I really like this place. The staff is so friendly. I think the custard is just OK and not as good as Freddie's but the burgers and cheese curds are the best. They are so good that I've been here several times since moving to Lawrence. read more

Stopped by while on a road trip. Drive thru was backed up so went in to order and just a couple in the order line. Ended up waiting 20 minutes for a couple hamburgers. Was given discount card to use another time at this location but live in kc so just chalked it up not to visit during dinner time. Food was good. read more

Not up to par for Culvers. My concrete was only about 2/3 filled and it was runny. They gave me ranch dressing instead of tartar sauce. We ordered two meals, we got zero napkins and just one set of silverware. Everything was fresh and tasted good. But really sloppy service. read more

My family goes here often and each and every time, we get great service and good food. From the time you order to when you get your food, the staff is friendly and very helpful. They come around to tables and clear them for you and ask you if there is anything they can do. That personal attention is what makes this place great. The food may take a while to get there but it is very good. I enjoy the variety of food they offer. This is how far they will go for their customers: My daughter had been sick with a sore throat and was diagnosed with strep. She was being treated with antibiotics but was not able to go out Trick-or-Treating for Halloween that year. The manager came by and asked if everything was ok and what my daughter was going to be dressed up as. She told him she wasn't able too because of strep. He took her over to a little case with Culver items for sale. He let her choose one because she wasn't able to go out for Halloween. That impressed me. read more

One of my favorites for quick food. Shockingly great service for fast food, always cooked fresh. Quality food every time. Don't care that it costs more than other fast food. It's 10x better. Cheese curds and chicken tenders for the win. read more

The food was good! Decent priced. My mom loved their root beer. I think they have lots of options and something for everyone! They do have salad for a vegetarian option! So that is excellent. I love their frozen custard so much! The vanilla flavor is very good as well as some in the flavor of the day. Last time, I bought four pints of frozen custard for a party. The price is only $7 or $8 total, which is not expensive at all. The waiter was so nice in taking care of the package for the frozen custard in the extremely hot weather in Lawrence. The mint Oreo flavor is so good that the pint was almost gone in an hour. read more

The streak continues-- never met a Culver's I haven't liked. Kind of wish it was located further north than it is, but that's about the only thing I mark it down on. Food is what you know from Culver's- greasy, delicious burgers. Awesome frozen custard. But what always sets Culver's apart is the service. I've said it before, I don't know how but they seem to attract the friendliest people to work there. And they must train them exceptionally well, because the service is uniformly good at each Culver's I visit. This one was no exception. read more

Culvers serves (warm) gluten free Udi's buns! This location charges $1.00 for the bun and requires you to assemble the burger yourself but it's definitely worth it if you're looking for a quick GF burger. They also have GF soups available. The only negative about this location is that their fries are cooked in the same equipment as their breaded items. This would be the standard drive thru meal if I could eat the fries! read more

Generally speaking we like Culver's, at least the ones located in Wisconsin. Our daughter now lives in Lawrence Kansas and ate at this location this afternoon. She went through the drive in and ordered chicken tenders basket with fries and a shake and took it home to eat. Two hours later, she is sick to her stomach and diarrhea. Thinking she was coming down with a stomach virus she went to the walk in clinic for some nausea medication. What she has is food poisoning. The only meal she had eaten today was from this establishment, I told her to call and advise them so they could look over their chicken incase it was a bad batch or something basically to just let them know there was an issue. The supervisor told her she was sorry and she wanted to get her manager on the phone to talk with her. She came back on the line to tell her "Yum, we are super busy here right now so my manager can't talk to you and he wants to talk to someone else first so, yeah he said he would call you back if not tonight yet he'll call tomorrow." REALLY?!? you are super busy and you can't take a call from someone about Doctor documented FOOD POISONING? Instead, you will continue selling the chicken strips from that batch to unsuspecting patrons. She wasn't looking for anything other than to let you know there was a terrible problem with a menu item. This is a terrible business practice. Had the general manager took the time to talk to her someone else would not be getting food poisoning from their product tonight but, I guess they just don't care. If I knew who was the franchise owner I would call them myself but, instead I will post this on your site as well as the corporate site so they know what happened here this afternoon and now tonight. Shortly after I posted a comment the franchise owner contact my daughter about the issue. I appreciate that he reached out to her. read more

Really great for fast food, the butter burgers are a go to. Slow to get food out but it's worth the wait for hot, newly cooked food. My only complaint is that they don't honor their coupons - I tried to use a coupon from them that wasn't expired and they still found a reason not to honor it. read more
