They ended up deciding to give us pork and rock chicken as substitutes, and I was not disappointed at all! I am grateful for the sub, the pork had delicious flavor as did the rock chicken and regular chicken. I got the sauces on the side, at a level 5 and 3. Although tasty, I didn't feel the bowl needed it so I ate it without sauce. Also opted for the Mandoo, and those were delicious as well. They included a note on our receipt that they were sorry for no beef, which I thought was a sweet, personal touch. I deducted a star as I felt the rice could have been softer, but the bowl overall was delicious and very fairly portioned for just $15. I will definitely be a returning customer! read more

Made an online order and picked up Doochibop, only to find out they didn't add sauce. As it turns out, they ran out of the sauce. Now, they could have told me that, comped my order, promised to redo my order when they could make it, *APPOLOGISE* But no, the next day, after being told to come in to "talk to Mark" about fixing the issue, he just stared at me blankly and said, "What can I do about it?" Maybe he's still as green as the poison part of a potato and didn't know how to fix it, I have my doubts when he was the same guy who was happy to keep his mouth shut and not tell me my order could not be completed as requested, and make me pay full price for it. Moving forward, I will probably need to call head to make sure I don't get what shafted, double-check my order, and make a list of employees I know will take the piss and commit to sub-par service. read more

I like the concept but really did not enjoy the sauce or meal. I got the steamed veggies and tofu bowl. The rice was hard and soaked in very sweet teriyaki like sauce. The house drizzle on top was extremely sweet. The entire meal was as sweet as dessert and I just could not finish it. read more

The serving style process is very Chipotle-like, all the options are pre-cooked, there's a menu of standard choices and they're all numbered in steps for your perfect Korean cuisine in a paper bowl. The concept is quite simple, all the taste of Korean BBQ stacked in layers for portability and speed, like a NASCAR pit-stop in a cup. With food prepared ahead of time, there's certainly a ceiling on how good it can be, but for the most part, it is competent, tasty and reasonably priced. As a person who has had the opportunity to spend time in South Korea, I really enjoy their street food. This was the first time we tried Cupbop, and it did not disappoint. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. Everything appeared to be clean. Upon entrance, the staff asked if it was our first time here and explained everything. We had the Piggy (BBQ Pork), Koko (BBQ Chicken), and Krunch (Katso Chicken). We all enjoyed our food. The portions were ample, and I enjoyed that they offer a military discount I also like the range of sauced from 1 the mildest which my wife likes and I had the level seven. I did not enjoy this at all. The ordering process was not clear at all. Then for a panda express style setup. All the food had lids on it with no labels so I had to ask so many questions and was getting fed up because I could barely hear the girl. So I ended up just getting 3 combo bops cos it was easy. We went with the 4 bowl combo with 12 mandoo. It's an amazing deal. You're basically getting one bowl free The staff were friendly, helpful and patient in walking us through all the protein and sauce options. We love how you can customize so many different options. I received an email with an offer for their new Korean chicken wings, but wanted to be sure that it was accepted at this location so before we ordered I asked and was told that yes, they would honor the deal. We placed our order and paid. While waiting for our food I noticed that the bill was higher than I expected so I went back to the register and asked them to double check my purchase and that I was given the discounted prices. Come to find out the person behind the counter never gave me the sale price. When I enquired about it she asked her co-worker "Do we even have this deal?" I specifically asked her before ordering and she confirmed! There were no other customers after me so how did she forget so quickly!?! Let alone didn't have any more chicken options and we're no longer cooking any more food even though there was a full lobby of people.. They were out of it so the person working the counter had given me a free Mondo card with Mondo crossed out and ramyun put in place of it. I went to the counter today and there was a red-headed guy and I asked him about it if they had any ramen and he said we've never sold any rambien and I showed him my card and he shrugged his shoulders and said well we've never sold Rome yet or any kind of ramen here and that says mandu and I said I understand that but this is the situation that happened and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. First time coming here and it did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. Since it was our first time, they were kind enough to give us one free pan fried dumpling (which was super delicious and I'll definitely order more the next time I visit). I got the Rock Bop Bowl (which they expressed that it's one of their most popular bowls) and it was delicious! It comes with rice, noodles, cabbage and fried chicken. The spicy level 8 was a pretty good amount of spicy-ness (coming from someone who can handle their spice) and I think I'd get this level next time as well! The bowl was very filling (for me) and I could only eat half, and the rest I ate later. We went on a Monday around opening time and there was a handful of people already there eating and in line but we got served quickly. The only reason I gave 4 stars and one thing to be aware of, is the prices! Pricey. Decent food. Would satisfy many. I had the combo and chose the beef and the Crunchy Chicken, which is a battered chicken tenderloin. It was in a sweet, mayo sauce with a bit of spice. Tasted OK. The beef wasn't really tender, it wasn't tough, but it wasn't tender, either. I had a really big piece of fat/gristle that I couldn't eat. Underneath are the noodles and the rice and veggies. Those were good, especially since the sauce soaks into it. However, the bowls or cups are such that I had to put the meat into the cover because otherwise the rice and noodles were inaccessible. If you don't want to eat your rice and noodles with your meat, not a biggie. But I like to eat my rice and noodles with the entree. The fried mandoo was so so. A bit dry. definitely not like the way I can cook them. The food is fine, it's OK. You will probably like it. I won't be going out of my way to eat there, however. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. This last time I went the employees working seemed super apathetic and overall the the place seemed poorly managed. The food was cold and stale which made me feel like the employees do not care about whether the food is fresh and kept at temperature to avoid any foodborne illnesses. The place was pretty dirty, no clean tables. For my meal being almost $40 for 2 including a tip, the whole experience was just disappointing. Don't think I'll be back here. I reluctantly tried this place because first impressions and first interactions were not up to par. When I walked in and looked through the glass food protector and separator it was smudged with liquid droplets of splashed food. I ended up walking across parking lot to bank. When you order you get a base to start with: rice, noodles, vegetables. After the base you order your protein and pick your spice level. I tried the Korean BBQ. The meat was tender and the spice level I chose was perfect a combo of sriracha sauce and a yellow spicy mayo type dressing. The noodles and rice were ok. I added a side of the kimchi and asked if it's made fresh they said it's made in Korea and flown straight to store. Decided to try the KKO KKO Bop because I didn't want something fried, the Korean BBQ sauce on the chicken had good flavor but was rarely noticeable because it was soaked in the spicy sauce. Ordered the 7.5 level of spice AKA the CupBop Special, it was definitely spicy even for me and I enjoy spice! Overall, if I were in the area I'd go back. Order less noodles and extra veg as well as opt for the sauce on the side so I can choose how much I'd like. The team working was nice and fast. They let me know that on your first visit you're supposed to get a free Mandoo (deep-fried potsticker) on top of your bowl, but when I got home to eat they had forgotten it. Kind of a bummer! I was hoping the vibe inside would be more fun but it felt a bit like a mall food court, could just be this location but it was a little dark inside you could tell it's a chain resturant. Also - DO NOT SHAKE YOUR BOWL. I've been to this location twice since it opened because I love it!!! I've gotten the Korean beef and the rock chicken. Both are delicious. I usually order a combo. I like the sauce at 7.5 it's not too hot not too spicy it's about the same spice level as buffalo sauce. The staff is extremely friendly and they try to keep the environment fun and interact with the customers a lot while you're in line it's set up kind of like chipotle style where you order at one side and pick up your bowl prepared at the other. Nothing is spicy until the end when you add the sauce so if you're afraid of any spice level, you don't have to add any at all. I think it'll do really well in this location. I believe they give you something extra for it being your first time in. Because I've never been in, they explained the menu so I didn't feel out of place. As a vegetarian, I had many options including vegetables and tofu. I ordered double protein with extra tofu. It is fried, so if this is a problem, it's something to be aware of. I had been wanting to check this place out for a few years now, and I am glad that I did. I believe that I first heard about it from the Student Insider coupon magazine that is given out at the beginning of the semester across campus during undergrad. The staff were very friendly. When we were asking a few questions about the menu, they asked if it was our first time there. We answered "Yes," and they proceeded to sing a fun little jingle and gave us an extra side. Food was tasted, although I was jealous of my girlfriend's order! She got the Katsu chicken and it looked a bit better than my pork. Moreover, I like a bit of spice, so I requested 7.5/10 spice level (you choose on your order) and I think doing that washed out some of the flavor. It's the perfect level of spice without losing the flavors of all the good stuff. The simplicity, sauce, and on-the-go convenience will have me coming back for more. They offer 10 different kinds of bowls which feature your choice of protein with noodles, rice, cabbage, and your sauce. Proteins include tofu, beef, chicken, pork.
