I have two Culver's in my area but I prefer this location for their excellent employees (which is consistently good @ every Culver's), super fresh food, and fast service. I'm so happy I choose to eat here on my cheat days! The fries were crunchy, delicious, and the right temperature--not greasy or too salty- just right. The burger was absolutely perfect. Their signature root beer is simply the best, but I wish they served it on tap like they used to in the Wisconsin locations I visited when I was growing up. The reasons for going here are twofold. First, the food is much better than McDonald's, Burger King, or essentially any other fast food* chain. Second, and more importantly, is the politeness and courteousness of the staff. Every time I either walk in the door or go through the drive-thru, I never feel rushed or hurried. They are extremely patient as I figure out what combination of scumptulation I am going to order. Also, while they have great burgers as you would expect, I was pleasantly surprised at how good and varied their fish menu is. *I'm not sure fast food is the right designation for this establishment. while the food doesn't take as long as in a more formal restaurant, it doesn't seem like they just have baskets of burgers waiting for you either. The people at the drive-thru don't seem to give much care if they have your order correct. They just want you out of their faces. They speak so quickly, they are actually speaking over you while you attempt to answer their questions at lightening pace. I have no idea if my order was correct because I couldn't understand the person reciting it back to me via speed reading. I hadn't even answered the question, "what kind of sauce do you want?" before she moved on to the next question. I am not elderly. I do not having processing issues, hearing problems, or any other impairments that would make it more difficult to order 3 things from a drive-thru but here we are. Once I got to the window Savanah, greeted me with a cheerful attitude and told me to not worry about anything. She doesn't know, but I cried afterwards cause it was something I needed to hear. When you go into a fast food restaurant at night and the entire staff looks like their under 18, expectations are very low. Not here. The staff was working well together, No one was standing around, they were all doing something. No one was messing around and everyone was very polite and respectful. The people who work here are very nice. I ordered the seasonal pumpkin caramel concrete and for some reason it wasn't mixed correctly and I had vanilla at the bottom. Keep in mind that a small size is actually very big and it's better to get a mini. I recommend that they make it a no left turn rule from Irving Park Road into there driveway as it backs up traffic. I have been waiting for a Culver's to open around Chicago and now it has. I love the location. Close near my house. The day I went was within the week it opened and on a Saturday. Overall, the service was great despite the crowd. The food was nice and hot and well made. The staff is friendly. Which is a bonus. Great tasting burgers along with the ice cream. I was excited to see a Culver's on the North Side. This is the fast-food chain I'd been waiting for, and I was not disappointed. The food was as good as any of the Wisconsin locations I've been to, including the original in Sauk City and the world's-largest off I-90. The service is as good as one can expect, from greetings upon entering to the order-taker to the people cleaning off the tables. Yes, the parking is a tad confusing. We pulled into the drive-through not knowing that the parking lot is behind the restaurant. However, a exit in the drive-through lets you correct this error and park in the main lot. Went through the drive thru and ordered the flavor of the day (caramel cashew) in a cake cone. They handed me my ice cream which was plain vanilla custard with drizzled caramel and topped w cashews... on a CONE. Caramel was dripping all over me and my car, all the cashews fell off And i had to ask for extra napkins and a cup to dump the cone in.
