Following the passing of my mom three weeks ago, I've been DoorDashing a lot of food. Last night, my driver forgot the majority of my order. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager there, who made me fresh burgers and was attentive when I drove over ten minutes later. I have not felt like I've had a lot of wins lately and as silly as it sounds, the staffs friendliness and willingness to correct DoorDash' mistake meant the world to me. I will not be back. I ordered a patty melt and onion rings with a drink in what I thought was a combo, and you have to pay extra for any fry sauce, ranch, etc. That business model is just gouging for pennies. The service was also not great. The person who took our order seemed dismissive. They didn't explain the additional charge of extra sauces, so I ended up going inside the restaurant, even though we went through the drive-through to get a better explanation of why they're charging for sauces when we supposedly ordered a combo. I love the cod here! It's deep-fried and very thick and good and served fresh! I did find that they have macaroni and cheese for kids which I ordered a bowl and a spot on I also love the diet root beer. I have to put lemon in it to get it to foam down. read more

This review is solely for the onion rings. I'm on a mission to find the best ones in the Bountiful area. These currently sit at 3rd (out of 11 places) behind Paces Dairy Ann and Nielsen's. They are pretty dang good! It's a thin batter which allows for a little crunch (but there could be more). The thing that makes these stand out is that the batter is very well seasoned. I don't know why I keep giving Culvers second chances. It takes SO long for our items to be made and more often than not they do not get the orders out in the order they were placed. For example, today I ordered a shake and an ice cream cone. Several cars that were behind me in the queue got their food/ice cream before me. I can't believe they are still in business honestly. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes, spoke to 2 different staff. And ended up not getting the ice cream because they had left it out too long it melted and I could wait for them to make it again. Wish I could get my $10 and time wasted back. And I wish I can say this is the first time something like this has happened at this location. It is not. We will not be returning. read more

This location has been very consistent over the years I have been stopping here. It is the regular meeting place for our club to meet in the summertime for cruise events. The staff is always friendly, the restaurant is always clean, and the food is good with generally fast service. And the ice cream is always wonderful. BUYER BEWARE! Will double charge you, then refuse to fix their error. While in the drive thru waiting for our food we were notified that their system had crashed and did not process our card. We gave them our card back, but promptly checked our account to ensure we were not about to be charged twice. There was a pending charge from Culvers, after going inside to show that we already had a pending charge we were told that it was in error and it would drop. After running the card again there was now two pending charges. I reached out to the GM Matt Young whom said if it shows on the statement they would issue a refund. After providing proof that it is no longer pending and has cleared the account with duplicate charges they refuse to issue a refund. Don't go here unless you are ready to spend double, and have to go through the lengthy process of disputing the charge from your bank. read more

Ordered a shake tonight. Lady who took the order was very friendly and pointed me to station 1. After 20+ minutes of no-one coming by. All the other cars around me were served. Two employees in my rearview mirror, stopped to see my car, but still nothing came. I returned to the window. I had to honk my horn to get someone's attention. When a person came to the window, I explained that I had been sitting there for over 20 minutes. After conversing with a couple employees, he said that they could remake it. There was no apology, or registering the inconvenience. I politely asked for a refund. A minute later the manager on duty came by, and without saying anything other than cash or card, processed my refund. Again no apology, and just shut the window like, who cares about an unsatisfied customer? There were so many ways that this could have gone better in service. read more

I love Culver's. The food is always friendly and fresh. They are not the cheapest or the fastest, which is another reason I appreciate them. Quality takes time and costs a little bit more... They have recently made improvements to their drive-thru as well, adding a second menu board and covers while you order in case it is raining. Chicken salad was a miserly SIDE salad NOT a dinner salad. Lettuce didn't even come up to rim of bowl, couple cubes of chicken on top. Ice cream serving was less than a third of last time I was there. My complaint was nicely answered by employee saying their new manager wanted portion size reduced dramatically. First time coming here and really loved my experience. I got a mini mixer with mint and nuts. It was the perfect size. Very creamy as well. I got the mushroom Swiss single patty burger. So soft and warm. I loved it. The bread was so cushiony and delicious to bite into. It was all compact and never fell apart - one of my least favorite things about some burger joints. Been seeing Culver's commercials for the fried cod. Have to admit we've never been to Culver's so went to this Bountiful location. Was very pleased with the menu options. The restaurant was well staffed on a mid Sun afternoon and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Ate inside and the place was very clean. The Fried cod was indeed fresh, fried when ordered. 2 piece meal is enough for most appetites. It was fresh, flaky, actually fell apart when picked up from one end, so light! The batter was crunchy, light, not salted, making it as good as any battered cod fish I've had anywhere! Will definitely come back to try their burgers. TV commercials lived up to hype. read more

We ate at Culver's in Bountifil on 4/27. Despite there being several employees working, it took 20 minutes to take our order. There was one customer ahead of us. It also took 30 minutes to get our food. When they brought it out, it was cold as it sat on the counter while the employees were all talking. We have eaten at two different Culver locations and have never had cold food. We were very disappointed but did not have time for them to do a new order so we could have warm food. The trash cans were all overflowing so we could not dump our tray, and most of the tables were dirty. We will not be back to this location. read more

The butterburger is reliably very good, the prices are about as reasonable as fast food gets anymore, they got good pints for the sweet tooth that are often on some kind of sale. My only quibble is the fry sauce really isn't good, I go REALLY infrequently so I end up forgetting how bad it is between visits and get some then end up throwing it out after two or three bites each time :/ read more

However, the dining room in the Bountiful restaurant is always a disaster, soda dispenser never mixed correctly, and they STARTED CHARGING FOR FRY SAUCE!?!? I like the food, but maaaaan are they slow. I have come several times and it takes 10-15 minutes to get your food.

I went yesterday due to recommendations by family. The butter burger was delicious, fries were great, fries sauce and ketchup given prior to my order which was great. It seems like I forget to ask since I'm busy checking the order and trying not to hold up lines when I get my food. I'm from Cali so I've never experienced them placing a number on your car and you continue to pull up with traffic until they bring your order to your window. Great concept and it works well. SERIOUS BAD SHOW CULVER's Went through drive-thru...ordered burger fries and chicken strips. pulled forward waited in line and dude came out and handed me my bag "there ya go". Get home about 10 min, no burger!!!grrrrr Drive back, pull up to window they knew exactly who I was and handed me the burger that had now been sitting there for 20 min. All I got was sorry....no would you like a new order, can we make you a fresh one, here's a free meal certificate????...just a one second out of your way "sorry".
