First time trying it, and I have to say, it was fantastic. The waffle was perfectly fluffy, the chicken tender was seasoned just right, and the Frozen Strawberry Lemonade hit the spot--definitely made with real fruit. Normally, chicken isn't my favorite, but this one truly stands out. Plus, despite the risks of delivery, it was clearly packed with care and purpose. And the dessert? Absolutely delightful! read more

If you're looking for a reason to visit Chick In Waffle, let this be it. Between this location and the Westport location, this one takes the cake. I have visited on several occasions and always leave satisfied. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu because everything is flavorful, and the portions are generous for the price. The chicken is cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside while remaining tender and juicy on the inside. If you're feeling something sweet to pair with your food, give the the Cookies N Cream milkshake a shot because it is delecioussss. The service is always friendly, and the restaurant is consistently clean. I love coming here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal. read more

We hadn't tried Chick-in-Waffle until a few days ago. They opened about a year ago and are having their 1 year anniversary a few days after I write this review. We have been missing out. It's really good! It was a newer, clean restaurant with quite a few tables to sit inside. I signed up for their rewards program and I'm already receiving some good deals from them. It's also fun to try to stop the clock on exactly 10:00 which will get you a free meal. I stopped it at 10:04. I lost but I was the closest of the others I saw try while I was there. lol You can order, online, at the kiosk right inside the front door, or at the register. I got the large (20 piece) chicken nugget. There's not a lot of price difference in the smallest and largest so I went with the largest, it's plenty and I had over 3 meals. It comes with a side and I chose getting the waffle! Yum. The nuggets are juicy and flavorful. The waffle was also terrific. 2 of my family had wings and the other had Asian Chili loaded fries. I'm not a fan of wings but I tasted the Asian chili fries and they were tasty! The prices are very reasonable for what you get and all the employees were very nice. We will definitely be going back!! read more

Chick N Waffle recently came to Overland Park. Being a waffle lover, I was intrigued when their store opened on Bannister road in S KC,but never made it there. When it came to Door Dash, time to ck it out. Besides the waffle, it was seeing the wings that that pushed me to order. The wings seemed a bit smaller so ordered a meal of 20 wings, side of a Belgian waffle & a frozen strawberry lemonade. In summary, I was surprised at how everything was so delicious. The wings were very crispy even under the sause. The waffle was still warm & came with very good syrup which tasted like the top rated Pear Milling syrup. And the drink was tasty & very good on a hot day. Throughly enjoyed the food. I'm a big wing fan. I'd order again just for the wings. But the waffle was good too. I'll try again couple more times, but think Chick In Waffle may go in my top 5 Door Dash stores. read more

Tried Chick-in-Waffle for carryout and ordered the 10-piece bone-in wings combo. You get two flavors with this, and I went with garlic parmesan and chicken tikka masala. Wings: The garlic parm was the standout -- fresh, flavorful, and honestly better than my usual Buffalo Wild Wings order. The tikka masala didn't really taste like tikka masala (more like a standard BWW flavor), but it was still tasty. The only drawback was the size of the wings -- smaller than I expected. Next time I'll probably go for the 16 or 20 piece. Waffle: I picked the Belgian waffle with maple syrup dip. It came hot but not crispy, with just a dusting of powdered sugar. Still sweet and enjoyable, though next time I want to try the bubble waffle for something different. Fries: Got the seasoned fries on the side -- good flavor and seasoning, though like the waffle, they weren't super crisp. Still tasty on their own, but I would've loved an option to pick dips (ranch, queso, garlic parm, etc.) instead of just being handed four maple syrups. Extras & Drinks: They also offer mac & cheese or the bubble waffle as side options, plus unique teas and lemonades for $1 more, or milkshakes for $4.50. Prices on extra dips are $0.99 each. Overall, it's a fun and unique concept -- fair-style food in a neighborhood spot. The food is flavorful, not always the crispiest or warmest on carryout, but easily fixed with a microwave or air fryer. I'll definitely be back, especially to try the bubble waffle and maybe some loaded fries or wraps/buns during happy hour (2-4 PM). read more

The first time I came to this location, I knew it was good, but the bone in wings weren't as crispy and flavorful as the other location. However, I came here again and ordered the boneless wings, fries, cookies & cream shake, mac and cheese, and a chicken wrap that I shared with my girlfriend. This food was absolutely incredible. The boneless wings were crispy, the fries were seasoned well and had a nice crunch, the cookies & cream shake made me want more even though I'm not much of a sweet person, the mac and cheese was warm and made my stomach feel light, and the chicken wrap had great flavor and even better, it was $5 as part of a limited special. The service has always been great. The workers are very helpful, kind, and friendly. You can tell they want to ensure you are having the best experience possible. Also, you can't forget the button to win a free meal. I have not won yet, but I'm sure it'll come eventually. If you're in the area, I highly recommend coming to this location you won't regret it. read more

This new location was already up to speed and serving up tasty food during my soft opening dine-in lunch experience. My garlic parmesan bun combo ($13.99 including soda drink and choice of side) was served with a smile just six minutes after I ordered at the counter. The sandwich stood 3.5" tall with plenty of moist, white, premium chicken, crunchy slaw, pickles and sauce on a fresh, toasted bun, while the macaroni & cheese was creamy and delicious. I found the service to be welcoming and cheerful with a satisfaction check. The dining area was clean and new with four TVs, 70's background music and a patio. You can also try your luck for a chance to win a free meal after you order if you have a rewards account. The prices seemed relatively high without any specials, and I wasn't a fan of the unusual $1.00 upcharge for unsweetened iced tea over sodas, but otherwise my experience was very good. read more

Chick In Waffle - Chicken Shop Near Me - Overland Park, Kansas

Our food took some time to get to our table so don't expect fast food. Which is fine because once we got our chili fries with fried chicken we devoured it without hesitation. I want to come back and try the actual chicken in waffles but I am satisfied with what I had. read more

Opening Day for this awesome place! Lines were long but they went fairly fast (deals today only if you ordered at the counter so other options weren't being used). Everyone was smiling and food was flying out the door. We ordered the classic chicken and waffle with a side of mac and cheese, 2 kids chicken bites with sides of the Belgian waffle, 2 cookies and cream shakes and a frozen pineapple freeze. SO good. I cant wait to come back and try even more. It is a fairly small space inside (might have just been the feel since there were so many people) but there is an outdoor spot as well. read more

Decided to try this place out and it didn't disappoint. The buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious. The fries were okay a bit too soggy for me. The upgraded drinks were worth it. My husband loved the chicken and waffles. The staff was friendly and efficient. The place wasn't too busy. It's very casual. We'll have to come back and try the dessert. read more

can't say enough good things about this place. from the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiling faces and helpful gestures. the young lady working was extremely friendly and asked us how our food was multiple times while eating. the manager walked us through the menu and proceeded to offer us extra fries when we were headed home. it's tucked away, but worth the hunt! everything was perfect. the counter help was so gracious in guiding us through the menu and offering suggestions. there were a couple tvs with sports on to babysit my non conversational dining husband, and we were checked on and offered back up syrup which was needed and appreciated. and their poutine?!?! outstanding. i was told you could get with or without chicken- which would transport you right up to canada. go support this place, it's awesome. read more

Great waffles and chicken. Good service. The man at the counter took great care to explain the menu to my daughter and I. It was very cold in the restaurant with the AC blasting, but there is a nice seating area outside that was perfect. read more

Was not to thrilled about the Queso Fries it was definitely bland. I was charged $3.99 for the combo for a drink and one side plus an additional $1.00 for the strawberry dragonfruit tea. I was surprised by the extra charge, as it wasn't mentioned until after payment. I also learned that refills were not included, which was not communicated beforehand. Why was I charged an extra $1.00 without being informed, and why were refills not offered for the strawberry dragonfruit tea? Before leaving, with my cup still not empty, I requested a refill, but it was denied. I will not be returning; the establishment is too small for comfortable dining, but if I were to dine in, refills should be provided. read more
