I had a dentist appointment and this place was right around the corner. I usually go to another take out place near by when I'm at my dentist but I had a coupon that was expiring soon so I decided to come here. I got there a little after 7pm and was surprised the line was so long for later at night but I was already parked so I went in anyways. I ordered two sandwiches and they were prepared much faster than I expected but still in a very neat and orderly way. The coupons they offered were a great deal! I had the turkey and provolone which I had for dinner and am excited to try my Italian today. Staff is friendly too, and they have a good sized parking lot. I thought for sure I reviewed this place by now. This is our go-to location because they are speedy, clean, and accurate. We haven't had one bad sub from here which is a big plus. Their GF bread is Udis from my understanding; I love it both hot and cold. My go to cold is tuna fish or turkey and my go to hot is the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. This spot just opened and so far, so good! I mean, this is a Jersey Mike's so you know what your getting yourself into. Its a Subway like restaurant, but much better quality and pretty generous ingredients. I ordered a small sub ahead of time on the app. I showed up a little early and it was ready to go. The food was great and quite filling for a smaller sandwich. Nothing to really complain about as everything went perfect. Food is great, employees-not very. Went in one day and the employees were extremely attentive. We learned there was a regional manager there. That day only the regular manager was subpar. We asked why the #4 sandwich wasn't listed on the menu board and he said "it's not very popular...." Way to support the business, pal! Then a few weeks later we went in and waited literally over five minutes for one of the four employees not serving anyone (because we were the only customers) to acknowledge us. When one did she was not wearing a hat and had food on her hair, likely because she kept touching her hair. Is no one happy to have a job anymore? These were adults, not teenagers. I got a free regular sub today via a t-mobile Tuesdays coupon and holy crap I'm so happy I did. I love sandwiches and being a sandwich lover I'm left with two options for sandwiches on the go...subway (no thanks) or potbelly(tasty sandwiches, with a side of bitchy service from a teenager) but NO LONGER am I limited in sandwiches on the go...I've discovered jeresey mikes! After I walked out of another Jersey Mike's (posted reviews on Yelp) went a few miles out of my way to this one. Cannot believe it is the same franchise. Clean, well lit, easy to get in from street, easy to get into store, wonderful and thoughtful help, and excellent selection. Even when things go wrong they make it up many-fold: one night they were out of lettuce and told everyone prior to ordering same. That was OK with me. Well, without me asking they added extra tomato, a extra strip of bacon and I swear literally doubled the meat. (run out of lettuce more often). As I carry out, was worried that having it Mike's Way would make for a soggy sandwich. Not the case, their packaging is excellent. A few minor and I mean minor issues: their front door can be hard to open, getting out of the parking lot given the traffic on Peterson Avenue forces me to go right and slightly out of my way. Wish they had a drive-through window but have not found a JM that does. Am a Coke fan and not of Pepsi. However, as said minor issues and in no way affects my going back and back. read more

In the past I have never been a fan of the brand. Their cold subs just weren't compelling. It's good just not something I need to go out of my way for. Since this new location opened on Peterson and I commute through here, I have been in a steady amount. Hot subs seems to catch my interest. Extra hot with jalapenos and giardinera! On the go it seems like a great option but as others have commented, it drags. You'd think a phone or web order would be faster. Time and again that proves incorrectly because those delivery people are waiting extra time with you. More than once it has taken quite awhile before my sandwich or order (rather) was ready. If you plan to pickup, give yourself twenty minutes of extra time before arrival. From the time of placing an order, that seems to be the sweet spot. Being the pandemic and it being hard on businesses to find suitable workers blah, I give them the time without complaining. But, when they have a full staff on deck, ingredients at the ready and it still goes over 25 minutes for two subs what gives? PS it's currently about 35F outside and inside it's hella cold. First time at the Sauganash location and it was truly disappointing. Came in around 8pm with no one in front of me and took 25 minutes to get my food, which was only 2 subs. I had 3 people ordering after me who got their food alot faster than I did. Manager did apologize, but it really didn't make sense how my food got pushed back in the line of orders. People who work behind the counter are nice, but it is clear there team work in getting orders done properly needs improvement. It has a small parking lot shared with the Dunkin Donuts and has some seating inside. In terms of the food, it was just okay. Nothing that makes me want to come back. This is the best Jersey Mike's that we have been to. The food is always fresh, delicious, and consistent. Service is great, they're friendly, and attentive. We placed an online pick up order, and our order was ready when we arrived. Jeff was polite, and friendly. We love Jersey Mike's because we never feel cheated, and definitely get out moneys worth eating here. Its definitely one of our favorite places to eat. The reward program is great aswell. Tried to get a refund and that was a problem too. Apparently, there was an issue with refunding an order placed on the app so I was asked to provide my name and number.
