Being from California my hamburger choice of course is In And Out. Today we tried Culvers for the first time and was quite impressed with the fFish and chips plate . There fish sandwich with crispy cod is done well. There is also Reuben sandwich. Pot roast sandwich . Nice menu for a fast food place We have to go back to try the burgers. Id like to start off by saying the food. Astounding. Tonight at 8:30, we walked into a different restaurant that said they closed at 10. The wait staff gave us the "we are closing sneer", so we left. We looked up restaurants that were still opened and stumbled across Culver's. Having never been to a Culver's, we weren't sure what to expect. The manager very cheerful greeted us and assured us that they were still serving food. The food was great! The sandwiches, fries and cheese curds were hot and fresh. The drink station was well stocked and clean. To top it off, the ice cream was really tasty. Thank you for making our first experience a great one. We will be back. read more

**Update: it's amazing how one employee who has an extreme need to be right and insert herself when it was absolutely counter-productive to do so can change my view of this place. Oh, I will still come back, it's not a food safety issue, but it will not be on top of my list anymore. And I get it, she's young. Just don't my mistake and say that you read on the menu how something is supposed to be made or mention that it's a franchise or else you will get lectured about how it is NOT A FRANCHISE and that they can do anything they want and do not - absolutely do not - they just don't (she went on and on - she had a point to make after all) and kept saying how they bought this restaurant FROM Culver's. Haha. I said if that's the case they have no right to use the Culver's name and they are in some serious trademark violations and other infringements. She couldn't let it go and insisted basically that I don't know what I am talking about. She acted like the daughter of the franchise owner. Anyhow, there was a minuscule issue that another very awesome staff member was handling and this one just felt compelled to involve herself and make sure to educate me and to make sure I think twice before coming there again. Oh yeah - read my initial review of this place and see what kind of a customer I USED TO until this little entitled child had to be herself. Great job! :) I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner. I thought it was a full service/fast casual restaurant, rather, it's a really neat hybrid. It's "fast food" in the sense that you order at the counter and get a number and they bring the food to your table, but the dining room is beautifully decorated and feels just like a dining room you would find in a restaurant with a wait staff. They have a nice menu with a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, fried fish, and dinners, but I am guessing that their claim to fame is their flat pressed grilled butter burgers and frown custard. I have never been to a place where our food looked just like pictured on the menu! This may sound cliched but for us it showed that someone cares in the kitchen and this must start with the owners. The burgers were fantastic in every sense of the word. The Swiss mushroom burger was a true wow! It was beefy and the mushrooms shined through with an amazing flavor. The bun was incredibly soft and it combined with the melted Swiss made for the best we have tasted in Texas. Onion rings were perfect, and the cheese curds - first time having them - were like fried mozzarella balls. Mark, who I could not tell if he is the owner, manager, or one of the best employees I have met, suggested to try them with Ranch dressing - he was right and we really appreciated the suggestion because it made the experience that much better. I've been coming to this location for years and it has never disappointed me. The new owner, Mindi, is very involved and connects with customers well. I recommend trying the Wisconsin Swiss melt as it is my favorite. The custard is delicious;)! A concrete mixer with Oreos is the way to go! We went here for spirit night and everything was good. The place is small and clean. The burgers are good. The meal came with french fries and a drink. It's so close to my home and so yummy that it scares me! The food is fresh, made to order and for a fast casual style restaurant the service is super friendly. It feels family owned and operated and has a real positive community presence. I typically go for the grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad just so I can have one of their awesome desserts drizzled in caramel. The dining room is cleaned promptly even at their busiest hours. This culvers is a joke a main key item on the menu and they run out of it. Then you look at the menu to see no warning of (*limted quantities or *while supplies last) and there are no sign warning you they are out of that product. So you call and get the whole "policy spiel" about ordering limited quantities while they act condescending and rude for even bothering them with this (and this was a manager). But this is such a main item why wouldn't they order more some would ask, but culvers is afraid to order enough for a days time because what if we don't sell it. My thought is if it's good enough you won't have a problem selling it. My experience was horrible. read more

GREAT FOOD!! But when ever I get ice cream one employee take their fingers( who knows where have been) and presses the cookie dough on with their bare, gross, fingers and one fell off and he put it back on!!! The old location on Central Expressway just about did this restaurant in with all the continuing (and even now) road construction. We found getting in and out of that location a hassle. The new location is much better, however it is off the beaten path and has become more a neighborhood location rather than the Interstate location before. The service and hamburgers are among the best in the area. We love the crispy edge of the hamburgers. Reminds us of the old grilled hamburgers of the 1950s. The place is spotless and kept that way even during rush lunch hours. We appreciate that from management. read more

First time here and I really enjoyed it! First off the workers were super friendly. I like how the menu isn't super huge so it doesn't make it that overwhelming to decide, but there is still a lot of options to choose from. I went for the double deluxe bacon cheeseburger. It was fantastic! It was presented very well and wasn't sloppy thrown together like most casual/fast food burger places. I like how it was in a box. The burger patties he selves were very thin and smashed down. That's some of my favorite kind of burgers! The patties weren't salty at all or greasy. There was a nice amount do lettuce and great sized pieces of tomato and onions. Fresh as well, not limp vegetables. The bacon was fairly typical of these kinds of burger joints, but maybe even a little bit better than normal. I would definitely get the bacon burger again and just any burger from here in general. Really enjoyed it. Also the bun was perfectly toasted and did have a nice hint of buttery crispiness to it! :) I also got a custard sundae. One scoop vanilla with hot fudge, caramel, and Oreo. Oh my goodness I would definitely come back just for this! It was very generously scooped and the combination of everything was more than enough. The custard was nice and smooth. The workers added plenty of toppings without having to ask, which is something I'm always adamant about! I also tried my boyfriends mint flavor of the day and it was really good, but we both decided mine was much better. Culver's is definitely soooo much better than your average fast food place. Here you get quick, friendly service AND quality food. The Pepper Grinder burger was great. The Buffalo tenders had mild flavor but were amazingly tender (you can tell it's real chicken)! read more

I thought I'd give Culver's a try today so I bought a double bacon burger to go. When I got home, I found one of those square plastic bread clips inside the burger. I called the store and spoke with a young man who asked if I wanted to bring the burger back and get a refund. I'm not even going to waste my time.
