A dessert lover's dream!…read more We originally set out to find an ice cream shop and somehow stumbled upon Melt N Dip through the Yelp app... and honestly, I think we found something even better! There were SO many options on the menu that choosing just two items was a struggle because everything sounded delicious. We finally settled on the Brownies Crepe and Strawberry Dubai Cup, and OMG... both were absolutely amazing! Everything was rich, chocolatey, creamy, and downright indulgent. We were in dessert heaven! If you have a serious sweet tooth, this place deserves a spot on your list. Just know these desserts are RICH, so come ready to treat yourself! The place was pretty crowded on a Saturday night, which definitely gave us the impression that we'd found a popular dessert spot. Despite the crowd, the wait was surprisingly short. One little detail I appreciated? They have carafes of refreshing water available, which is honestly clutch when you're working your way through desserts this decadent. I'm so glad we found this spot! There were way too many tempting options to try in one visit, so I'll definitely be coming back on my next trip to Schaumburg. Next time, I'm going to need to explore more of that menu.

Based…read moreon the name, I originally thought it was a fondue place, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offer a wide selection of desserts, including crepes, waffles, and gelato. Without wasting any time, I ordered the Apple Cinnamon Crepe Pouch, while my wife went with the Melt N Dip Waffle. I was impressed when my crepe arrived because it really did look like a pouch! A toothpick was used to hold the crepe together and create the pouch shape. It was completely covered in a smooth chocolate sauce, with another type of chocolate drizzled over the top. The presentation was really nice, and the chocolate was incredibly rich and delicious . For me, though, it was a little too much, and I couldn't finish the entire dessert. My wife's waffle was more basic in comparison to mine, so I preferred the crepe. I think anyone who really appreciates chocolate and rich, indulgent desserts would enjoy this place. We'll definitely be coming back to try their gelato. They have so many flavors to choose from, and there are quite a few I'm interested in trying.

Our Experience was good, not great…read more We did some research about all of the local ice cream places and our kids picked Kurimu because it seemed to be the most unique. Initial impression wasn't great... The smell was really the main reason why. The shop itself definitely had a smell, I can't really describe what it was but it was not pleasant. There was one person working, he was polite but did not have much personality. Most of our questions were met with him telling us that we ordered "over there" as he points to the register. It just did not have a very welcoming energy. Only of our kids got ice cream as the flavors did not catch them like they had hoped it would. My Youngest got a coconut ice cream with waffle cone (she loved it), it was a subtle coconut flavor but very refreshing. My oldest daughter got a match drink w boba, hers was also good but not her favorite. I ended up getting the soft serve mix (Tofu/Black Sesame) which was definitely unique and I did enjoy it but no one else i was with did. After checking out, we were offered free stickers which was a nice gesture and I talked about their Japanese Car theme which seemed to liven up the man working momentarily. My family was not impressed but I enjoyed the experience. Very unique compared to what we are used to seeing. I would most likely return, but I am not confident my family would follow.

Too young to f***" I walked into Daisy's, looked behind the counter, and immediately felt like Chris Hansen was going to rappel through the ceiling. The P.O.A. Index wasn't merely unavailable, it had been confiscated by the State of Illinois, sealed in an evidence bag, and transported somewhere my lawyer strongly advised me not to follow. Everyone working there looked so young that instead of wondering whether anyone was attractive, I started wondering when everyone's mother was coming to pick them up. One girl asked what flavor I wanted and I nearly replied, "Whatever people ate before you were born." This wasn't an ice cream run anymore. This was a mortality check. I entered Daisy's as a reasonably youthful man looking for dessert and walked out mentally pricing burial plots and wondering whether Costco sells Metamucil by the pallet. Fortunately, the ice cream was excellent... except for the non-sensical names. Besides the one labeled "smores" it was like trying to decide the enigma machine from WWII. If one can decipher the flavors... the ice cream is rich, creamy, enormous portions, exactly the kind of old-school neighborhood ice cream that makes you temporarily forget you've apparently become old enough to have employees serving you who don't remember a world before smartphones. Five stars... begrudgingly. I went in wanting a cone. I came out eligible for a reverse mortgage.

They make some great flavors, so I don't hate it, but I was also hoping to find something a little more homemade. And there are some places we've been to around that are great, like Cap's Ice Cream! But looking for something new on a Saturday night, I found Marciano on Yelp and let me say, this place is the real deal. It may be my favorite ice cream shop around (though I put frozen custard in a separate category). No gimmicky flavors here, everything I tried here is straightforward but excellent. I'm a fan of coconut ice cream, and they add not only bits of coconut in it, but roasted coconut bits! My kid's blueberry ice cream had bits of the berry skin in it! And I love that they use less sugar so the natural sweetness of the flavors really shine. The store is also super kid friendly, to the point that my little one was too distracted with the toys to finish their ice cream (though I think they also missed the cookies and cream on the menu and regretted it). A little far from home, but will definitely be back if we're in the area! Great local spot!

The tartness may be due to the lower sugar content, but it just tasted "healthier" to me! Everyone there was so friendly and greeted us with a smile. The prices were reasonable and their single scoop was very generous! I also loved how kid-friendly the shop was. They had drawings and coloring pages that kids had made displayed all over the walls. They also had plenty of toys and coloring books to keep the little ones entertained. The store was clean and brightly lit with cute ice cream photos decorating the space. I loved the atmosphere and how I felt while I was there. Definitely will be coming back!

Clean, bright, old-school look. And then there's the smell... sugar, waffle cones, chocolate. That alone was hard to ignore. The staff were really welcoming too. Friendly, patient and just good energy while we figured out what to get. I ordered a chocolate milkshake. When it came out... honestly it looked like a small masterpiece. Big glass filled to the rim, whipped cream piled high on top and a cookie straw stuck in there. Looked almost too nice to drink. The shake was thick. Like actually thick. Rich chocolate flavor, with a deep cocoa taste. It tasted like real chocolate ice cream blended down, super creamy and smooth. Once the whipped cream started mixing in, it became even softer and more velvety with the sweetness balancing out the darker chocolate flavor. Sweet, cold, creamy. Exactly what I needed that night. I finished the whole thing... probably too fast.
