I'm going to preface this by saying that we normally LOVE CupBop! However, a couple weeks ago my husband and I decided to grab it for dinner. We haven't been inside the door of any restaurant or grocery store since March due to Covid, but *nervously* we decided to make an exception. I called in the pickup order and waited the 20 minutes before going in and grabbing it. One family in line and they had not started the order. A huge bummer given how nervous I was to be in there. We ordered two of the two meat cups and when I got home neither entree had the chicken on it. I called a couple times and the phone rang and rang with no answering machine. Their food truck came to our work today and the whole company grabbed a cup. Super friendly staff and an awesome spice scale from one to ten. I got an 8 and it brought the heat! You can combine two types of meat in your cups and have a choice between lettuce or cabbage to mix with the sauces, meats, and rice. Simple menu but it is all customizable to how you would like your bowl. And the amount you get for the price is pretty substantial. read more

The flavors were off. We were excited to try their food, but were very much let down. The sweet potato noodles are too thick and taste/look like a sticky hand (cheap toy you get from the dentist). We kept heading rave reviews about noodle bowls, of all things, and I couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about...and then I ate here. They're so delicious! The sauces are all tasty, and I liked being able to choose my level of heat. I loved having a few options re: rice, noodles, proteins. I'm picky about carbs, and being able to customize exactly what goes into my bowl makes this perfect for me. And everything was so flavorful! CupBop... ok the name had me totally intrigued! I am super happy the hubby pulled over to eat here. First I walking in, the restaurant is easy on the eyes and very clean. Our server was super friendly and informative. Since we have never been here before he explained the menu real quick without confusing us. Everything, literally everything on the menu is freaking AMAZING! First bite was a pot sticker. Best freakin pot sticker I have ever had. The combination of the meat, rice, and noodles (which are sweet potato noodles, but you would have no clue because it just tastes like a regular noodle to me!) was perfect! And when you think it can't get any better, you're wrong! You have ten different sauce options to choose from. I got a level 5 which is the same as the sracha and mayo sauce from sushi joints. The Korean bbq sauce is so amazing too. Then you have the option to add some sesame seeds on top! Sooooo delicious! My husband and I are excited that we found a new go to spot. Chicken on top of perfect noodles and I added cabbage for crunch. The truth is..I ordered another to go for the next day for lunch with the beef..I can't tell you enough how the#4 sauce with that creamy crack lime mayo stuff made my taste buds happy. Wanted to try something new while we were in town. Service was fast and friendly! Food was tasty, but not much like any Korean I've ever had before. Maybe it's not supposed to be?! We felt the sauce was a little heavy handed, but my kiddos loved the tofu and everyone enjoyed their meals. I was really craving Korean bbq and when I passed by this place I felt like trying it. So I decided to have it for din with my bf and I was really disappointed:( I am from San Diego , Ca and I have tried multiple Korean bbq places and most of them were the type where they give you the raw, marinated meat and you cook it yourself. This place the meat is already cooked and there are a handful of options and yes it did taste okay , BUT it did not taste anything like Korean bbq. I got the bulgolgi and it seriously tasted like cooked meat that was flavored with soy sauce and honestly this place is seriously Americanized food. The staff are super friendly and helpful, however I wouldn't go here again. I wish Boise had a Korean Bbq place that tasted authentic. read more

Their food is great!! They give you a huge portion and they're really friendly. The only advice I'd give for this location is to avoid the lunch rush. The high schoolers tend to come and pack up the place at 11. The girl was so nice though, she even gave me double the portion of mandoo for free. I've had CupBop a couple of times and have enjoyed it. My favorite part is their sweet potato noodles, they are so yummy! So essentially with this type of restaurant you choose what protein you'd want and then also go from their menu as well. My favorite is their fried chicken! After choosing your protein you can choose whether you'd like lettuce or cabbage, and then what sauces. The reason I docked a star is because their food isn't as warm or hot as you would like your food to be, another thing is since it's in a cup it can be hard to get a bite of everything at once. This review is for the store location: We visited the new store location in Meridian on 11/30/17 located by the Sports Clips and ATT store. This store is a Korean fast food type of place. We ordered two kids cups (rice, sweet potato noodles, chicken, a dumpling and sauce) and a two meat cup (pork and beef) with rice, sweet potato noodles, cabbage, a dumpling, combo of sauce mix (level 3/10) with kimchi. We liked the different flavors and uniqueness of the bowls. My kids favorite part was actually the sweet potato noodles which are transparent in color. They are somewhat picky, so I was surprised that they both liked an item I thought they would pick out. The kids were encouraged to use a few to turn into shapes while eating by one of the workers which kept them busy while we ate. I really enjoyed the noodles and the flavor of them. I highly recommend grabbing some kimchi to mix in with the meal. The store itself has great seating areas (and a lot of them), many big and bright windows, vibrant colors, loud music and a very loud and inviting staff. They walked us through their options and sauces since it was our first time, and when I tipped them at the end, they all yelled a company phrase and then added an extra dumpling to my bowl. I liked the location as it is right off of Chinden and Linder in the Fred Meyer shopping block, and allows something different than the standard McDonald hamburger or Subway sandwich. I was really happy the kids finished their bowls and wanted more of the noodles. It's a very simple menu so the flow of traffic is fast, and yet there are 10 different levels of sweet/spicy sauces that allow customization. It is reasonably priced and the servings will easily fill you up. I would definitely recommend trying this new type of fast food and support a new local business in our neighborhood. read more

Very mediocre Korean food, but maybe they are trying for some kind of fusion approach, in which case, it's mediocre fusion food. I got the B Bop cup, which is beef and noodles, and it was edible. The heat level at 8 was pretty spicy, but the flavor just wasn't there. I've had the real thing in Seoul, and Korean food can be awesome. It's very fast in Meridian, especially since there was no one ordering ahead of me. The choices were limited, but if it had been good that would have been ok. Not planning a return visit. read more

The staff were unprofessional, the counters behind them had their person staff drinks on them, trash and old noodles they had wiped off of dirty tables with a dirty rag sitting on the serving station. Hubby asked me what I would like for lunch, and of course I said CupBop. He had Ugly Pop Bop with butter garlic sauce, and I had Doochi Bop with sweet chili sauce. My tofu was perfect, crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Both were good, but next time I'm going to ask for no rice and extra cabbage in place of the rice. I've been to CupBob a couple of times and have been fully satisfied every single time. The prices are a little high, however the amount of food they give you almost guarantees leftovers.They have plenty of options to find the perfect Korean dish for each person. The customizable level of spiciness allowed me to have the perfect meal without it being bland or overly hot. The atmosphere of the restaurant may not be for all, but I found it hip and easy to dine and spend time in. I'm already looking forward to my next meal there. read more
