Love love love this place it's like my home. I go there 2 times a week my favorite thing there is the Culver's Deluxe with extra Mayo

Culver's in Layton is a few years "new", which makes it even more weird that so many things feel... sticky. And I do mean a pattern, not a one-off. Front door? Sticky. Restroom door handle? Sticky. Table? Also sticky. After the third visit with the same issue, I felt like it was worth saying something to the management. Now, the food itself is a different story. The burgers are simple, solid, and always hot. I can honestly say I've never been served a cold burger here. The cheese curds are a hit with my family, and I'll give credit where it's due: they're pretty darn good. The shakes and frozen custard are excellent and absolutely worth ordering. The chicken? It's fine. Not bad, not magical. Kind of in the "you could make something similar at home" category. If you love ranch, that may help the experience along. Drive-thru is where things can go sideways. Be prepared for delays, repeating your order, and the occasional feeling that the crew is having way more fun than the customers are. Maybe it's an off-day thing, maybe it's a pattern, but it has happened enough that I expect it now. (I don't care if they're having fun. It's the screaming through the intercom, inattentive order taking because they're screwing around that I am simple over it) Would I go back? Yeah. The food is good enough that I probably will...not. (my kids will) Would I prefer to be in the passenger seat while someone else handles the ordering? Also yeah. For food that's not bad but not great (just "meh") I'll go down the street to El Burrito instead. read more

I mean, the food is good but the hamburger patties are getting thinner and thinner. Every time I get here you can almost see through them. You pay for a double you don't even get a quarter pound of meat. They're so thin kind of disappointing. Other than that the food was good oh, and the cheese curds definitely are good but don't expect a gooey cheesy center. read more

They are a little ways off the freeway, a couple of minutes drive. Not ideal for a stop when on a road trip. But, when my Culver's fish sandwich loving wife says she needs a Culver's fish sandwich, we go to the first available. Their butter burgers are good. They almost smash the burgers when cooking it. I like that you can choose what topping go on your burgers. They make a good butter burger. read more

I drove to this location to get my free birthday scoop, because the location near my home mistreated me the last few times I ate there. My expectations for a better experience were low, as I didn't want to be disappointed again. It is the typical layout where you enter and order at the counter and get a number and sit down if you're eating in, or wait near the front for them to call your number to take out your meal. Surprisingly a this location, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to choose any type of ice cream for my free scoop, including the flavor of the day. I have been a fan of Culver's food, but didn't order anything other than the ice cream on this visit. However, I will most likely return to this location for my next lunch or dinner meal. It can be pricey depending on what you order, but if you plan ahead, there are deals to be had. read more

Other restaurants have a drive-through with cars stacked up, but have their food, hot and ready at the pick up window. I've seen this at Chick-fil-A McDonald's and Wendy's. At Culver's if you're lucky enough to order in the go through talk box you pay at the window they put a sticker on your mirror and you pull ahead for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, joining each other unlucky customers who are also waiting. Why can't this restaurant do what swig does and take everybody's orders in advance so it's ready instead of having to wait so long? For the last 20 times I've gone I think I've had my food ready at the window twice. Otherwise I just sit in the parking with a number on my Sideview mirror hoping my shake isn't melted in my food is still hot. Sometimes I wonder if I should just go inside and wait. read more

Always check your order. Twice I've ordered their premium Burger. I received two patties, no condiments no mustard, no pickle, no tomato, nothing but two slabs of roadkill. They were of no use to my complaints I've ordered soup and received chili. read more

Worst experience I've had at a "drive thru" I pulled through and waited by the curb like told and began to wait, I had ordered two shakes so was expecting a fairly short wait, 20 minutes in no one was in sight and all other cars had left around me, multiple people also walked past me with numbers past mine saying it'll be right there, kept waiting and nothing, finally I took my number in to the counter and watched an employee pull them both out of a tiny freezer, both shakes were slightly melted and one was about an inch away from the top, when I drive through at a place I never expect to have to walk in to the establishment, do not recommend the drive thru whatsoever, if you can call it that because I had to go in anyway read more

First time at Culver's today after seeing great reviews. I tried their fish and chips and got cheese curds and ice cream on the side for the full experience. I'm sad to say for the price it's not worth it. We also waited 25 mins in the parking lot ( was not during lunch or dinner rush) The cheese curds were cold by the time they brought them out. The fish and chips was not very flavorful. The best item that I got was the chocolate ice cream. 0/ 10 don't recommend. read more

Third visit here and I'm starting to wonder if the AC is set to "Arctic Tundra." All three times it's been absolutely freezing--one visit was so cold I had to step outside to warm up, which feels backwards. Today's food was... meh. The burger came out cold, while the fries and onion rings were hot, so I'm guessing my burger took a nap somewhere while its sidekicks finished cooking. I love many things in life, but cold burgers are not one of them. Shoutout to Kim though--service was great. I just have to reiterate that the employees here are SO NICE! It definitely makes me want to come back to a place where I've been treated good. They are just genuinely nice people. I noticed a new update. You can skip the counter and order directly from your table. You scan the QR code, place the order online, and then they bring it directly to your table. How cool is that?! Some tips for the workers because every single time I've come to Culver's, a few things are forgotten: 1. if someone orders fries, they probably want fry sauce or ketchup so either ask or just put it in the bag. 2. Always put napkins in the bag. 3. If someone orders something that requires a fork to eat it, like coleslaw, put cutlery in the bag. read more

If I could give this Layton location ZERO stars, I would. We're from Wi and Culver's is one of our absolute favorite fast food places so when we moved to Utah we were excited to have Culver's nearby. Unfortunately EACH AND EVERY SINGLE TIME we have an awful experience & even worse service. it seems like this location is run by highschoolers who simply don't care- I guess they get paid regardless so why even bother, right? we've been the only customers in the drive through before and have still had to wait 30+ min. The only reason why we even get our food is because we end up having to walk in and all we see are 4-5 employees behind the counter just chatting away who just glare at you when you ask about your order. Then they hand you cold, dry food, completely melted ice cream and get your order wrong to top it off. When you walk away you can literally hear them talking about you like the customer did something wrong? Seriously? We finally just gave up and will drive the extra 20 min to the Bountiful location and it's like night and day experience. Food comes out warm and correct within minutes, even when it's busy. Also- an automated curated response asking us to submit to the website is worthless. Do better. read more

This review is about the service at the Layton UT location. I saw the huge menu on the wall and was instantly overwhelmed. I was tired and didn't want to deal with all that. The woman at the register immediately pointed out the kids' meals. She said the items were the same size as on the adult menu, but much less expensive. I could choose all the toppings on the burgers, there were choices of sides, and each meal came with a small drink and a scoop of frozen custard. Perfect! The dining room was clean and attractive. The staff delivers the orders to the customers, which is so much better than standing around waiting for the food. I'll be back. read more

Obviously it's a fast food chain and you aren't stopping by for the fine dining experience. However, a huge shout out to the staff. A majority of the workers are high school students. Each time we have visited this location, the team is friendly, efficient and hard working. The dining room is always clean and organized. The staff provides a level of customer service you rarely find these days just about anywhere you go. The food is always good and they get the orders right. (That is a win in and if itself!) The owner of this franchise is fortunate to have a group that cares and takes care of the customers. Great job to this team of workers. Restaurant has two drive through lanes which makes it a quick drive through and then you pull forward and wait for your food to come out. The cheese curds were the best part of the meal. I'd take these over their crinkly fries any day. Spicy chicken sandwich was alright, not as good as Popeyes or Chick-fil-a but better then McDonalds or KFC. Was made of real chicken and not just a chicken patty like some places however it was not as crispy as I would have liked. So overall not a bad option for fast food but I think I'd choose some other fast food places over this one given the choice. read more

I went here and ordered fries and a burger and had to wait at least 15 minutes. There were 4 staff members just standing around while I was waiting for my food. When I got my food they messed up my order and I had to go back to get the things I ordered which took even longer. If this wasn't a fast food place I wouldn't have complained about the time since the waiting time is normal, but here?? It wasn't even full or anything either. South Jordan Culver's has been my go to for fish and chips. They have really good cocktail sauce to complement your meal. They have tartar sauce too. They have a large variety of entrées and desserts. I also really like their mushroom burger. They have really soft quality gluten free buns. That is unusual. It is hard to find gluten free quality buns. I have always been pleasantly pleased with their service. The South Jordan location is my favorite location. read more

Culver's - Double butter burger and fries - Fast Food Near Me - Layton, Utah

I wish I could love Culver's more because they are starting with a few nice details, like fresh beef and a smashburger-type griddle sear. The crust on both of our double-patty Butterburgers was well done--but the patties are so thin that even with their fresh ground beef mix, it was surprisingly under seasoned and very under-beefy in flavor. Don't even try a single patty or be prepared for a "Where's the beef?" flashback. Having a fast food rye melt (Wisconsin Swiss Melt) as an option: great. Yet the cheese-- while awesome that it was not an American singles-type cheese-- was not tented at all while the patties were searing on the flattop, so neither of our sandwiches came with nice oozy, melty cheese. My wife's Mushroom Swiss Butterburger was pretty sad in the volume of grilled mushrooms and onions, too. We were very pleased to find the Wisconsin cheese curds as a side option. They are not cheap at $6+ for a large serving. But they deliver tasty cheesy flavor and nice melty/crusty contrast when you get a large breaded curd. Sadly a large amount of our bag of curds were small little turd-curds that tasted more like breading than cheese. At least better than crinkle fries--the standard side here. Onion rings were good--not the best I've found for the cost but at least don't taste over breaded nor made-ahead frozen. But they weren't as thickly cut as I'd expect for a "freshly thick-cut onion ring". The Culver's brand root beer would be a bigger draw for me if it was actually served in a cold mug like shown on the menu. Instead it is the aerated texture like you get for any fountain soda. Not bad. Not that super special. Especially when dinner for the two of us was $25. read more

You can't venture too far into a snobby description of the place. It's a Culver's. And like all of these kinds of places they are all the same. The food is all the same. Which is not bad. Actually they have some pretty good food. Which when it is all said and done is all that counts. Eat here. The root beer is excellent and so is the custard. The staff is friendly and helpful. The burger's are amazing, a little on the salty side, but hot, and fresh. They have chicken strips that are lightly coated and juicy. The concrete mixers are so creamy and delicious, be sure to do add ins or flavor of the week. Service is friendly, even though the majority are young ones, you can tell they've been trained well. Its always busy here, so be patient. read more

I've seen Culver's popping up around town and I've had several people recommend their butter burger. I wasn't super impressed with it. It was an okay burger but with Burger Stop across the street, it is hard to justify the price and quality at Culver's. The drive through experience was interesting. After I ordered and paid, I was asked to pull around to the side of the restaurant and wait for my food. I wasn't sure if I was in the right spot, no clear signs and no other cars waiting. It was probably ten minutes or waiting before my food came out. The ice cream is good. So that is something. read more

First time here. Spent $14.26 for 4 very small chicken fingers, a very small order of fries, and a soupy shake. The 'frozen yogurt' is definitely NOT frozen. Quality of the chicken fingers and fries was pretty good, but everything is snack size! Service was good. read more
