Food was fresh, fast and hot, just as advertised! Quick service, fast in/out... or leisurely dining!

Twisted Ice Cream - Caramel Apple Sundae 21+

Twisted Ice Cream

This is someplace special! It's certainly worth going out of the way to visit, although it happens…read moreto be right in my route to and from the relatives. Everything is made fresh, right here, except for a few Cedar Crest flavors if you happen to be so inclined. There's no indoor seating, but plenty on the porch. Their ice creams and gelatos are openly on display in a glass display case so you can choose from a wide variety of flavors placed in a cup or waffle cone. Standard flavors are available in good old soft-serve. Over 21? You might opt for the addition of adult flavoring (think of the days when you'd spike the punch). Vodka in lemonade seems to be a popular choice, for some reason. The store is located on Neva Road, which is US 45 on Antigo's north side. The sign is a little small, so you have to be watching for it. It's kitty-corner from that frozen custard place that shall remain nameless since I'd rather have Twisted Ice Cream. Try them a couple of times, and you will, too.

Stopped in Antigo at this little shop for a treat on our drive home and got so much more than we…read morebargained for! The 21 and over flavor had enough Jack Daniel's to make me grin! This little family owned place is meticulous on the details and their presentation. The "Some More?" Tasted like real toasted marshmallow with actual crunchy pieces of graham. While we were inside (only seating is outside with shade) they were drizzling toppings for every flavor keeping them looking fresh constantly! It's only open May thru Labor Day but we will be back for sure. Like another reviewer, they gave me a free treat for my pup... no charge

Recently I was in Rhinelander WI and had to stop at Diary Queen. It is still as amazing as I…read moreremember. I ordered a six piece chicken tender basket with white gravy and upgraded to a chocolate malt with extra, extra, extra malt powder. The tenders were crispy, not greasy and the white gravy was hot, not room temperature. My malt took me waaaay back to my childhood, the way a malt should taste. If you love the flavor of a malted milk ball you will love the Dairy Queen on Lincoln Street. My husband ordered one too but he's not that fond of a malt. He couldn't believe how delicious a chocolate malt could taste. I told him only Dairy Queen knows how to make a malt. The person at the register asked me, do you want extra, or extra extra or extra extra extra malt powder? Three times the charm. This Dairy Queen is the place families gather for great food and conversation. It's the high school hang out, or where anyone looking for a nostalgic memory of the 1950's malt shoppe with the best food and of course malts. The decor has been updated since the 50's and it definitely rates a 10 in cleanliness. I highly recommend stopping at the Rhinelander Dairy Queen on Lincoln Street, you will not be disappointed. The Rhinelander Dairy Queen checks all the boxes.

I called the store with a minor complaint, being that there was pickle juice on my sandwiches,…read moreafter I asked for no pickles. I opened the sandwiches to see that the pickles had been peeled out of the barely melted cheese. I called the manager politely to let him know that one of his employees had done this, and he treated me like a liar. Zero apology. Zero offer to make it right.
