To be completely honest, I was so disappointed in Baking Wahines in Bremerton since 3 of the 4…read moreitems I purchased seemed like they were 2-3 days old. Both the Long John and Puffer were super old and stale, maybe 1 to 2 days old. Had to toss both of them after one bite. I was told the Gau was made on Tuesday night, which makes it 3 days old now. I even tried putting the items in the microwave (per the owner's advice) for 15 seconds and it still didn't taste good. I've honestly never been told by any bakery to go home and put their donuts and pastries in the microwave ‍ Why would a bakery even sell 1 to 3 day old items? Just donate them to the homeless or something BUT don't sell them for full price to your customers! I mean come on... I even reached out to the owner via Instagram and she came at me with all the excuses saying things like "I am sorry you're not happy with your purchase" and "I really don't know what you would like to do here." No resolution and/or refund was even offered. So disappointed in this place. I really wanted to like it too! Lesson Learned. I will NOT be coming back here.

It's an adorable small shop nestled near the Kitsap Convention Center entrance. The pastries and all the food is made fresh daily! They have the Hawaiian Bentos with spam, and the roll was delicious! We needed a custom cake with only a week to find a baker and Nostalgia House Bakery pulled it off…read moreamazingly. Most custom cake bakeries want much more advance notice but Nostalgia House only needed 48 hours. The people at the bakery were very responsive to both my phone calls and messages via their Facebook page. Everyone at the party loved the design and flavor of the cake, Lemon cake with strawberry filling. The bakery literally said we could do any flavor so tons of options available to you. Arrived at the bakery on a Saturday around 10am and they had my cake ready to go and it was great. Also a fair price. I will say if you are going to this bakery looking for pastries on Saturday...go early. When I got there at 10 they were cleaned out. It's a nice space clean, quiet and cozy. Didn't really notice much seating though.

Had some time in Port Orchard and made a stop at Nostalgia Bakery to check it out. While making…read moresome choices I selected a breakfast burrito with egg and sausage. On the one hand there is nothing extra like onions or peppers it is loaded with eggs and tasty pork sausage. The tortilla was very good, not too thick but thin and tender. Even though I was hungry it was difficult to finish the large burrito. I would definitely come back just for the burrito. I tried a blueberry streusel muffin- didn't care for it, seemed dry and lacked blueberries. The muffin itself had a yellow cake like batter and the streusel lacked sweetness or flavor. I also chose a Carmel pecan roll. It was much more to my liking, especially after I warmed it up. It was much like my grandmother used to make. Soft, nice amount of topping. Finally I tried a mini sourdough loaf . Made toast with it and it was tasty, toasted up nice. I will come back to try some of the other treats they have- and definitely another burrito!!

Neither photos nor words do justice to how good it is! The truffles, let's just focus on those - they are works of art. Hands down some of the most beautifully made - and delicious - that I have ever had the pleasure of trying. A smooth shiny glass like finish. The cherry one has a little cherry stem coming out the bottom (cute - and informative); the pistachio one has pistachios embedded artistically in the top like a volcano. They are just incredible. We didn't go inside yet as I mentioned our family has been going here for a long time and the way they tell it the service is great. Highly recommend for a quick treat, for a treat to savor for more than just a bite, for gifts, or for yourself.

It was pretty good, I think sugar crystals were added because I tasted them and it was pretty sweet. Which I didn't mind because I enjoy sweetness. I came back the next day and tried to order the same thing, cashier took a pause and said we ran out of matcha. I didn't mind because I knew they were quite busy the day before. So I ordered a caramel macchiato, which was okay. The place is a bit crowded with furniture but there's a side room that is spacious for sitting and chatting. It is quite loud both times I was in. They have scoop ice cream in the back if you're around town and just wanted ice cream. I have yet to try their food. Overall it's quite nice.
