Very slow, food is bland, employees seem lost and confused, maybe they are. Service is terrible, especially when they're busy. But even when this place is somewhat empty it still takes about 20 minutes to get our food. We usually have to go ask about it then they put it together while we stand there. This shouldn't happen. Mashed potatoes and gravy is tasteless, cheese curds taste like seasonings only, the burgers and sandwiches fall apart, everything is hard to eat. The ice cream and shakes are good but not what we go for. We were so happy to see something "different" open in this area but it's really no different. Horrible manager, forgets orders and get a lot of them wrong.

Probably a 2 1/2 star for the food but parking off to the side and waiting for food all 4 visits is annoying. 3 out of the 4 times they brought me someone else's food and I had to correct them. Spicy chicken sandwich is no different than McDonald's spicy chicken sandwich other that culvers is $5 and McDonald's is a $1. Sides are no different than anywhere else. Burger was tasty. Went through the drive thru, it was sort of slow but I figured that's to be expected with the kind of food they make. When they finally brought the food out I noticed my little boys ice cream was missing, they asked me twice to provide the receipt to prove they really forgot it. I felt like I was being a pain at that point so I just left after they brought it out. Got home (15 min drive) and realized they also forgot the milk that comes with the kids meal, the soup that came with my husband's meal, and the extra side of mashed potatoes I paid for. Really disappointed they forgot FOUR items from my meal. And my meal total was nearly $30, so I expected a lot more when I spend that much. Really disappointed. read more

Culver's is our favorite family restaurant! The menu is excellent. The price is affordable! We like it all! Chili, Soup, Butter Burgers, Cod Fish Dinners, Chicken, Fries, Salads, Broccoli, Pretzel Bites, Cheese Curds, Ice Cream Desserts! Culver's is a great place to go with friends or family. We have 4 wonderful married children and 15 very dear grandchildren who all enjoy visits to Culver's together or separately. Its a clean, cheerful, pleasant atmosphere!! read more

Was excited to spend an evening with the family at the new Culver's. Little did I know that it would be an entire evening. We're 90 minutes into the experience at this point. Every one of orders was incorrect when the food finally arrived (it took over 30 minutes). We've been waiting 40 minutes for our custards at this point. My wife just went to complain and they had no record of our order (we had a receipt and a table number). I get that they are a new location, but they've been open for two weeks. There is zero leadership and the openers should be embarrassed. I've been impressed by other Culver's locations and was excited when I saw that we were getting one in Bountiful. This experience has been awful. The dining room was filthy and looked older than other locations that have been open for years. The management and staff have been nice but completely incompotent. Five starts for a fast food joint. Please compare apples to apples people, geez. Our first time here we had a kind of mediocre experience with our cashier, but the manager went above and beyond at the end when we realized that the kid's meal comes with a scoop of ice cream, but you have to redeem a tag that comes in the kid's menu's bag. We didn't know so we threw it away. He said it was ok and showed my son all the options for toppings and I could tell he wanted to go above and beyond to the customers. The food was very tasty and fresh. Culver's has its own root beer, which was really tasty and I loved that they offered a diet option too. Fry sauce is a staple in Utah, so high marks for that too. Oh yeah, I haven't mentioned the concrete! This is what they are known for, I'll let other reviewers go there. It's open on Sundays, so that beats the competition down south read more

I never knew ordering a burger could be so complicated. If you've never been to a Culver's you may want to study the menu before showing up. It's a strange mash up of pictures, burgers, yogurts, shakes fried food, chicken, drinks and customizations. There's no rhyme or reason to it. It doesn't help they've put the menu board in a place that makes it difficult to read from the drive thru. I can almost understand the lack of patience from the teenager working the window. I ended up just grabbing a menu off the internet. Seemed simple enough. A handful of burgers with pictures to describe all of them. I picked one for me and two baseline before going back to the board to decipher sides and shakes. I ordered the first side I could find and that's when the kid taking my order lost his patience. "Sir, Sir, Sir..." I guess I wasn't giving him enough attention. "All of our burgers come plain. You need to tell me what you want on them." Now I'm looking at their board for the section that has toppings. Why have pictures of complete burgers if you need to order everything you want on the burger? Why have a dozen "different" burgers on the menu if you're required to customize each one? Anyway, this kid snapping at me made me lose interest in the Rosetta stone they left in the drive-thru. I just wanted a burger. "I'm not seeing what options I need to pick from. What do you have?" He rattles off some things. He's obviously gone through this list before. I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary, so... "just put everything on them." Why bother with complicating the ordering process? It would be easier for everyone involved to default to everything and let people ask to exclude things. You've already put together a menu rich with burger names. The kid could've been taught it's better to ask if I want everything on it rather than chiding me for not instantly understanding how they've redesigned the drive thru experience. The order board starts filling up. 1 specialty burger with everything 3 burgers with everything 1 onion rings Now I'm distracted from figuring out shakes, frozen yogurt and splits. "You have 3 burgers there, I ordered 2" "You said 3 burgers" "No, I said 2" "How many burgers did you want?" "Two" "Four?" He raises the count on the screen to 4 "No... two... I ordered 2 burgers." He adjusts it back to 3 then to none and finally lands on 2. "Does that look good? Anything else?" At this point, I've given up on a shake. I'm tempted to just drive off. I've had a long day. I just want a burger and it would be more hassle to decide on another burger joint. There's no shortage of them. "Sure, whatever." I get up to the window. I see the kid wearing the headset with his back to me. His coworker takes my money, hands me number 42 and asks me to pull forward to the waiting area. The ordeal is almost done. I've had a long day. The kid back there has probably also had a long day. I'm sure the poorly designed menu didn't help. A few minutes go by and a girl comes out with a couple of bags. She hands one to the truck ahead before heading towards me with the other and asks "order 32?" with a big fuck you smirk on her face. The food was fine. Just another burger joint. Super excited to get a Culver's in bountiful so I didn't have to travel to West Valley or Midvale anymore... well until I tried to use my free meal frequent customer card. The manager on duty said I could only use it at those locations only because Culver's is owned by different owners. Okay I get it, sort of but what I don't get is why wouldn't they just Honor it this time so we wouldn't have to go back to one of those locations now that there is a closer location, so we just decided to order anyway... why not we were already there? We received our food, our fries were half full, not fresh and the burgers were cold. Me and my family had never had a bad experience at Culver's and we have been to many! THIS WAS THE FIRST! Talking about disappointed as we were excited for Culver's to come to our neighborhood. Third time must be the charm. We have been there two times to dine-in and wasn't really impressed by the cleanliness of the seating area. I have yet to see anyone clean off the tables. Both times I had to wipe down the table myself. The second visit I ordered a shake. When it was delivered you could tell that it had been on the counter for too long and was starting to melt. On our third visit we decided to order a shake for takeout. The drive-thru had several cars waiting for their food so we decided to go in thinking it would be faster. Big mistake. We ordered our shakes and waited patiently for them. During our wait we noticed that the shakes would be made and then often sat on the counter for 5-10 minutes before someone took them to the tables. After waiting for over 30 minutes I asked about our order. I gave them the number and they told me that it had mistakenly been cleared. They had no record of the order. By this time we had to be somewhere else so we just asked for a refund. Not once did anyone apologize for the mix-up. They gave me my refund and told me to have a nice day. The funny thing was that we were standing by the counter and not once did any of their employees think something was wrong. This place was an absolute disaster. Seemed very unsanitary from what I could see from the drive through. Felt very cautious about the food when it was delivered cold. The drive through line took about 45 minutes and all the workers seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. I also had a friend with me of a different race and the management treated him with no respect almost rudely for no apparent reason. Would not suggest this resturant even to Hitler. read more

I'm giving my Culver's experience a three out of five. It wasn't bad, but wasn't all that great either. Here's why. Pros: -The burgers and fries were delicious. -They got me in and out pretty quick, but it WAS a Sunday. -They were happy to accommodate my additional requests. -Most of the staff seemed friendly. Cons: -It was rather pricey. -Fries had too much salt for my liking. -The tomato slice on my burger was TINY. I barely got two bites of it and they didn't even bother to put more. -The small fry was also notably very small. -My "concrete-mixer" mixed shake wasn't very well mixed. -The lady at the window made some unnecessary comments about my dog, and then my shorts. I love the Culver's in St. George and South Salt Lake as the food is great and service incredible. The Bountiful store has some issues. I'm hoping it's because they are going through growing pains as they were packed! When I was ordering food, the employee was clueless. I asked several questions about the food and he said 'I'm sorry, ma'am... I don't know.' No effort to go ask someone. The food was good, after two times of reminding them they forgot our drinks and some of our food. The salad was pricey and was pretty blah. I ordered a very specific cheeseburger...very well done, no onions, etc. I've tried this order at different places and my dog gets the most of it. Worst customer service and experience. I ordered through the drive through and waited in their numbered parking spots for 35 minutes as over 20 cars got their food and I'm trying to get a worker's attention. They had to have seen me waiting their as I was the head of the line. I finally get someone's attention and they come back and tell me that they gave my order to the car in front of me and that they'll remake it. I'm almost home when I check the order and find that it is wrong. So I go back and the response I get again was we gave your order to the car ahead of you and we'll remake it. I don't do many reviews, but this is by far the worst experience I've likely had ever. I don't think I can even express how horrible it was. I called in an order for work. They had 30 minutes at that point. Go in, they take the order and finally start. 50 minutes later(for 13 meals) they even took our drink order. So I get it with no drinks. I ask where they are, she asked how many did you have? I told her one for all the meals I ordered. She didn't know. I said I need 15 I'd guess. Then told me they don't fill and you have to do that yourself. I told her I'd have been doing that the last hour if I'd have known. She shrugged her shoulders and walked off. This is no joke. Then our order isn't correct. Why did they ask for a drink order if they had no plans to help with them? And why did they make a checklist and cross off all orders when it wasn't correct? Horrible. Don't ever go if it's a large order. Stick with taco time. They make the process seem less no matter how big the order. So does almost any other fast food place we have used. We do this every week. Culvers frozen custard in a waffle cone is nothing short of delicious! The quality of fresh Wisconsin dairy really makes it stand out from regular ice cream. The chocolate custard is our go-to, but some of the "flavor of the day" custards are phenomenal. My visit @ Bountiful UT There are so many things wrong with my first experience, here's how it went down today. New place - new customer, thought I'd check it out. I about turned on my heal the moment I walked in and saw it was "fast food" BUT I had my boy with me and we were starving so I proceeded forward. Place looked clean (it's new so it should). There is no designated place to stand in line. You just pile in, bunch up and hope you aren't standing behind someone who has ordered is waiting for their food. There are three registers and only two open. I finally get up in my line and the person working the register walks away. The line next to me is dwindling down, new people waking in and getting helped, meanwhile I'm not even acknowledged. I notice a big family walking in so I hurry and bump over to the other register before another person gets helped before I even get a hello. Still the person who "was" working the register was nowhere to be found. The family who was walking in walked up to the register I was standing at - and the worker came up and helped them :lol: Okay whatever, I explain "It's my first time here, can I get cheeseburger a-la-carte or do I have to get it in a meal?" He says I can get a cheeseburger. So I order a fish meal deal, my boy a chicken finger kid meal, and a cheeseburger a-la-carte for us to share (taste testing everything). I ask what the butter burger is, he explains it's butter on the bun - then grilled. Not my jam so I ask to have No Butter. He asks someone if they can do that, they explain to just plug "No butter" on the register. My bill comes to over 20 bucks! Really missing cafe rio at this point! I go get my drink, sit down at a dirty table and wait. Food comes, I literally had a soggy buttery bun, burger and cheese, no lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo, mustard, Nothing! So I go up and there is a HUGE line now! Oh My GAWWWW!!! (Okay I'll admit, anxiety is kicking in now, what's etiquette here? Do I butt in line or stand in the back while my 7 year old is waiting for me at the table ) I sneaked up and asked the cashier if he could grab me someone to help me. He asked what's wrong and I ask "Is this butter on my bun? (Like ::hahaha::: it was drenched! Even he paused in the middle of his button pushing to gasp! So I settle for lettuce, pickle and tomato. He says he'll bring it out to me, I thank him kindly and I go sit down. Okay now on to the fish, fries, and chicken. GREASY! Oh man if you LOVE Trans Fat - and I mean a LOT! THIS IS THE PLACE to go DRINK-IT-UP with your food! Condiments come in a cup that you peel the top off (so it's been shipped, not... like... freshly made - and at the 20 dollar price point, yeah, I would expect more. Taste was ... I'm really trying to be nice, but it was greasy, grease and salt, that's it. He brings out my new cheese burger and it has lettuce - tomato - pickle (two pickle slices) on a dry grilled bun, BUT NO CHEESE! and I'm pretty sure I paid 3 dollars for my cheese! I give up at this point. Oh to be clear, he left HIS instruction on paper on my table and he did indeed ask for a cheese burger, so it's the cook. Me and my son eat our burger, it sucked, :lol: It just did. So the low down. For the price and taste - go to Crown Burger, Atlantas burger, or In and Out Burger. Actually - Lorenas has a KILLER burger! This place really needs to up their game to meet that price point, as for right now, they totally fall short. Nothing bugs me more than an over priced fast food restaurant with a bunch of employees who act "new". I overheard the manager claim she's been managing for 23 (or something) years. Time for a new hobby Lady! There's a chance you may have gotten too complacent. That poor kid should have had HER come help me with my burger. Not help me in the middle of this big family. I'd like her to see the line is confusing. The cook is ... not my problem to figure out, but making mistakes. Lots needs to be addressed. So either lower your prices (not that that will get me back in the door) or offer educated employees, who can lead, guide, educate consumers, make Positive that we have a great experience!
