Culver's serves up some of the best burgers in this area. They are large and delicious. I really enjoy the thin type burger cooked on a flat-top grill ah-la Winstead's, and Culver's has them. I prefer Culver's over Winstead's because both the price and taste are better (oftentimes Winstead's is too dry). Bottom line, I recommend trying Culver's. Cripes that chocolate custard is smooth! Went last night for the first time and had a decent burger. My wife had the tenderloin sandwich and it could have been breaded anything, so we'll pass on that next time. The chicken tenders for the little person were great and the fries were good. The place was packed, but turned over relatively well. Note to singles/DINKs: Expect sugared up noisy kids. The area where you wait in line is a little goofy because as a newcomer, you can't really tell who is in line and who isn't. Culver's is easily one of my favorite restaurants but this Culver's really fails to deliver on those pieces that are essential to the Culver's brand. This location is the closest to my house so I come here fairly often but over half of the time, my order is delivered incorrect. The other day, my wife and I ordered 2 concrete mixers but they totally messed them up and put completely wrong mix-ins in each. I wish this were an isolated example but it is not. When I point out the inaccuracy, they always correct it, but it's really disheartening that they can't double check their order for accuracy prior to delivering to the customer. read more

Culver's on 151st Street in Olathe has the best customer service and food of any fast food restaurant in the area including both Olathe and Overland Park. I live close to the Culver's on 135th Street but drive to the Olathe Culver's because of their friendly service and the food is always cooked fresh for you. Millie delivers great customer service. Always asking what she can get for you, picks up your tray/trash on the table, holds the door when you come in or leave with a smile. Great service and Great Food. It's hard to have a bad meal at any Culver's. The butter burgers are amazing, and frozen custard is spot on. However, I skip the fries here - not good. I've always had very friendly service at this restaurant, including employees running ahead of me to hold the door open when carrying out an order. However, during my last visit here, my food came out a little different from what I ordered, but they were quick to correct it. In the last three years, I have developed into probably the #1 customer of this location. This Culver's is actually special. Every single employee is extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. The store is the cleanest fast food establishment I have EVER seen, and it is like this any time of day no matter how busy. Everything is freshly made, unlike other fast food places, and it is only slightly more expensive and it is just so much better. The menu is great because it includes specials, such as the broccoli cheese soup or chicken salad sandwich, which (no pun intended) are both very good. I also enjoy the delicious sweet potato fries that are offered in the fall. Culver's recently added a fried chicken sandwich that is off the charts as well. I have been a fan of five guys for years but lately I wanted to try out other burger options. A quick Google search for "best fast food burgers" brought up the following names: whataburger, in-n-out, five guys and culvers. We don't have the first two burger joints in Olathe/Overland Park region but luckily there was this Culvers right next to my office. I ordered a butter burger with cheddar cheese which arrived in about 2mins of me placing the order (bringing 'fast' back in fast food!). Now coming to the food itself: The burger was delicious! The bun was soft, the taste of mayonnaise went well with cheddar cheese and the well done burger patties. The culvers butter burger definitely tasted more "fatty" than the five guy cheese burger. I always get Turtle and Turtle Dove on the days they're featured. The last two months these flavors have disappointed. My first experience was in southern missouri where I was mildly confused and disgusted by the thought of a Butter Burger. When it was explained that they toast the buns with a bit of butter I was on board to give it a try, and very pleased. With no In N Outs in the area, Culvers is probably the best fast food restaurant around. They make everything Made to order, so you don't have to worry about your burger patties have been sitting under a heat lamp getting dry and lifeless. The staff is always polite and clean, and in general look like they are happy to be working there, and bend over backwards to make customers happy. I usually get a Mushroom and Swiss or a Sour Dough Melt. Both are great. I love their Onion Rings, so always get an order of them as well. Their Cheese Curds aren't nearly as good as some of the competitors, which is disappointing seeing they are based out of cheese capital of the country (Wisconsin) My Daughter always get a grilled cheese or cheese burger kids meal, and there is some added incentive for her to finish her meal, the kids meals come with a voucher for a free scoop of ice cream with toppings. Outstanding! I am over the moon with Culver's. I'm picky about my salads and tried the strawberry fields with grilled chicken. I normally like Culver's and this location but today's experience has turned me off. In the mood for something cold and icy, we stopped by at 11:00 AM and ordered 3 coolers. We waited at the window for a couple of minutes and they asked me to pull forward. After waiting another 10 minutes, I finally decided to go inside and see what was happening. The manager, I assume, said they had issues with the lemon ice and I think there was a minimal apology in there, but it was hard to tell. At this point, I had been waiting 15 minutes for three drinks and I asked for a refund instead of continuing to wait. There was poor communication about the issue and I was offered, at best, a weak apology. I really enjoy Culver's because the food there is very high quality, unlike you will find at other fast food places. I like the think of it like a classier fast food joint. They also have a great varied menu that I think anyone (except maybe vegetarians) can find something they like even if they aren't a big fan of burgers. Speaking of burgers, the burgers are fantastic and the veggies are always very fresh. The also have excellent chicken tenders that taste different than most others I've had. I usually get the beef pot roast sandwich or the pork tenderloin. Both items are delicious and the portions are very generous. And I can't help getting the chili cheddar fries which are INCREDIBLE. They use real cheddar and the chili is pretty typical but combined with their tasty crinkle cut fries, it's an amazing combination. You'll spend a little bit more money than you do at other fast food chains, but it's SO worth it. And the workers are VERY friendly and always smiling. read more

I have always Loved Culvers! Especially the burgers and fries. But OH NO, what has happened to the fries? I have always loved the Soft fries, but suddenly they've changed, Harder on the outside/crispy, not MY soft ones and a different taste even--new oil? OH PLEASE change them back. I'm so tired of foods we like being changed to a lesser product. (example, Pizza hut hamburger pizza and their cheese) Don't change the foods we love--I don't care if you Charge me more money--I understand, but why change a great product that has worked? I will miss the fries. And oh, what about the change in BUN for the burgers? New one is not as good, ok, so it might be nicer looking and you Might use it to help absorb the grease??LOL But it's too bready and falls apart easier.
