their pistachio dessert. Which was also delicious. The dining area was clean and comfortable. Parking is a bit haggard, but when you share a lot with 3 other businesses, one of which is a 7-11, you can't expect a spacious parking lot. Really, the only complaint, and I am really reaching here, is the wait to get your food. But here's the thing: all of their food is made from scratch and to order. Went there based on the yelp reviews and it was the worst Indian place we've ever eaten. The goat curry was tough completely undercooked and I realize goat is mostly bone but this had almost no meat on it. The rice biryani was spicy for spicy sake not flavors sake and worse yet the spices tasted burnt. We left it uneaten. We were really hoping we had found an Indian restaurant near our new home that we could add to our eating out rotation but this place is definitely Not it. We'll have to drive down to South Center or West Seattle for good Indian food until we find something else. read more

Butter chicken is good, Goat curry is actually great but the bone is a bit much :( Tandori chicken is seasoned and cooked well.. not freshly made so it's not quite piping hot unfortunately. Naan bread is excellent here.. very tasty! I've ordered the lamb vindaloo (though they stopped offering a full menu for lunch now, u can still call and request it though). it's solid too The downside is: - a touch expensive for lunch (11-12 dollars vs 9 bucks) - parking is bad.. but that's really more 7-11 being greedy A-holes and claiming 11 spots, 7 of which are perpetually empty. Cute, clean little place tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. We decided to try it for dinner last night. What a pleasant surprise! I don't rate places at 5 stars very often, but this place deserves it. Some of the best Indian food we've had in this area--and we've had a lot! Nice selection of both vegetarian and dishes with chicken, lamb, goat or shrimp--your choice. The menu is not as extensive as some places I've been, but quite enough for a nice selection. We ordered three dishes, which came with rice, and also garlic naan and some raita on the side. Everything we ordered, without exception was fresh, hot and delicious. The spicing was nice and subtle at two stars--not super-spicy, but definitely not bland either. The chicken dish was nice and creamy and the meat was tender. The dal and the eggplant dishes were extra delicious. Had to stop ourselves from continuing to eat them after we knew we were already full. The lady who helped us (I believe she is the owner, along with her husband) was friendly and gracious, and happy to answer any questions. The place was quite busy with lots of takeout orders while we were there and she was working in the front alone, but she still gave us lovely service despite being so busy at the counter as well. I love trying new places, as we often do. We've run into a few clunkers lately, so it was so nice to come across this place and have it be a big winner! Reasonable prices, delicious food and friendly service, and you can tell they really care about the quality of the food they serve. It's not super high on ambience, if that matters to you, with lots of takeout orders going out. But I'll take great food over ambiance any day, and it is definitely clean and pleasant at the least. It's also nice that they stay open until 9:30 pm, as my husband gets home later in the evening. What a great find! I highly recommend Curries. Perfection! The food is cooked to order, the chicken was juicy and tender. All the flavors were exquisite. We were able to enjoy the 2 appetizers, relax talk and have a nice time while our made to order dinner cooked. The appetizer called Samosas was a flaky pastry stuffed with spiced potatoes and peas My husband had the Aloo Tikki which was spiced potato cutlets with tamarind and mint chutneys. They were both tasty. My eggplant with naan was yummy. My husband's chicken was well cooked and both flavorful and juicy. Try the mango smoothie. Made with real mango and all natural foods!! The parking lot for this restaurant can be a little chaotic and the area isn't the best, which is my biggest complaint. There seemed to be a lot of parking spots reserved for 7-11. There's a lot of incoming and outgoing traffic which also included a distracted driver that almost backed into my car. The owner of the restaurant was extremely friendly and seemed to really enjoy serving his food. I went with a 2 entree meal, which included the option of rice or naan. I almost went the boring route of picking butter chicken for both of my entrees but he convinced me to try the other dishes. They were all pretty flavorful and tasty. I still favor the Clay Pit in Mill Creek but would go back to this place considering it's proximity and friendly service. read more

We were driving home from a road trip and decided we wanted Indian food. We have not eaten at this establishment or in this area before. Several Indian restaurants to choose from, but we chose Currys because of the number of reviews and the high ratings. First off, we have eaten our share of Indian food!! We love authentic Indian food with the right amount of spice and flavor. We chose the chicken tika masala and the Malai Kofta. At first, we were a bit disappointed as we noticed the Malai kofta was in a yellow curry sauce instead of the traditional red cream sauce we are used to. However, we decided to give it a try and it was quite delicious!! Definitely not your typical kofta sauce. But it was packed with quite a bit of spice and flavor that left me wanting more! As far as the chicken tikka masala... It was the traditional red sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very flavorful.. not as rich and heavy as other places we've had this at. We also got the samosas as an appetizer, and they were quite delectable!!! We wish we had two orders! We also tried the naan that had the spicy potatoes inside...it was YUM-O!!
