After seeing all the videos of people enjoying these Hotdogs, I decided to give them a try. Kong Dog offers you five different Dogs (Beef, Chicken, Plant Based, etc.) and 10 different "coatings". I elected to go with the Potato Kong Dog and the sweet Asian chili sauce on the side. The Hotdog is fresh and cooked to order, with the Potato corndog coating very crispy. The entire offering was tasty and I was happy I got the sauce on the side. These Kong Dogs are humongous and it could have been a task not to get messy otherwise. The restaurant is tastefully furnished and there's a fireplace and a "grotto" area where you can sit, enjoy a Kong Dog and relax! read more

Okayyyyy Kong Dog, I see you, go off! This Kong Dog location is great. It's clean, spacious, decorated cutely, has music playing, has fun decor, etc. I came on a Sunday around 5pm and there was a few people inside but nothing crazy. There's kiosks where you order at and then pick up your order right from the counter when they call your number. All their Korean style corn dogs and drinks are made to order. The staff was friendly here, too, and they were constantly cleaning. I got the hot cheeto Korean corn dog (half cheese half beef) with spicy mayo on the side. It was 10/10 finger licking delicious. You definitely have to be in the mood for this because a cheesy Korean style corn dog is pretty heavy. I had like 1 bite left but I couldn't finish it. The cheese pull was crazyyyyy and the hot cheeto dust was so good I scraped it with a fork after to finish it all. I'd totally get it again. I think it was around $8 including tax and side of sauce. I'd 100% come here again and try their drinks in addition to their corn dogs! read more

Finally got to try this fancy corn dog place that's popping up everywhere. Initial impression: Clean place, good prices, and a friendly enough staff. It did take a little time to get my order ready, which I wasn't expecting for a corn dog. There are many options to choose from. I ordered the combo with an Original Kong Dog. Holy moly that's a lot of fries! There was enough for three people. The fries were good, and the dog was alright but not great. Maybe I'll return one day try the potato dog next time. Or the ramen dog. Or the Cheeto dog. Or... Anyway. The mango lemonade is really good and my favorite item from this visit. 3.5 stars, rounded up to four. read more

I went to Kong Dong on the week of May 12, 2025. The first time, I wanted to order the popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, I was told that they didn't have ANY chicken available. That was a little surprising, so I just ordered their strawberry matcha latte. It had a strong artificial taste. Literally 2 days later, I returned to Kong Dong hoping that with it being the weekend, they'd have their popcorn chicken. Still, no popcorn chicken, so I ordered the bone-in chicken with sweet and spicy sauce. It was REALLY good and I immediately knew that I wanted more. So the next day on Doordash, I ordered the chicken and was met with a refund because THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY CHICKEN. I do not understand how this company can continue to market chicken on their menu when they never have it available. While the food is good, 2/3 times that I tried to get chicken, they didn't have it. So I tried their original corn dog and sweet potato corn dog...not impressed. Kong Dog is actually pretty good. I like the corndog batter options, sausage options, and the combo's they offer. The prices are reasonable and food was good. They employees were nice and helpful. The issue was how long it took to get the food. They seemed pretty disorganized and inefficient. If they can get things better on that front, I would up the rating. read more

I don't often review a place until I've been there a bunch of times, but I was particularly happy with how good Kong Dog's Korean-style gamja hot dogs and boba drinks were. So far, these are the best gamja hot dogs I've had in the area, with awesome beef franks and perfectly cooked coating. The dude working the counter was friendly, the rest of the crew was cleaning (presumably right after a lunch rush), and the place was in good order for 1 pm on a Saturday. Our drinks were made super-quick, and both looked great. I really enjoyed my blueberry-lemonade with blueberry popping boba. After a few minutes, our hot dogs were ready and nuclear hot, fresh out of the fryer. I loved that the batter of my plain Kong Dog was fried to perfection, and not too oily. The franks they use are delicious, and quite savory beef hot dogs. Once they were cool enough for consumption, I wolfed my dogs down. It was a really good and relative-quick lunch, that was super satisfying. The restaurant was nice and clean, with a decent sized seating are given the modest size of the restaurant itself. The ADA accessible bathrooms were clean, and in perfect working order. There's tons of parking in front of and to the side of Kong Dog, in a shopping center that can get pretty busy in the daytime. I'll be sure to update my review as I visit Kong Dog more often, but I enjoyed my lunch way too much to resist posting my initial thoughts. Nice little caribou coffee looking corn dog shop. Confusing theme but i dont care as long as it tastes good. We got a corn dog each. They have options for cheese, hot dog, half cheese half beef, chicken, or vegan insides. Then it is coated in their rice batter and then optional topping choices. I got the sweet chili doritos coating and my wife got the churro one. We also got the kong fries. Everything was tasty. Batter was good -  chewy inside and crispy outside. I really liked the sweet and spicy coating. The cheese was good but the hot dog just an oscar meyer hot dog. Just don't expect some fancy sausage. My wife did the churro corn dog (yes she is weird) but liked that a lot as well. The kong fries were good as well - mayo and cheeto topping. I think the price is good for what you get and the service was pretty fast. Really good if you are in the mood for it. Would definitely go back. read more

My kids like to go here for something different here and there and they are always nice, clean and professional. I like the kiosk that allows you to order on your own time, the little sitting area is cute with the videos playing and the place is always clean. Best Kong Dogs we've had in the state. read more

Now I can have a freshly prepared, custom made Kong Dog which is absolutely the BOMB! This place is well organized, well staffed with helpful, friendly staff who will guide you through the ordering process. The young woman who helped us brought over some complimentary spicy mayo sauce for us to try. They have other non-spicy sauces as well as ketchup and mustard. I'm sold on the spicy mayo. I had the classic Kong Dog and my husband had a classic and a spicy Dorito Kong Dog. I had a couple of bites of his as well. Just delicious. Super crispy, hot and fresh. Cooked on the spot just for us. We will be back for more Kong Dogs and to try the chicken and Bubble Tea. I noticed iced coffee and slushy drinks as well. The place is spotlessly clean from bathrooms to tables. There is plenty of indoor seating and we saw plenty of to-go orders being picked up while we were there. A cool new chain in the area, serving the increasingly popular trend in the USA, the Korean style corn dog. As a purist, I insist on the mozzarella version, but I tried their hot dog version as well. I wasn't a big fan of the hotdog but they have a wonderful mozzarella dog. I personally don't like anything too crazy, or it gets a bit greasy for my liking, so I stick with simple customizations (they offer many). One thing I really like here is their brown sugar bubble milk tea. It is one of my favorites! The staff here are friendly, and the establishment is clean from what I could see. Clean and modern ambiance. All the different variations of the corn dogs are pretty good. You can get them sugar coated and with different toppings and choose mozzarella, beef hot dog or half-half. So glad a closer location opened up so we don't have to drive all the way to Glenview. The bubble latte drinks were ok. The tapioca pearls were hard and didn't taste very good -- hence the 1 star minus. Overall, I will definitely come back when the craving hits. read more

Too Slow. It should not take over 25 minutes to prepare a corn dog for takeout when corn dogs are the only item on your menu. Even if you call the order in advance, they wont start preparing the dogs until you arrive in shop, repeat the order, and pay them on site. Ordered the Cheeto corn dog , normal , corn dog , potato corn dog and fries . We thought it was enough for me and my partner and when we got our food . The size of the fries and corn dog was a lot for us . Which is a good thing . Corn dogs are twice the size of a corn dog you'll buy at a frozen food section , and fries where delicious and so fresh and warm . Will be back and highly recommend this place . My first time going. You would think that they would offer an American style traditional Corn Dog. The "Original" beef / sausage was the closest thing to it. It was a decent meal but it did not wow me by any stretch of the imagination. Overall the restaurant experience was not a memorable one. I suppose if you are adventurous and want to try the other varieties of corn dogs, chicken etc then maybe you would like it. For me everything was just ok including the service. The staff did nothing wrong but they had zero personality. Pretty much a few unsupervised young kids that are doing the bare minimum. When I go to a restaurant - including a fast food restaurant I expect the staff to be engaging and positive. The restaurant's decor and menu board were pretty lame. I usually never write reviews on places but im writing one today which should say a lot. I came here last night with my family and this lady she looked about 20 treated us with terrible attitude. We had ordered our food on the kiosk and we ordered 4 drinks, one of them being a lemonade, and we only received two out of the four when our corn dogs came out. Which one of the corn dogs came out burnt. We were waiting for our other drinks and we didn't receive them until we had finished eating, we went up to ask if they were almost done because well a lemonade shouldn't take 25 minutes to come out. While we waited the lady i previously mentioned gave us attitude and said "hold on i have other things im doing" she then later came out with another persons food and told them we are working on other orders so your drinks wont be ready until we're done, which was understandable but would've been nice to be told from the very beginning! She then proceeded to hand out other drink orders first before ours which we had ordered before any of them. I really didn't like the attitude that was given to me and my family because we just wanted some drinks to go with our dry corn dogs. Also we had ordered dumplings with our ramen and we didn't get the dumplings until 15 minutes after. I would not recommend to come to this location if you plan on coming with friends or family. I haven't had any issues with other locations but i will not be returning to this one. read more
