Have been told many times to try this place out. Tonight we finally said ok. The restaurant is nice. but that's about it. It was about 10 of us and we honestly left so unhappy. The food was horrible. We ordered many different items. the Shrimp cocktail taste like boiled shrimp water... the steak burger had no flavor and meat was hard. the Grilled fish... was not grilled and no flavor. the beans tasted like vomit. even my Jamaica had no flavor. I would have thought I had covid with no taste buds if it wasn't for the mint they gave me at the end. Their was a banda. and though I LOVE MUSIC. the place is just too small that its just too loud. I was yelling out my order then the music would stop and im still yelling. Then the bill came. 450.00 yikes. lesson learned. we wont be coming back. Dont waste your money and your time. read more

The food and beverages were delicious and presented well. I really liked the heat of the camarones a la diabla. They offer a different 2-for-1 deal each day. My partner and I went on a Tuesday which was a buy 1, get 1 taco day. I will give them one star because the staff was friendly despite having to scream over the loud house band that plays right in the middle of the restaurant. I don't like writing bad reviews, but I did not enjoy myself or the food there. I didn't try the sushi, but did have a chicken sandwich and their deep fried pepper appetizer. The sandwich was mediocre but I was starving so I ate it. The chicken in the sandwich, the fries, and the pepper appetizer tasted like they were previously frozen (some peppers were still cold inside). I left with my ears ringing even though I stuffed pieces of napkin in them to shield them from the loud snare drum and horns. My boyfriend and I couldn't have a conversation because we couldn't hear. Good place to have in your back pocket while entertaining guests or looking for a drink. The sushi stuff is weird and a definitely overly rich, but the ambiance is unique and fun. I couldn't wait to dig into the food when it came, but my stomach started feeling nauseated because a live band started playing. I call them to place a to go order but they never answer their phones. It's annoying because I live 15 mins away. Please -- just answer the phone so an order can be placed in advanced, don't want to drive there and wait a half hour for my food. I'm not squeamish when it comes to raw seafood but I was concerned when I was served the shrimp ceviche at Culichi Town. Despite adding lime juice to it, I still did not enjoy the dish. Also, the tomatoes made it seem too much like pico de gallo. The idea of a Mexican sushi fusion roll sounds great, but the rice was not appropriately seasoned (some parts of the rice were too soggy and some parts were too hard) and the roll filling was very basic. I think all the components were cooked. I can't remember being able to find a roll with raw fish (although it was probably good that I didn't). Also, the salsa was given in a small (hard to scoop out salsa) shallow dish. It was weird. Luckily, there was not a loud band playing, just loud music. They do a great job with advertisements/billboards. I was surprised to find out that they are a chain restaurant. More surprising when we tried the food. Also, the font they use on their menu is difficult to read. *I appreciate that someone from the restaurant read my review and left a comment. I don't know if they actually took anything I wrote into consideration, but it was still a nice gesture. One of my favorite places. Being a Mexican American this is a great place to get back to your culture. They have great seafood and live banda on the weekends. It gets pretty loud so be prepared for that and if you aren't a fan of noise this probably isn't a good spot for you! We tried the VIP and Michoacán tostadas which were both pretty good. The micheladas are amazing and so refreshing. The mango one tastes just like the mango candy. The fish tacos were good and so were the empanadas. Got the $45 steak and fries. Steak was overcooked, I asked for medium and got well done. The next one they brought looked like it was cooked for 2 minutes each side, sent it back and got a acceptable steak the third try. But they kept the same fries and by then they were cold. Also if you ask for water they bring you a branded bottle of water for $2.50 each. The music is obnoxiously loud and will play the entire time you are there.
