My friend Carol wanted to meet me for lunch here and I am so glad I did. The place was clean, service a bit slow, but I know there is such a shortage on servers throughout this area, so I get that! Carol ordered the FISH SANDWICH as well as a MILK SHAKE (both looked quite yummy) and I wanted the SOUTHWEST AVOCADO SALAD, which came with a generous portion of CHICKEN BREAST on top. We love Culvers and we usually take a pint of custard home with us. The last two times we purchased custard we weren't happy with it. I ordered caramel turtle, one of my favorites. The only caramel and pecans were at the bottom. Today I got chocolate caramel twist. It was all chocolate custard except for a small amount of vanilla at the bottom. I think we will be skipping the custard for awhile. I hope it gets back to the high quality it used to be. read more

I am writing in to voice a complaint regarding the dinner I had at the Culver's in Venice Fl on US 41/ Tamiami Trail ( the one next door to Checkers burger drive thru) last night, 10/15, just before closing. I went thru the drive thru, (which had 1 car ahead of me & 2 cars parked in the lot) and ordered: 2 fish dinner Fries Xtra crispy Side salad w Vinegarette Very Light on salt!!! I repeated it 3x Mayo Flavor of the day Reeses - 1scoop. I waited 22 minutes to FINALLY get my food (and meanwhile saw employees sitting at a table eating while customers are waiting!!), only to get my order which was a nightmare! This was what I got: 1. Both filets were small, but worse they were luke warm, not crunchy, but soggy and greasy. 2. The French fries were SALTY and luke warm, not crispy 3. The salad container was 3/4 full of limp lettuce, soft tomatoes 4. The ice cream was very soft with no form, it was like soft serve in a few minutes! I took pictures of the entree & salad which clearly backs my review. If you look closely you can see the grease and that the filets are wet looking. Ick. I got the attention of the young tall, thin white male running the deliveries and showed him the filets etc and about the saltiness and showed him my receipt where it clearly says very low salt. He said he'd tell the manager and left. He came back out and first said that he was told a replacement couldn't be given if they didn't get the fries back. I said "Here so take them...I can't have that much salt!" Then he changed his story and said well if you ate even 1 fry we can't take it back!! I responded "How would I know they were too salty if I didn't try them?? So which is it? You can take them & replace them, or you cant?" He replied "No we can't but you can buy a new order!" I declined and said I'd dispute the charges w my bank and left. This is absolutely THE WORST customer service ever!! They are lazy, rude, have 0 pride in giving a good meal in return for a customers payment, and show a complete lack of customer service!! For making the HUGE mistake of buying dinner there, I was charged $17+ and received a substandard meal and rude service. (I had an issue w their service once before, but because I believe in giving people a 2nd chance I went back, which now seems was a huge mistake!! They've gotten worse! read more

i just got home from an absolute terrible experience at your restaurant. I ordered the cod dinner. As I waited for 15 mins., and I know, because I timed it, the restaurant got slammed with a bunch of kids, probably 40 I would guess. They all got their meals before me. So I stopped one of your runners, Micah, and asked where was my meal and his reply was, "they just got slammed and you will have to wait". Keep in mind my meal was ordered 15 minutes prior to the arrival of the "Slam Kids", who by the way were already eating. BTW Micha looks and answers like he is high on something or just plain stupid. I finally went to the counter and ask for assistance, I finally got some of my meal minus the onion rings, BTW one of favorites. The onion rings came about 10 minutes later, cold and over cooked. Y'all really need to look into the operation of this restaurant, and may I suggest, get an adult to look over the children running the place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

OMG this was so good some little midget named Aden helped me with my order of the cod fillet it was fabulous of my 68 years of living I never had fish this great before it's like they freshly just caught it and cooked it for me, especially when you dip cod fillet in ketchup and ranch it's sooo good!! read more

The service is extremely slow. Pot roast dinner was served dry & cold. Walleye & Cod dinners are under cooked.

First of all the staff is always eager to please, courteous and helpful. I love that they bring your order out to you. If you don't want to wait you can order online and just go pick it up. I've never had a bad meal there. Their fried chicken sandwich is awesome and I also enjoy their cod dinner. Everything is always hot and ready to eat. The best fast food place! read more

This used to be the most outstanding Culver's. Something has happened here that's tragic for the company, And very sad for customers who enjoyed getting a really decent Burger here. I don't see this Culver's recovering from the problem in the near future. And I understand that it's hard to find good employees because apparently no one wants to work anymore. The last 3 times I have gone to this Culver's, there was no line of cars at the drive thru. there are usually there are usually at least 10 cars at the drive-through . The last 3 times I have gone to this Culver's they have gotten my order abysmally wrong. The 1st time I didn't realize it until I was home. I called, and the person on the phone was very rude and very snippy treating me like I was stupid. The 2nd time my my order was all incorrect sizes of the items that I ordered. Yesterday It took me several telephone calls from the pick up line in order to obtain the items I had ordered and paid for. The store kept sending employees out to ask me 3 times what sizes is I wanted and what type of gravy we wanted.. I provided that information all 3 times and yet the order was still incorrect. When I politely asked the name of the employee who was also rude, combative and dismissive of my requests for the food I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR, she hung up on me. Just part of the reason that the world is in the state it's in is because no one is teaching our young people how to answer stressful questions - - like "May I ask your first name please?" Good luck to Culver's Regional Trainer, if there even is one. I don't think these people can be trained. Being from Wisconsin, I know what's happened to this store was not in the plan of the brothers who started the whole thing. With the complete disarray of this restaurant, we recommend Sarasota County Health inspectors make a visit here asap. Eat here, and spend your hard-earned money here at your own risk. I wish I could give this place a half star, everyone has a attitude or the teens are using profanity. if you come in to late the employees will rope their eyes or make side comments about you in the back or in front of you and don't get me started about the owner or General Manager always has a attitude in their voice when they are trying to fix something that their employees messed up always seems like they don't want to spend time to listen to a concern. read more

I'm pregnant and my fiancé went to five different restaurants to try to find me something to eat around 10 o'clock at night, the crew was extremely understanding and helpful. I am writing to provide feedback from my visit to Culver's (784) in Venice Florida on 12/23/2020 at 1:16pm. I choose the drive-thru for this particular visit. I immediately noticed the lady's listening skills needed attention, as she continued to attempt to finish my order for me. She then became irritated after asking if the order was correct and I responded with no! Next, she said, 'well then to you need to speak up' in a much lower tone. I can only assume I wasn't supposed to hear that. So I asked her to repeat her last statement. That's when she yelled through the speaker, "what else can I get for you'. I found her customer service lacking, unprofessional, and and completely unacceptable. I too am a business owner. I would hope if any of my team members acted in this matter, that it would be brought to my attention as soon as possible. As I would have serious concerns and questions whether this team member possesses the right skill set to service in their current position. read more
