Their Ranch dressing tastes like dog shit but the Mushroom Swiss burger is so GD good that you will overlook it

I had never heard of Culver's before visiting this location. I must say this review is very overdue. First off, if you prefer your food cold, incomplete, or wrong, or if you prefer having to stand around 10 minutes or see a dirty restaurant, this isn't the place for you! From the moment you enter you hear a friendly greeting. There is usually no lines too. Once you order, they give you a number and you sit where they bring you your food! Usually fast (depends on how busy it is) and always hot, and tasty too! There is never a shortage of workers, often 3 or more on ice cream (incredible treat) and 3 cashiers, cooks, and one or two in the dining room cleaning up! Once I saw them give out free ice cream to some kids helping a stranger clean a spill! Thats hospitality! As people leave, I hear employees thank them for coming! Such service is unheard of today in upscale malls, yet here its the norm! Before you go, check out the freezer and get some pints if ice cream to go. read more

Love this restaurant, all the great diner food i want but much more fresh ingredients

I was there w my kids and the franchise owner was a few booths down. It got my attention as I was thinking why are these ppl so friendly. An older couple came along and wanted a window seat. He offered his seat. A few minutes later staff was cleaning up around the window where something was noticed. It was so nice to see. We will definitely keep coming back. I always ask for no tomato no mayonnaise because I have food allergies and every time I order I get tomato and mayonnaise unless I order two or three burgers. This is the fifth time which makes me think food isn't cooked to order like they advertise and I'm sick of having diarrhea because their staff doesn't care! Unfortunately Culver's is the only fast food I can actually eat as long as there's no tomato or mayonnaise on there. One more time and making it right is my new hobby!!! read more

Third time in a row that we were dissatisfied with our food. The pretzel pub burger didn't have the cheese it should have and a dab of the special sause made it a dry burger. Last 2 visits also had a problem with the food. read more

Had to give the Wixom Culver's 2 stars and can see that others have had similar experiences: I used to stop every Thursday on the way home from work but had issues with the order being wrong and no response to my survey comment; went there last week and ordered 4 items and was half way home before realizing the fries were missing. Completed the survey and answered 'yes' to whether I want to be contacted, absolutely no response. You would assume that anyone could count to 4 and notice there are only 3 things in the bag. First time there tonight. My first thought was that the store looked very clean. The staff were not only friendly and helpful, they were actually doing their jobs. Teenagers. Not messing around. Well oiled machine. The cashier helped us save money because we ordered a sandwich, side and a mixer separately. We didn't realize we could order the meal and pay a small upcharge to exchange the drink for a mixer. Order came up quickly and it's all delicious. Again I was impressed that the staff all worked together super efficiently. What earned the fifth star though is the fact that they accidentally added bacon to my sandwich. What a happy mistake. I really like this place. The fried shrimp and fried chicken tenders are so yummy. And they always serve them hot and fresh. They also have this garden salad with some kind of green lima beans for like $3.99 - they serve it with these lemony croutons, delicious! Lettuce is fresh and crisp, which I never really expect with fast food places, but they have the freshest I've seen. read more

I don't think I'm ever disappointed with this place. This is the first and only Culver's I've ever ate at and will continue to eat here unless my boyfriend moves! We love eating here at least once a month. We've never had problems with our orders or our food tasting bad. It also helps to know that they get their food from GFS where boyfriend works in the distribution center! The staff is always friendly and courteous. I always get the crispy chicken value basket. The chicken is always hot, fresh, and juicy! I've tried their cheeseburgers and they were delish. My boyfriend loves eating the grilled chicken and roast beef sandwiches. Their ice cream and shakes are super yummy as well! Always a great experience for the both of us!! I wish they still had the sweet potato fries! read more

I went to the Wixom location at 7:45 pm on a Monday night. Just about 6 or 7 tables were occupied. I ordered the listed special for the day - the crispy chicken sandwich basket. I waited more than 20 minutes for my order. When it finally arrived everything was cold. After 2 bites I dumped the whole tray out & went to MacDonalds! $8.00 wasted. This place has gone downhill from when it first opened several years ago. read more

Yay! I was so excited when I saw they were building one by us! Their custard is out of this world! By far the best I've tried. The cement mixer- seriously you only need a mini or small, it's so rich. I am not the kind of girl that's ever been satisfied with a plain scoop of vanilla ice cream, but I'm more than happy with a plain scoop of vanilla here! You can really taste the egginess of it (in a good way) bc they freeze it fresh. I almost went with the chicken sandwich, bc it kind of looked like chick fil a's (we don't really have those here. DONT come here on a diet! My husband and I each ordered a value basket with butter burgers, and cheese curds- so good but we could not finish. Do yourselves a favor, share a meal and save room for desert! read more

This place is one of my guilty pleasures. When I want a bomb burger and a shake or sundae, this is my go-to. Culver's burgers are always hand crafted and the quality comes through. The texture of the meat is just right with a nice sear on both sides, and always seasoned just right. The food always looks as good as the pictures on the menu, which is nice. One small complaint is sometimes the cheese is melted, other times it's not. Not a huge deal, but it's so much better when melted. This place has the friendliest staff! They are always very pleasant and take your order with a smile. **Update** 4/3/16 My last couple visits were not as great as the ones I based my review on. I've learned that the food quality in the evening isn't as good/fresh as it is during the day. Last time I went there was around 8pm on a weekend. I ordered a battered cod meal and the fish was soggy and the coleslaw was room tempurature, and the fries were cold. I ended up throwing it in the trash after a couple bites. I think I am done with Culvers for a while after that experience. read more

Simple burgers, but made with good ingredients and tasty. They're known for their cheese curds side, and for their frozen custards. Those are fine, but the burger is what stands out, when compared to other fast food places. read more

Poor service and management at this location. The staff simply can't get an order correct. Even non-special orders like Bacon Cheeseburgers often come to your table without the bacon. Drive through is worse. Get home to find your order completely butchered. We've eaten here 5-6 times, and they have yet to get an order correct, whether in person or drive through. The food is fantastic but at the end of the day it's fast food. It taste better then the McDonald's, bugar king and many other places near the area. it is not exceptional food but it's definitely not bad. the shakes are amazing I can not lie. if you want a good shake it's a good place for you if you have a lot of time. the service is extremely slow it really shouldn't be called fast food. the line is long and it is always crowed. overall it's okay. read more

It's like DQ on steroids. Not diet friendly, but if that is not an issue then this is the best fast food chain in the area.

I enjoy Culver's mostly however this time multiple issues and not handled by management very well ordered a sourdough sandwich and was brought a Wisconsin. Server told me it was the same with different bread!?!?! Then the air was on in building with several complaints. Never addressed and when leaving they said heat/air out of their hands. Delicious burgers and fries. Service is always friendly and quick. Sandwiches are well put together and worth the extra price over their competitors. Much better than McDonald's or BK for a fast Lunch. Drive through system with car numbers works well. read more

I frequent this location at least twice a month and my food is made PERFECT every single time! They're always busy here but you don't have to wait long for your order to be ready. The quality of their food and the meat they use for their burgers is absolutely worth the price. The cheese curds are always cooked fresh to order and I strongly recommend that everyone gives them a try. All of the staff is extremely friendly and willing to modify your order anyway you need. This chain/location is all around delicious and I always walk away satisfied with my order. read more

I'd passed Culver's restaurants in several Midwest states, but never actually got to one until they moved to Wixom. OMG, the only thing that could make this burger better would be a cold beer with it. That said, their diet root beer works just as well. After stuffing our faces with deluxe butter burgers tonight, hubby & I split a Snickers Swirl sundae. Un-be-liev-ably decadent! This place is a cross between fast food & heaven. read more
