I haven't met a pastry, cake or pie from the Gratitude Cafe that I didn't truly love. Selection…read moreranges from scones and the ever-popular Breakfast Cookie to brownies, coffee cakes, cookies, pies, and very special treats for the evening customers, including wonderful entrees and die-for desserts. The beverages include Mexican and American sodas, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and local beer and wines. In addition, there is a selection of international clothing and nick-knacks, make-it-at-home food packs from the Women's Bean Project, as well as chips, honey, etc. etc. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there is local music presented by some of Lincoln's finest musicians including Laurie McClain, Dr. John Walker, C. A. Waller, Chris Sayre, and others. Although there is no door charge, a purchase is required to attend so that the venue may continue to host fine artists. On the fourth Saturday of the month, a Writer's Night features excellent local writers in a performance format. Advertised as a "homespun" bakery, the Gratitude Cafe & Bakery makes its customers feel at home, caters to vegetarian tastes, and offers everyone "free hugs." A virtual unknown, this little cafe & bakery was voted among the top five bakeries in Lincoln and is a great local favorite.

They did remake it and gave me another one for no charge. Some drinks are seasonal. We ordered a croissant sandwich that was wrapped in foil and cold. We didn't ask if they had a microwave to warm it up. Ambiance is 5 stars. They had kid games, including a big Guess Who. If I lived closer I would be here weekly.

Rose Cat Coffee in Lincoln is a sweet little coffee shop with a wonderful mission and...books!…read moreI didn't get a chance to look at the books but will certainly do so on a future visit. The reading area has inviting chairs just waiting to be used. The inclusive mission of providing a supportive work experience for those with special needs is obviously at play here with a little bit of confusion at the ordering counter that ensued on our visit. Everything worked out and my friend and I enjoyed coffee and an early lunch. We both ordered drip coffee and were offered cold brew as well. We both had cream poured into our coffees until we said stop. I think the decaf and regular coffee may have been switched around, but the workers tried so hard to get it right. I had a sausage and egg breakfast burrito in a crispy flour tortilla, while my friend had an Italian sandwich. Hers came piping hot, too hot to eat for a few minutes. She enjoyed the Black Forest ham, pepperoni, salami, mozzarella, and pesto on a toasty ciabatta roll, served with crispy potato chips. Although we just had brewed coffee, there are a lot of fancy drinks, coffee-based and other non-coffee libations. Pair those with one of the many pastry and sweet choices. You'll be back for more!

We have been in Lincoln for four days and yet to find a place that served espresso drinks the way I…read morewanted them. And that had a good flavor of coffee. I tried The Mill, it was tolerable. I tried Meadowlark coffee too. It was tolerable, but not good. Being from Kansas City, I did not realize how fortunate I am to have several spots with their own blend of beans, and freshly air roasted beans while you wait. But I'm so glad we stayed an extra day because we came across Cultiva Coffee. It was about 10 minutes from our hotel and it was so worth it. They also had a seasonal crêpe that had strawberries and chocolate ganache. It was so good. No, it was excellent. My husband and I almost fought over the last bite. But we were certainly measuring up the size of the bites. Lol the atmosphere was so cute and original. I absolutely loved it. I took a minute to tell them how much I appreciated them before I left, but I'm also telling you now. In addition to the Coffee, I appreciated the Service. When I ordered, the young lady never made me feel like I needed to hurry with what I was gonna say or that I wanted too many details. I appreciate this as an older person. I get tired of the impatience of young people these days and she was very kind. And the person who made the drink, made it perfectly to my liking. Not too hot to where I had to wait to drink it, but not just warm like it had been cooling off. I admit, I am very critical when it comes to my cappuccino. That's why I make it at home most the time so I can have it the way I want it. So a place that checked all the boxes is rare to me. If you try this place, I hope you have the same experience.

Cultiva coffee is my new favorite coffee and breakfast place in Lincoln! Omg. The coffee quality is…read moreso good. I immediately knew after taking my first sip. I told the barista how I like my coffee, which is strong, iced and sweet. I also told her I was debating between the dirty Barcelona and iced Cuban. She recommended the dirty Barcelona and it did not disappoint. However I will say it was a little too sweet for me. I'll have to try the iced Cuban next time. Nonetheless, the coffee was absolutely delicious. I finished it quickly. In addition to the amazing coffee here, I trulyenjoyed their food!! They specialize in crepes, savory and sweet, omelettes, and pancakes! Don't sleep on their food y'all. I ended up ordering a build -your-own meal which consisted of a bagel, eggs, cream cheese, and three sides; salsa, chipotle mayo and sausage. Let's just say I ate and left no crumbs. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Frfr. My toddler got the apple pie pastry, also a 10 out of 10!! There are board games and coloring pages for kiddos. Plus merchandise and coffee beans available for purchase. There's lots of seating inside and street parking outside. I'm definitely coming back here with more people and plan to spread the word about this amazing spot. 1000 out of 10 recommend. :)
