    Super michelada and small botana

Bomb food, BOMBBB micheladas, good & quick service. All the servers are very kind and helpful! I visit this place almost weekly at this point and have ordered many different items from the menu. ALLLL have been delicious. My favorite has definitely got to be the canchanilla shrimps though or the steak and shrimp plate. We always always always get the botana before dinner and it is sooo good!! But it's really the MICHELADAS that bring us back again and again and again. I order the double and it leaves me very filled up LOL trying to finish the super should be a challenge! It is definitely too much michi for one sitting like if I order a super, i definitely don't need any food to go with it. I honestly think the Marisquero michelada may just be one of the very best in the area! I really don't think I've had a better michelada in Modesto and I have tried them a lottttt of places. LOVE THIS PLACE

If I could I would give this restaurant 0 Zero stars, I am very disappointed in the food and I have been going there for a very long time now. I ordered a combination plate carnitas with rice and beans. The carnitas were burnt and very salty they were horrible I pre-ordered and I brought it home I'm very disappointed and honestly this place has permanently now lost my business I will not be going back ever again. I had ordered it for my spouse as a Valentine's surprise very disappointed we both got sick to our stomach if I wanted a plate for the salt I could have just served me salt seriously..

Burrito was pretty mid but this is what I received as a salad. I get that it's not on the menu but my 8 year old sister can make a better salad ..

Full flavor pork with just enough bark. Double grilled tortillas with zippy salsa and fresh cilantro and onion. Soccer was on the TV in the dining area, so it had to be good! #spicemeister approved!

They used to have larger glasses for the beers. I think it's possible that they use the large beer glasses to lure first time customers into returning, then are notified via a biometric scan or rdif chip that a customer is returning and they give them the smaller beer glasses. The aguachile is always good the relleno is good the cocktail is good. 805 Pacifico bud dos x dark dust bowl and modelo on tap. Foods good wait staff is nice locals are friendly

Did you guys know we've been searching for good chilaquiles? This Mexican breakfast dish (usually with tortillas cut up, fried, with red or green sauce) is a favorite and the standards are high. El Marisquero (a local recommendation) totally delivered! We got red AND green versions, and our group praised both! The enchiladas and chile verde sope also very good. The (huge) micheladas at another table looked amazing - we'll need to try those when we come back!

Delicious food, good place, reasonable priced. Bring cash or pay a 3% service charge.

My friend from Modesto told me about this spot, and I immediately wanted to try it. I actually planned my drive around this pit stop, which was just a short detour off the 99. I ordered a biscuit with fried eggs and dear Lord, that biscuit was amazing, and so was the jam! The fried eggs were cooked perfectly and especially delicious with the hot sauces they had to offer. My brother got an egg sandwich on a brioche bun and he still can't stop talking about how good it was. He was particularly impressed with the brioche bun. We also got the blueberry french toast to go, which I didn't anticipate traveling very well, but it did and holy shit, it was fan-freaking-tastic when I ate it that evening. I can't even fathom how incredible it must be if eaten fresh. This place was so cute inside and clearly had an intentional aesthetic direction. There was a cute outdoor seating area in the front where I could have my dog with me, which is a huge plus. The service was top-notch and the food was ready lickety-split. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I HIGHLY recommend this spot!!!

After discovering Lucille several years ago, I will now willingly take rides far from home, although the fares sometimes dry up in the Central Valley. I have been to Lucille twice by myself. I brought my Godmother once. I recommend Lucille to everyone who I drive when they tell me that they live in or near Modesto. Today I brought my boyfriend and my dog, who lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was Saturday, super crowded and my dog was being super reactive with another dog across the way. It was super embarrassing and, although I am sure that it stressed out the staff, they were calm, kind and attentive. I was stressed and shrill, my dog was being a grade-A A-hole. I'm sorry Lucille! The beet salad at this place features fresh mint and I always get it. The chocolate cookie with flaky malden salt is very yummy. Their house coffee is very high quality and doesn't taste gross and burned. I didn't love my soup today. The bar was set pretty high with the carrot soup I had another time. Honestly, it was a small detail and this place is so much better than 90% of restaurants. They sent me another chocolate cookie. That was never necessary. I love you Lucille! Thanks for the extra care and the extra cookie! You really deserve a larger building because you are awesome!

The food was just your typical diner type, greasy spoon kind of place. I got an egg white omelette with ham (looked like cut up pieces of thin sliced deli meat) and asked that fresh potatoes be boiled in water or steamed in water due to food allergy. What I got was fried potatoes. When I questioned the server he just said that's how they come. Do they not have raw potatoes in the back they could have boiled for me?? The taste of the omelette was meh and I only ate 4 bites. I obviously didn't eat the potatoes. The English Muffin felt oily, like someone touched it with greasy hands. I had asked for it to be dry and with no butter. So basically I didn't eat any of my food and will not be back (this was my third time here and none of the other experiences were any better.) Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. This is a hustling and bustling place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, at least don't go when we did. Best part of this place is their wall for taking pictures. I think they care more about making things look IG worthy, than the quality of the product they are serving.

Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.

Several other tables got up and left before we did, including families with young children who had been waiting for breakfast for an unreasonable amount of time. What made the situation especially disappointing was that the bartenders and staff were doing an excellent job under very difficult circumstances. They remained professional, attentive, and courteous despite clearly being overwhelmed by a situation beyond their control.Their drinks were great. We were informed that there were only two cooks working. While staffing shortages can happen, it was disheartening to learn that management was aware of the issue and yet there did not appear to be any effort from leadership to step in and help resolve the backlog. Seeing bartenders and servers bear the brunt of frustrated customers while families sat waiting indefinitely for food reflected poorly on the overall operation. This message is not intended to criticize the staff who were present. They were phenomenal. Rather, it is to express concern about the lack of support provided to them and the impact it had on your customers' experience. We chose your establishment because of its reputation and atmosphere, and we hope this feedback helps prevent similar situations in the future.
