    Salsa and chips

Huge location filled with family, and great flavors. Nestled off 4th street in Ceres is a hidden gem. This location is perfect for large parties, and even has a full bar. You are warmly greeted as you enter, and I was able to pick my seat. I found a nice one in the bar area, so I could watch the TV. House chips and super fresh salsa greet you soon after sitting. The flavors were fresh, and oh it had a great heat. I wanted to try a couple items, so the combination was the best route. I got the #3 I started with the crispy beef taco, it was well seasoned shredded beef, the lettuce and cheese were fresh and it paired lovely with the table salsa. Next was the chile relleno, the breading did not have a overpowering flavor, and chile was filled with cheddar cheese. There were also a fair amount of seeds, so there was a bit of heat. The excess cheese made for a great dip for my chips. Last was the green salsa cheese enchilada. I could of done with more cheese, but the green sauce was really good. The house rice was nice and went well with all the different flavors on the plate. The beans, sadly had absolutely no flavor, and ended up almost untouched. Over all I had a lovely time, and I will definitely be back to try some more items.

Alfonso's always gets five stars - beautiful location in a historic side of ceres - great service and the friendliest staff - great food - large portions

They were out of the beer I wanted. They didn't have the meal I ordered. The small guacamole dip was $14 and tasted terrible, the chips were hard and bland. The salsa was watered down. WY over priced for what it is. The restaurant smelled like pine sol. And the main course, the enchilada was (no lie) as thick as two dimes stacked. Very bland, the chili rellano was small, ok flavor and the taco was bland and $19. Adios Alfonso's I've been coming here for 20 years but tonight's my last time.

Alfonso's number 18 to Chile Riano, with rice and beans. This is one is showing that they cut one in half instead of giving me two.

Idk why but it's just not the same. Its always been delicious and the servers are nice but for the. Last year or so the food has gotten smaller. Or sometimes they'll be out of something altogether. This has happened a handful of times. They seem to go through cooks, so there will be variations in the food that have never been before. Ive had a really small lil Al's. special lunch. And today i got a #18 two chili rellenos meal. They cut one in half to look like two. And prices keep climbing. They are more expensive than any other mexican laces.

Chile colorado burrito which I wouldn't order a again

Rating on food taste: Okay, it's not great which means that the probability a second visit is slim. Customer service: Poor. Improvement needed. Front personnel was not welcoming and rude. Aside from not being courteous you would assume to prove utensils for take out, but did not.

The food is…read moreconsistently good, the drinks are solid, and they easily have the best chips and salsa around. Service is always friendly and reliable, which keeps me coming back. My only real recommendation is to avoid sitting in the bar area if you're in a hurry. Service there tends to move a lot slower, so it can take a while to get your order in and get your food. The restaurant itself is a little run down, and the bathrooms could definitely use some attention, but the bar and outside area is decorated nicely and has a good atmosphere overall. All in all, it's a great local spot and one I keep going back to.

Instead of trying to resolve the situation or make it right, the manager, Noah, became argumentative and tried to debate what had been said rather than listen to the customer. After waiting that long, the last thing anyone expects is to feel like they have to argue just to be heard. What made it more disappointing was the lack of willingness to fix the issue or offer a solution. We came in hoping for a good meal and left feeling frustrated and unheard. It's sad because good service could have easily turned this into a positive experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. At the end of it he realized and came back and finally apologized.

We've ordered a wide variety of items from the menu, and every single thing has been incredible. The carnitas are hands down some of the best we've ever had--perfectly tender, flavorful, and with just the right amount of crisp. And the burritos? Huge, packed with quality ingredients, and bursting with authentic flavor in every bite. You can really tell they care about what they're serving. Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and made with consistency. It's rare to find a place where everything you try hits, but this is definitely one of them. If you're in the area (or even if you're not), it's absolutely worth checking out. This is going to be a regular stop for us from now on. It's so good I forgot to take pics of the food!

They are a pretty new establishment (at least based on the number of reviews) in Ceres, and is across the street from the Home Depot and Grocery Outlet. The inside is lined with booths and a few tables in the center, with a lot of warm terracotta vibes throughout. When we arrived, it was particularly smoky from an apparently really hot plate and it left a hazy fog around the whole restaurant when we sat down at our booth lol There were also several annoying flies during our meal that brought my rating down. We ordered: Nacho fries - The fries on this were more reminiscent of home fries/breakfast potatoes as they weren't really crispy, and more soggy. The asada and guac was plentiful. Overall this dish did its job of satiating SO's craving. Tripa California burrito - This wasn't bad at all! It came with a really good hot sauce. I could have taken shots of it (and I did). The tripa was pungent yet crispy. The fries had the same texture as the ones used in the nacho fries. Before our food came, in-house diners receive a basket of tortilla chips and salsa and their version of 'curtido' (pickly cabbage slaw). I especially liked the freshness and crunch! Service was good. The dude was super nice, although I think he missed my order of a horchata as it never made it out. I brushed it off as a sign that I didn't need an additional sweet drink with my meal :) In the end, I am glad we tried a new place. But I don't know if it is close enough to us for it to be a regular spot.
