Thoroughly disappointed in the service at Curley's. My husband had taken in 4 shirts, 2 brand new and 2 others. They were messed up during the cleaning by another item and my husband was told they would try and fix them. Whatever they did to them didn't work so then new shirts were to be purchased. He received 2 new shirts, both the same color after being asked to go directly to the website and purchase exact replacement shirts. My husband took 1 of his original shirts home because the spot is relatively hidden when it's buttoned. It's been 2 months later and he is still waiting on the final shirt, after being told they are still trying to fix it. Yes, accidents happen, but handling them in the appropriate way is what sets a business apart from the rest. Curly's has failed miserably. read more

The owner of this location is a complete crazy and out of pocket, business owner. He was very rude when dealing with their return and regular customers. My family has been using this cleaner for at least 25 years and we are not talking about a shirt here or a shirt there. We usually bring 6 to 12 items a week. And this guy has the audacity to tell my mother in law that she is finally wearing a mask and taking Covid serious? That she stated she thought this that and another about it and has never worn a mask. This all came from out of the blue, as she wears a mask all day for their job and always wears a mask with no problem at their cleaners. She was shocked, appalled, and out right embarrassed how she was treated. How can you be so rude and accusatory to someone that did none of the things mentioned. She tried to kindly advise he had the wrong person but he rudely told her no and continued to accuse her and talk down to her. After 25 years you will no longer have any business from our family and I hope that you change your rude and accusatory was. Don't be rude to anyone that is paying you for a service and helping you pay your bills specially a regular customer. Shame on you. read more

My parents have been going here forever, even before the current owners were ... well, the current owners. I love the service there and you get the prepaid discount of 5% as mentioned before. You can't beat that. I bring all my work clothes here and they always do a great job. Plus, they do alterations there as well for a very decent price. I had some pockets put into my pants recently (I am a bartender and keep my "tools" in my back right pocket) and they only charged 8 dollars. That is a great deal. read more

I used to take my cleaning to Judy's and was constantly appalled at the prices there. So, I decided to check out the place right around the corner from my house, Curlys. The staff have always been very friendly, the prices are amazing, and everything comes out looking great! This is the best and most reasonable cleaner you will find in Fair Oaks. They have done a great job of cleaning my wool coats and getting spots out for me. I also had her hem a pair of my expensive work pants and they looked great as well. I had two vintage dresses that weren't priceless, but I needed to find a regular dry cleaner for similar items, so I took this place as a test run-- and they did do a decent job making some old stains lighter. My mistake was failing to ask about their pressing methods - though I assumed they'd know how to handle them. (To be fair, I have not asked them to remedy the situation, so I added back a star to the review.) One dress was smooth satin with no major wrinkling when it went in, but when I got it back, the whole dress was covered with a slightly embossed pattern of small dots a few inches apart (from a large machine press) and they did sloppy job hand pressing the details. The other dress dress was made of silk fabric that was entirely tiny pleats stitched down in rows - they pressed or hand-ironed lots of the pleats wrong, so they folded back on themselves. I didn't see these flaws in the store, inside the plastic and under dim lighting, but on reveal at home, it was clear they had done as much harm as good to the dresses - at $15 a pop. They may fine for work shirts, basics, etc., but I wouldn't bring my wedding dress here...or anything else that requires special attention. read more

All i can say is PERFECTION. i dropped my garments off on Monday and they were ready by 4pm on Tuesday. NOT RECOMMENDED!! Do not use Curly's Cleaner's, especially for clothes you really care about. This place lost an expensive coat that I brought in to be cleaned, and the owner showed total disregard for the situation. I lost my receipt, which was a huge mistake on my part, but the owner said he had no record of me bringing my coat in. He told me 3 times that he would look through his records for a receipt and give me a call, but he never did. When I came in to inquire about my jacket, he had the most unconcerned, flippant attitude. It made me so angry, especially the 3rd time! How could he have no record of me coming in? Why lie to my face about trying to help me? 3 Times!! This is poor business to the extreme. Now I am out my favorite jacket and there's nothing I can do about it. Hang on to those receipts, people! Although I like to support ma and pop businesses, I'm sticking with the larger chains when it comes to dry cleaning. I was warned about small dry cleaners, and I should have listened. *The only reason I've given Curly's a star is because it wouldn't post unless I put something in that field. read more

They have lost two of my Tommy Bahama shirts. I got the wrong shirt one time and know that who ever got mine came out ahead. Second one was brand new - a linen TB and I never wore it - wanted to get it cleaned and pressed. They lost it. Told me they knew who has it and they'd get it. Well two more trips in (over a period of 5 weeks) to retrieve shirt and no luck. Last time I told the owner to give me $100 and I'd be out. Said he'd mail a check and I'd have it on Monday.
