I'm really disappointed with how far this place has fallen off. This used to be my favorite spot for cupcakes, but the last few times I've visited, the quality just hasn't been there. Several flavors--including the cherry cheesecake, wedding cake, and princess--were dry and lacked the moistness I used to love. The carrot cake was so soggy it tasted underdone. What surprised me most was the owner's response after I shared my feedback with an employee. She actually called me, but instead of trying to make it right, she told me nothing had changed with the recipe and maybe the ovens just needed calibrating. No offer to replace the cupcakes or even a simple apology. In my experience, a caring owner would have at least offered a refund or replacement to make things right. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel like customer satisfaction is a priority here anymore. My family and I will take our business elsewhere. I decided to check and sure enough the owner changed around the time I started having a poor experience here. FYI, Maybe you are over mixing your batter and it's not the oven. read more

I used Cupcakes & More for my wedding cake, mini cupcakes, and mini cheesecakes. The staff was fantastic to work with, and the desserts were delicious! We were able to sample all the flavors we were interested in, which was appreciated as other places make you pay for each flavor you sample. Also, they give you a complimentary one-year anniversary cake so you don't have to save your top layer - I'm counting down the days to have the lemon cake again! Highly recommend! read more

After being a loyal customer for YEARS and purchasing hundreds, possibly thousands, of dollars of their cupcakes and cakes, we will never be back. EVER. The staff have extremely poor customer service, horrendous attitude, and communication skills. We tried to redeem cupcakes off of our reward point card, and they told us they got rid of the entire system and had sent out emails. ---- Side note: We have spent hundreds of dollars on this place. We purchased cakes, cupcakes, special orders, birthday cakes, brownie shots, etc. ---- We had not ever received a single email, single phone call, text, NOTHING. Absolutely no notice at all. After telling them about the situation politely, the rude and disgruntled saleswoman just brushed us off and implied we leave. I've never encountered this ridiculous behavior. If this doesn't deter you, the quality of their cupcakes has DEFINITELY worsened-- tastes like my 5 year old niece trying to make cupcakes from a boxed mix...... read more

Very disappointed. First and last time using this bakery. This business claims they accept orders via Facebook messenger, phone, or email. So I sent them a FB messenger order 2 weeks before I needed my son's birthday cake. I was messaged back that this was absolutely possible and it would be ready to go at the time I selected on the set date. I responded back right away with a time window as to when I would pick it up. I even messaged them back a couple days later with more ideas for the cake, saw that the message was received, but heard nothing back. I thought that seemed odd, but I let it go. As a curtesy to them, I even messaged them with a reminder the day before I was to pick up my cake. Again, I could see that they had received the message, but again did not respond to it. I showed up the following day to pick up my cake, only to be met by two clueless employees who had no idea what I was talking about. They scurried around the bakery and came back with news that, "Oh no, our boss never made an order sheet for this FB messenger cake order." So the cake was never even made! They told me they could probably get started on it and have it made by 3pm that day. Obviously frustrated, I asked my husband to come inside. He told the employees that this was not our problem, and this cake was promised to us at this time. They said they would make it and deliver it to us. They did follow through on this, and it was sent to our home that afternoon. Although I will say the design was pretty cute, and mostly what I had in mind, the cake itself was just plain bad. The flavor was bland and almost tasteless. Many other reviews have mentioned how their cake tasted like a box mix - absolutely correct, except a box mix has more flavor. And our whole family noticed how the edges of the cake were "crunchy" due to being burnt. Evidence of this was hidden under the frosting, but was very noticeable. We were still charged a $40 fee for a tasteless, rushed-to-create cake that was never made on time. I will never ever return to this bakery and I will share my story with others! read more

Rude and unhelpful. I called a day ahead to order 2 dozen cupcakes. I was told they were too busy to take the order, but that I could come in person and pick out 2 dozen cupcakes. When I went to the store, they would not let me buy more than 3 cupcake flavors for my 2 dozen order. The woman was short and unaccommodating. It was my first time trying this bakery and it will certainly be my last. Lincoln has great bakeries and customer service but NOT at this store. read more

Their menu listed 14 total flavors but only 8 of them were available on a Friday. Each flavor came in 3 sizes - $1 minis, $2.25 regulars, and $3 jumbos. I purchased a regular-sized Red Velvet and found it to be perfectly moist. Unfortunately, the flavor reminded me of something out of a Betty Crocker box. All in all, good for sudden cupcake cravings but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Service could also use a little improvement. read more

The cupcakes are pretty to look at, but in terms of flavor, they are rather average. They are very sweet (too sweet for my taste) and one-dimensional (although we bought a dozen, the only difference between the cupcakes we could tell was between the white and chocolate frosting). Much like a different reviewer posted here, my wife commented that the cupcakes tasted like something you would buy from a grocery store or make from a Betty Crocker Box. Although I appreciated the moistness of the cupcakes, their lack of flavor (beyond sweetness) leads me to go back to Le Cupcake, which produces outstanding cupcakes. read more

I enjoy getting their coupons in the mail to use when I stop in. My favorite is without a doubt the Lemon cupcake, while my boyfriend loves the German chocolate! Our family loves cupcakes and more!! The cupcakes are amazing (the wedding cake flavor is my favorite, as are the cheesecake and lemon sunshine ones). There are 3 different sizes of each flavor, so perfect for everyone, whether you want a bite or to really indulge ;). They also do amazing cakes at an affordable price. They've created several cakes for birthdays for my kiddos and are always able to recreate what I ask them to. Also, I know they used to have dairy free options, and that is so wonderful for people who have intolerances or just prefer to avoid dairy. Very good cupcakes. Love the cookie dough they have on Friday's. Love the different size cupcakes they offer. I have also had different groupons they have offered. I used one at Christmas time. They were a big hit, and decorated so pretty. The only thing I really did not like was ..they had a place on the credit card for a tip. I don't think a tip is necessary. Grocery stores don't have places for tips. Why should cupcake stores? Over all.. I have tried 5 cupcake stores in Lincoln. This cupcake store is be of my two favorites. . read more

The cupcakes taste like they are made from box mixes that you can pick up from any store- Betty Crocker mixes are sold about anywhere. The frosting was tastey but nothing special. I was disapointed because I was expecting something homemade and gourmet not something that I can make myself- I can add flavoring to box mixes too i.e. I can add amaretto to vanilla mixes. The price is not worth it considering you are getting cupcakes that taste like box mixes. read more

I went in and bought 12 mini cupcakes today, in order to get multiple flavors. The flavors are good for the basics (strawberry, lemon, chocolate, orange) but the specialties are nothing exciting (butterfinger, peanut butter cup). Even red velvet seemed dry. I had cupcakes from here a year or two ago and loved them but now they seem subpar. They are definitely not worth the price ($1.50/mini $2.75/regular $3.75 Jumbo). I think the frosting is rather gross. It has a weird flavor to all of them. I enjoy store bought more!! Much more flavor from store bought flavors in a box/can for both cupcakes and frosting. The customer service is subpar as well. I always feel like a bother. Don't get me wrong they weren't rude, just not friendly and welcoming like I expect from a bakery. I thought about getting a cake ball but when I saw they were half the size of my homemade Oreo Balls and they cost $1.25, it was not worth the cost once again. read more

The prices are a little steep, but I think the presentation and taste make up for it. It's a great little splurge to do something like for yourself or someone else. I wanted to really like this place, especially considering it's close by my house and I frequently buy cupcakes for work events, social gatherings, and my daughter's parties. However, the price is ASTRONOMICAL compared to the quality and I completely agree with previous reviews about the taste. I bought several dozen for a work party and about keeled over when I heard the total. Maybe I should've asked the price before purchasing! They taste comparable to a marginal grocery store cake but at around 3-4 times the cost. Not worth it. I also would note that the girl running the counter was not overly helpful or friendly. Sad to report negatively, I just hope the owners take this review to heart and find a way to either reduce their prices or provide a better product. I will also note, I have not been to the other cupcake specialty stores in Lincoln, so I am solely reviewing this business against their own product and services. read more
