We headed to the the new location for a burger. Typically I get a frozen custard and one of their delicious salads or the fish. I really enjoyed the single deluxe burger and shared the cheese curds with my hubby. Good stuff! If you've not eaten cheese curds, you're missing out. This new location doesn't have the diner feel like the old one but it's nice. The decor reminds me of the 80s. There are the same old employees that I'm used to seeing from the old place. I went to the old location off of 75 several years ago, unfamiliar with the area. For the past couple years I've had an eye out for "that burger place" but couldn't remember the name or exactly where it was. Eventually I forgot about it until I was randomly on El Dorado Road and passed Culver's. I immediately u-turned into the parking lot. My memory of Culver's Famous Butterburgers paled in comparison to the real thing. The bun was soft and fresh, the meat juicy and flavorful. And then the cheese curds - so much tastier than you'd expect with a name like cheese curds. The restaurant itself is a fast casual, old school feeling diner. The staff was friendly and the homemade root beer is as good as you'd find at an A&W. My only regret is that I didn't go for one of their frozen custard treats. I highly recommend and plan to visit when back in that area (a bit too far from Dallas). read more

I think this place may top Whataburger and In N' Out. Great burgers, really better than the fast food setting would indicate. This particular trip to Culvers was solely to try their acclaimed custard, which was worth it!! My next trip I will have to try some of their other menu items, which I heard were very tasty as well. The initial impression of Culvers was it seemed like any other fast food joint. However, unlike any other fast food joint there was a good size crowd and quite the line. There are a variety of ways to get the custard with a variety of toppings or mix-ins. I got the Concrete Mixer with vanilla frozen custard with two different mix-ins. The custard was extremely smooth and very creamy! I would most definitely recommend this frozen custard to anyone! Try it at least once, but I guarantee that won't be your last time. read more

Great service....the burger was ok...nothing special to write home about. A plain buttery bun with the works (lettuce, tomato, onion). My brother and I ordered doubles with cheese. We also got an order of crinkle cut fries and cheese curds. Everything was unfortunately bland and had little to no texture. The biggest highlights were the shakes. Now these were really good. If I were writing a review solely on those then they would've received a 4 maybe 5 star review. I wish I had room for some of the mixed in custards but we went a little overboard on ordering everything and simply couldn't. If I lived in the area I'd surely give them another chance. I'm happy to have tried to this joint, but for now the 3 stars will have to do. I suggest coming here for the desserts. read more

For what this place is (fast food) it is incredible. I don't see how anyone could give this joint less than 4 stars. This location is extremely clean but does not have a drive through option. You will need to enter the restaurant (and there isn't an overabundance of parking) to get your food. Their burgers are amazing. The buns taste delicious and the meat has just the crispiest of edges with a great flavor to it. I would compare their patties to five guys but give Culvers the edge. My only complaint is that they skimped a bit on the toppings so next time I will simply ask for extra veggies. They serve crinkle fries which are good. Not quite as good as Del Tacos but close. Drinks are pepsi products, which in my eyes is a pleasant change from what everyone else serves. Other products on the menu include cheese curds (Good, but not quite as good as A&Ws), breaded pork tenderloin, chicken, rueben, etc. Pork tenderloin is not a common thing around here so I'll give that one a try soon. Their custard is delicious. Pick up a pint from their freezer to go since you won't have room for dessert after the rest of the deliciousness. They had lots of awesome sounding flavors and all kinds of sundae/shake options. Yum. I didn't even get to try their root beer which is their own brand and I've heard is good. Too much good stuff to try in a single visit. Fast food prices folks. This is fast food and is in a league of its own when it comes to their offerings. If you're trying to give this place a low star rating, please compare it to a McDonalds and re-think what you're writing. read more

The patties on the "butterburgers" at Culver's are thin but very tasty. In fact I had the Double Deluxe, which is a good size if you're hungry and comes with two patties + cheese/lettuce/tomato/pickles (and onions if you want - I don't!). Our food came out fast to the table and all orders were correct. While my burger was great, the crinkle-cut fries were mediocre. Prices are reasonable and overall it was a nice experience. The food was prepared super fast, and the lady who took our order was very patient and kind. The milkshake and root beer float my SO and I ordered were delicious. The cheese curds and chili fries were great too. The burgers were okay but that's just my preference, it doesn't reflect on the staff. However, the main concern I had was that the tables were still very close to one another and the room felt packed. Culver's used to be our favorite hamburger spot!! Today we thought as we had to get out to go to the bank that would see if Culver's were doing take out. So we ordered by phone while in the parking lot then ate in the parking lot. Hamburgers had no taste. My wife's fries were cold and tasted like something they had left over from the day before. My fries were hot so we shared those. If you can't keep up the standards you have shown us during good times then you have no business being open during these trying times. We were fans of the old site on 75 and decided to try the new location after a long day of work. My wife arrived before I did and went in to the restaurant. Immediately, she noticed the person at the counter wiping his nose with his hand. Not exactly appetizing. The another employee carried out the trash and returned to his position of preparing food without washing his hands. Strike two. She brought this to the attention of the manager, who seemed more annoyed at a complaint than anything else. This place has now been crossed off the list, sorry to say. I'm not a germophobe, but I think employees at any restaurant should practice basic hygiene. read more

If you are looking for a treat, look no further. The frozen custard is sooo rich, thick and creamy! This was my first time trying it so I don't have anything to compare it to but I would choose it over regular ice cream any day. The kids tried the flavor of the day (chocolate caramel twist) and couldn't stop raving about it. I went for vanilla with caramel and cashews. Worth every delicious calorie.
