We treated ourselves to a chocolate-covered Oreo (yes please!) and a sea salt caramel chocolate that was pure gold. Rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet. Honestly, it felt like my taste buds threw a party and didn't invite my self-control. The guy at the register was super friendly and chatty in the best way -- made the experience even sweeter. My wife was wanting chocolate and we wanted to have a baked treat so we came here for one because they have Rocky Mountain chocolate inside as well. The chocolate hit the spot! My favorite was the sea salt caramel dark chocolate it melts in your mouth ! My wife got the chocolate covered Oreo and I was kind grossed by the thought , wasn't the flavor looking but it threw a curveball at me because it was delicious! It had a light crunch with a soft creamy finish. We sat outside in the grass looking at the mountains enjoying our chocolate. But service was horrible. me and my boyfriend went in to get three scoops and a apple. we got his order taken I sat there for 10 more minutes in line for someone else to take mine. keep in mind there's three people there only one "working". they take mine and walk off so I wasn't able to let them know I had one more order. we stood there for another couple minutes u til one of the three teenagers loudly said "bro why aren't they coming down here they don't need anything else" to where i responded we weren't done in which he gad attitude making our next one. the trip ended up being 30 minutes for three single scoops and a apple while we were the only people in the store until we were about to leave. read more

Only reason I gave 1 stars is because the ice cream itself. Rude and forgetful employees. If you order something through even THEIR website, you'll be missing something. They won't even call you to let you know if they're out of whatever you ordered or to clearify any notes left by customer if they have questions. Just put a sticky note in the bag and not even refund it. Then when you call to let them know and to get a refund but they offer to put your name down for next time. This would be fine, except for the fact that they don't put your name down. Then include rude sticky notes. Not enough time to type the whole story but heres some of it. "Please call in to order dog bones. They are not listed on our Doordash menu. Thank you" is a sticky note from 2 orders ago. I had a note about a missing bone and that they had put my name on a list. I order through their app/website because of the rewards program..not doordash unless there's a promo going. Which is almost never. "You didn't pay for a dog bone or dipped bowl but nice try :) have a great day" is a sticky note from this last order. They clearly think I'm trying to get free things when I was willing to pay for it or already had paid for it! I had put a note on this specific one asking to upgrade if possible as there were no options. Along with a note stating a previous order was missing the dog bone (Its always missing yet always charged for. But usually sent with next order). They didn't even bother to call me to ask about it because per their sticky note and lack of any of the items, they obviously didnt understand and jumped to assumptions. I did call the store and they had no resolution or let alone someone who was an actual manager. Just someone claiming to be one, when they were clearly a shift lead, not a manager. I had to specifically ask for a managers number and name after their lack of answers which a manager would have been able to give. I will be calling. read more

I have been going to Cold Stone for a long time, especially because I worked there. I recently went and the service was amazing. They had new management and the ice cream came out quickly and it was exceptional. The team was positive and supportive, and if anyone had a bad experience in the past, I suggest they go back and try it again. Best ice cream in town! read more

Cupcakes are overpriced and don't look like the website. Two of the cupcakes here were supposed to have pink frosting just as the website advertised. That wasn't the case with the ones that were given to me. Cupcakes are also supposed to have a layer of cake. There was barely any cake in them. Mostly ice cream. I am glad my kids didn't like them because I will not get more. No one at the store seems to care. read more

There are like seven 15 year old girls just standing around doing nothing while tons of people are waiting for their order to be filled. Then when you get your ice cream after waiting forever it's sloppy and not well put together. Management seriously needs to take a look at these issues and increase efficiency and product quality. I haven't had Cold Stone in years. When I ate, I loved it and went often. Unfortunately this wasn't for me this time. We stopped in to get our 3 year old a scoop of chocolate ice cream with sprinkles. We were greeted by 4 extremely nice girls. They were all nice and each did something down the line to get the ice cream ready. Great teamwork! The facility was clean and all the toppings were full and looked fresh, even sort of late at night, like 8:30PM kind of late when most places get a case of the screw-its. Not them. Their freezer was full, their Rocky Mountain Chocolate goodies were stocked and also looked fresh, and delicious of course. I'll come here when I decide I would like a special treat. :) I think you should too. read more

I like Cold Stone, just don't LOVE it like everyone else does. This particular location has an awkward flow to it. On a busy weekend you can get in but there's no way you're able to get out without stepping on a few toes. The staff is friendly, but can get a little distracted chatting with their friends on both sides of the counter. As for the product, it's pretty good when done up right with all of the proper fixings. Just a tad too much ice cream at too high a price. Although I WILL say that they coffee lovers only is addicting, so watch out. read more

Typically when I come here, the service is great. Tonight I came in with my boyfriend to redeem his buy one get one free coupon. I had my ice cream in hand and the employee at the register repeatedly said "I can ring you up when you're ready". Finally I told him I was waiting for my boyfriend and he said "yeah but I can ring you up". I waited for my boyfriend since he was the one with the coupon. When we tried to use the coupon the employee rudely told us it wasn't on the account. After getting his phone out and showing the employee the coupon, he was suddenly able to see it. read more

I went to Cold Stone tonight with my friend and her daughter. The prices are insanely expensive, which the Ice cream that I chose was a disappointment. After tonight, I won't ever go there again. Just after we sat down to eat our ice cream, we were approached by an employee right at 10pm, who stated that they were closed. This has NEVER happened to me; terrible customer service. I used to live in Las Vegas and Coldstone Creamery was really good and usually very busy. And I moved once and found that there was one not a block from my location....I was in trouble then, I moved back to SLC in 2015 and there's not nearly as many Coldstone here as I was used to in Las Vegas. The only one I've been to, IIRC, is the one on State Street /5300 South and I've been there several times. However, it's been a while I guess since the place now has gigantic caramel apples with all kinds of topping, I guess reasonably priced but for me, a caramel apple is the worst kind of treat so I passed on that. I ordered a Love It size, it was well done and tasted great. The product and the prep was very good. However (and this may seem silly to report) I sat at a table near the door and I could hear an electronic beep; i.e. when the door opens, a very high shrill beeping noise goes three times, which I guess is to let the staff know that someone is entering or leaving. But OMG, as soon as the door closes, the same beeping goes on about every 30 seconds, 2 beeps then a wait and 2 more beeps. I'm an old guy and about half deaf and this beeping noise was very annoying. I would have left and taken my treat in the car but since it was 97 degrees outside, I knew it would melt faster than I could eat it. I talked to one of the guys there and he said that it's only supposed to beep when the door opens and said the other beeps aren't right but he seemed to not understand that it's VERY annoying. So, I hope the fix it before I go again. That may be a while, since I don't live close enough to visit very often. read more

Went to this location tonight- not impressed. Of the 20 minutes I stood in line, not one of the 4 employees wore gloves; including the boy who was working the register between making the creations. I was also disappointed that there is not a better system for converting their stamp cards to their points system. I had a free 'love it' with my stamps and the boy at the register told me they were useless and I missed the time frame to redeem but that I should take them to Layton. These stamp cards are specific to each location as clearly written on the stamp card itself. Overall, I have always enjoyed Cold Stone but will be firing this location for good. read more
