This little shop has been my weekly guilty pleasure for several years. No really, if you want some good korean comfort food come here, please. The owner is always a delight when you enter the store and while they have a small menu that doesn't mean that their food isn't anything to sneeze at. I recommend the combo cup pop, I almost always get this, the combo of the three flavors never gets old to me. If you aren't into seafood or have an allergy go for the bulgogi cup pop, the combo of sweet and savory beef will definitely make you a believer! Also try their appetizers, the gyoza are always piping hot and delicious as is their seaweed salad and the gigantic omelette. You can thank me later. read more

A small hole in the wall restaurant located behind a gas station. It can be easy to miss. A very causal atmosphere inside with a few small tables. I almost always order to-go during lunch hour. It's not terrible busy. I've had the Spicy Bulgogi Cup and the Combo Cup (Spicy & Non Spicy Bulgogi with crab meat salad). The meat is tender and very flavorful. They also have Kimchi and pairs great with the food. If you want a quick Korean bbq fix this is the spot to try. read more

Wow! This is my first time here, and it most certainly won't be my last! I came here after a friend recommended it. This is the first time I've ever had Korean BBQ. I ordered the Spicy Bulgogi, with the lowest level of Spicy. If you're trying this for the first time, I definitely recommend trying the lowest first because I LOVE spicy food and my mouth is on fire and my nose is running from this! But man it's so good! Also, it says that it's served in a "cup" but this is definitely a very large bowl! The woman working here (I assume it's the owner) is so sweet and friendly! She helped me pick what to order and also has checked up on me a couple of times. Only negative aspect I can find so far is the lack of fountain drinks, so I had to pay for a bottle of water. But I'm hoping that's something that would come once they gain more popularity and business. Definitely check it out! read more

FINALLY! We finally have Korean in Murfreesboro. This place is excellent! I wish it was full Korean BBQ, but this is a great start. I had their combo with Pork, Beef, and Seafood (crab), which was EXCELLENT. The only slight complaint is that I personally wish that there was an ALL MEAT option without rice, even if it was double the price. But this is across the street from MTSU so it fits that clientele perfectly. Go check them out, you will not be disappointed! read more

Needed a quick lunch while in Murfreesboro on business but I wanted something different and "Cup Pop" delivered. For the first time eating here I opted for the combo cup and it gave a little sample of a lot--rice, noodles, bulgogi, chicken, dumplings--and it was all flavorful, fresh, spicy and good. I would certainly come back if in the area. If I lived near I'd likely get carry out quite often as there were good meat and meatless options. Dining in was simple with enough room for those of us there that day at least and there's plenty of parking. Nothing "fancy" inside of course, this is a quick in and out kind of place but the energy and time went into the food. So prepare to wait just a bit and you will pay a bit more than you would at a burger joint or even a Chinese carry out place at lunch time. read more

I ordered the combo cup to go. For some reason I was thinking a small cup full of food but it was a good size bowl. It was good and so is the price. You get plenty if food for your money. I will have to xlmr back and try the other bowls. read more

Very quaint restaurant where the quality of the food speaks for itself. The staff is very cordial, and work to ensure you are satisfied. If I had one critique, it would be that the amount of Korean meats in the cups are too small to really get the full flavor. Wish they offered more than just the cups. read more

I came here never having tried Korean BBQ and not quite sure what to expect. What I discovered is that I Love Korean BBQ and more specifically I love this place. The woman who helped me very patiently walked me through the menu explaining what everything was and making recommendations. Once I selected the dish I wanted she offered to tailor the spiciness of the meal to my preference. The food was delicious! Unlike anything I've ever tried before and super flavorful. I had the spicy bulgogi prepared with a spice level of 2/5 and it was a massive amount of food! I would hands down recommend this place to any one and will definitely be back! Also I am now hooked on Korean pop music as I just watched what has to be the Korean version of American Idol while I ate. read more

I don't know how Cup Pop works so well, but it does. I have no idea how mixing all of those different flavors and different textures in one bowl works, but it does. I just stopped questioning it when I find myself craving to make the 45 minute drive out to Murfreesboro for it. This is Murfreesboro's secret gem. It's tucked away in this little corner behind a gas station or something and it's nearly impossible to spot from the road due to its little sign. When you walk in, definitely not impressionable. Just a few scattered tables, a waiting bench, and some knock off k-pop posters. But don't let the decor steer you away! This is a true hole-in-the-wall establishment experience. The owner is so sweet and she was very patient with me the first time I visited because I had never been to a Korean place that mixed all these different things together. I was used to your typical sit down Korean restaurant - either a bbq place or one that served copious amounts of bonchon and special hot bowls. Nothing so fast casual like this. Needless to say, the handful of times I've visited here, I always get the same thing: the combo bowl. The combo bowl is FRICKIN' DELICIOUS. You get beef AND pork bulgogi, a crab salad, white rice, japchae noodles, lettuce, and gyoza all to mix into make this wonderful flavor explosion in your mouth. It's a little spicy, tangy, sweet, fresh, and savory all at the same time. Like I've said before, I can't even begin to explain how all the flavors and textures work together, but just trust me when I say they just do. If you're going to come in and compare this to authentic Korean food, just don't. You won't find that ANYWHERE in Tennessee. Good, authentic Asian food is hard to come by in a state like this and I have yet to find any that are up to standard. But for a quick fast casual lunch to satisfy your Korean food cravings? I had the combo bowl and it was ok. For the price I honestly expected more bang. To an extent, the dish reminded of something you'd find in a freezer section of any grocery store but improved a bit. It wasn't terrible, just not spectacular. As far as the "ambience", the place is clean but small with a tv that was turned up to full volume. Said tv was tuned to Sesame Street... blasting at level 11. No children in the place. Just blasting Sesame Street for all the adults on their lunch breaks. I turned it down to a reasonable volume only to have the owner turn it back to full blast again moments later. After a little time passes, I may give it another try but will definitely get it to to-go if the tv is still blasting away. read more

Food and services was great and clean. Always clean and fresh and hot food. Also see employees have gloves on making orders. Never had problems with orders or food issues for example hair in food and issues like that. Also always see the employees have hairnets on. Highly recommended. read more

Best secret in TN. Love everything about this place. Korean BBQ at its finest. From the moment you enter, the owner will make you feel welcome. Things can get a little spicy, so keep your levels low unless you like it hot. Definitely one of the best kept secrets in the south. The location is not great, but the food is amazing. read more

This joint is my and my friends' go-to lunch spot. I always get the spicy bulgogi cup and boy, is it tasty! Now, it does deliver a bit of a kick spice-wise, but you'll scarf it down in no time. It even comes with two dumplings on top that have this amazing sauce drizzled on top. You can't go wrong with this place. The only downside is that during lunch, there's always a wait because of how popular it's become with MTSU students. read more

Nice house. We liked it very much. There were so many rave reviews of the place near us, we had to try it. Korean BBQ in a cup is a misnomer. From the previous posts, we had to solve the riddle posed there. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food, but said the portions were too small for the price. There is no cup. The food is served in a biodegradable boat. I had the combo cup and the three flavors, beef, seafood and pork were distinct and wonderful. Along with the meat, the meal is served with two wonderful dumplings, sweet potato cellophane noodles and a cabbage salad. You get a choice of white or fried rice as a bed for the meat. My only complaint was there was too much rice in comparison. I am a fire eater and was pleased with the amount of spice. It satisfied me but was just right for my wife. Dessert was a pleasant surprise. Hidden in the ice cream freezer were wonderful Korean ice cream treats. We tried two unique ones. We tried the corn (yes corn) ice cream sandwich and the green tea with red bean ice cream sandwich. Forget the idea of a cookie to make the sandwich. The outside was a wafer much like the old ice cream cones. Flavors of both were great. The real great surprise was the carb content. We Americans love our sugar, but this is not true of other countries. Located next to a major university (MTSU) and student housing, I would expect this place to be busy when classes are in session. We liked it and moved it up in our list of quick food take out, when needed. The ice cream is worth a trip by itself. read more

Cup pop is a hidden gem! I've never had a bad thing on the menu, and the service is consistent, friendly, and fast. From bulgoki to chicken katsu, the flavor profile of the dishes are dialed in! My biggest complaint is that they aren't open enough or late enough for me to enjoy more frequently. Seriously, this place, In Nashville could charge 2x the price, no problem. read more

Great service and very chill atmosphere. The lady (owner) was very sweet and there was even a high chair available for younger kids. Very cognizant of kids finicky eating nature and asked if I wanted sauce on my son's food which I appreciated. I got the spicy bulgogi and it came at 4 spice levels. Price seems a bit high. Flavors are pretty good. Calm down with the sriracha!!! I'll go here again for sure!! There's more to try here and the bulgogi flavor is really great. Spice level: you choose, just know that no matter the interior spice level, it'll still be hosed down with sriracha unless you request otherwise!!! read more

Love Vietnamese food and had the honor of meeting Mike & Lisa who are the owners of the establishment. Looked over the menu and decided on the Korean BBQ Bahn Mi...everything is made to order, and I had my sandwiches in about 10 minutes. You can wait in your vehicle and they will bring it out to you. LOVED the flavors in this sandwich and the roll was soft on the inside with a nice crunchy crust. The Korean BBQ meat was perfectly seasoned and not too sweet while the veggies were plentiful and very fresh and crispy. This is a solid Bahn Mi and I can't wait to try some of the other versions...especially when Mike posts the special Pork Belly version. Overall great food and excellent service, a real pleasure meeting these folks Mike and Lisa have been in business for a month and Mike said this is their permanent location except for when they do special events...they are open Tue - Sun from 11 - 8pm.

The chicken fresh rolls were decent, but some of the lettuce was not so fresh. Also, the peanut sauce was a little runny for my taste. The sesame chicken was pretty good, however, the fried rice was a little bland. Overall, I would say it was a decent lunch. But I would say, considering they are a little pricier than most Thai restaurants, I was expecting a little more wow. I will definitely give them another try.
